• Gisele (8/5): Merci à Nontas pour son accueil - Tout l’intérêt de l’appartement est dans la terrasse qui surplombe Hermoupoli. Très bon accueil de Nontas qui s’est mis en 4 pour que tout se passe bien. Grand bravo à lui. Trop d’escalier et rez de chaussée trop sombre.
• Anna (10/5): Exceptional - Nontas was amazing from start to finish with clear, responsive, and helpful communication via WhatsApp and was so friendly and welcoming. He helped us with our luggage on arrival and departure and also helped us arrange a taxi. Comfortable beds, great shower with plenty of hot water, and a very thorough and friendly cleaner. High-speed internet, which worked best in the living room and main bedroom, so I was able to work online. Not a dislike, but you need to be careful on the spiral staircase, especially after some lovely local wine!
• Rosalia (10/5): Beautiful house stunning location - La Casa Verde is a renovated house with beautifully considered interiors and equipped with everything you need. Clean, tidy, comfortable beds, efficient air con - everything was perfect. Nontas was an excellent host who supported us before our arrival and throughout our stay. Nontas made the stay extra special, offering advice when requested and even booking an early morning taxi to the airport. The house is up on a hillside and this gives the spacious roof terrace the most amazing views of the town and the surrounding islands. It’s easily reached on foot either by using the town stairs (which are one of the unique features of Ermoupoli) or walking via the outside roads – it takes no more than a comfortable 10-15 minutes’ walk to the harbour front. We really enjoyed our stay at La Casa Verde and loved everything Syros had to offer. We hope to return!
• Thams (10/5): We had an amazing stay at La Casa Verde - we will return next year! - La Casa Verde is truly a gem, it`s a newly renovated traditional house fully equipped with all the necessary facilities. It is tastefully decorated and has a beautiful rooftop terrace with a panoramic view of Ermoupolis. We loved the house from the first minute and enjoyed the week we stayed there. Upon our arrival at La Casa Verde, Nontas, our excellent host, took the time to explain everything we needed to know about the house and what the town could offer. He was incredibly helpful, assisting us with scooter rentals, recommending restaurants, and doing everything in his power to make our vacation memorable. The house is a bit up the hillside, but we were okay with the daily walks to and from downtown. It took us only ten minutes to walk down the stairs to Miaouli Square and 15 minutes to get to Asteria Beach. Strolling through the old neighborhoods, with their narrow streets, small cafes and gift shops, and impressive architecture, was just lovely. We recommend a stay at La Casa Verde to everyone, and we hope to return next year. Nothing from our point.
• Krzysztof (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is located almost at the top of Wrondado Hill. Despite the large number of stairs to climb, we were delighted with the view from the terrace of Ermoupoli and the port. Design of the apartment is modern. All facilities are provided. The apartment is very clean, quiet and comfortable. It's hard to find a better accommodation in Ermoupoli. I wholeheartedly recommend it. -
• Emmanouil (1/5): Bad - Stay away! Worst host experience ever! Unfortunately our experience during our stay is not complyimg with the rest of the reviews. We were a group of two couples planning to stay for 6 nights. We chose this house because it was providing a lot of amenities (cable TV, dishwasher and generally a big functional kitchen apart from others) with the intention to use all of them. The house itself is really nice, but not as spacious as it looks in the photos and the location is not central, but walkable distance from the centre. Some people may find it difficult to use the stairs on their way back from it. Our bad experience is all about the host and how he handled our situation. First of all, when he arrived to show us around, made a comment about us being 4 guys, which seemed arrogant and gave us the impression that he expected us destroy the place or that he won't have to provide the service he would have to a family for example (“more demanding customers”). After that we discovered that the cable TV wasn’t working. We texted him on Whatsapp and even though he read our message, he replied the next day in the afternoon. We went to the beach then and when we came back, we found the kitchen, which is on the ground floor, flooded. It seemed like there was a leak under the counter. We immediately let him know about the issue and at the same time we were mopping the floor every few minutes, because otherwise the water would have gone everywhere and ruin his property (not to mention how unsanitary this is for the people using the kitchen). At some point we talked on the phone with him and he said that he will find a plumber for the day after. At no point ever he came to visit the property to check the situation. He even asked us to stay the next day and wait for the plumber in the afternoon. We waited for the plumber who eventually bailed us.
