Guest Reviews
- Estelle (1/5): Bad -
- Estelle (1/5): NOT SUITABLE FOR LONG STAYS - Do not stay here NOT SUITABLE FOR LONG STAYS
Staff are not helpful
Went many days randomly without water or electricity, some days we had none of both. There is no communication when this happens.
Laundry was stolen during my stay
Security cameras don’t function they’re just for show
The wood panel fell down around me, didn’t hear from the condo or the people running yit when I complained.
Bed and bedding including pillow cases, was covered in old bloody
Toaster broke day 2, and I was told it was my responsibility to replace
Not fully staffed at reception, you have to book laundry room access but staff are not always there to let you in on your time
Only a few washing machines and dryers work
Only one treadmill works
Apartment 320 is right next to a chicken farm so you’ll hear roosters throughout the day and night, it’s a myth that they only call at sunrise
Grekot Travel (the people managing the apartment) take no responsibility for any of the issues that occur within the property and are extremely unhelpful.
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Daniela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fanni (8/5): Modern big stylish apartment with a few problems, still good for the price - Really nice stylish modern spacious apartment with kitchen, nice bathroom. The garden and the pool are beautiful.
Comfortable soft pillows.
Two amazing restaurants just around the corner (Chez Cocco was the best for breakfast and dinner, and right next to it EL ALUX RESTAURANTE BAR for a very authentic experience, it was like eating at a Mexican grandmother). It wasn't easy to get into the apartment as we couldn't open the lock box, it was stuck. We got a code which worked but we couldn't get out the key from the lock box at first. The lady at the check in couldn't help us as she has nothing to do with the manager of the apartment, it's a condo hotel and we couldn't reach the manager. It took us 2 hours to get into the apartment.
The floor wasn't really clean.
The bed is very stylish but the round form is very strange and a bit uncomfortable to sleep on (the bedside table leave very small room for two heads), otherwise was it comfortable if you find a right position. No extra blanket.
There were some very basic kitchen equipments but no salt, pepper or oil at least so we didn't really use the kitchen.
The apartment complex is a bit far away from everything and the road is very bad in one way (you can go in the other way with car it's fine) but there are a few small shops and two amazing restaurants just around the corner so it wasn't a problem for us.
- Susan (7/5): Good - Relaxing, lots of greenery in the outdoor space. The WiFi didn't work. It's not very good for the elderly, a long hot walk down a, partly, unmade road.
- Gomez (6/5): Pleasant -
- Cara (10/5): Safe for families and solo travelers - The facilities, pool, staff, location, and neighborhood were all exactly what I'd hoped for. I felt very safe as a solo female traveler, both inside and out of the hotel. Some have said it's in the middle of a "slum," to which I say, "You need to get out more." Tulum is a normal town, with working people, and in no way does that equate to slum or danger or anything. Ridiculous. I loved being in a regular neighborhood - it was quiet and there were shops and a cute restaurant just around the corner. One of the shops ran a taco/gringa stand at night, and they were the best tacos I've ever had! Anyway, Ophelia was great, I rented a nice bicycle from the front desk, electricity and water and Internet were all fine, and I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone! If you go, please say hi to the gate dogs - they are the sweetest creatures!
- Elisbur (9/5): Superb - Everything is so pretty and aesthetic The resort was in the middle of the slum, which was quite uncomfortable to get there in the evening and it didn't feel safe. However, the resort was guided and safe inside.
- Gesine (5/5): Great pool but don’t expect too much - Very nice pool area The rooms were smelly (first room smelled like piss, second like smoke), clear maintenance problems (3/3 treadmills in gym out of service, majority of the washing machines, window in room did not close)
- Kochnieva (10/5): Exceptional -
- Miss (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqusk (9/5): Superb -
- Shaun (8/5): Great place to chill, a little weird getting there - Complex is very quiet and modern, rooms very spacious. Pool are was very nice and never busy. You were able to bring your own food and drink poolside. There are free laundry facilities (bring your own detergent) and a free gym. The area is located down dirt roads, through more disadvantaged areas of Tulum. These were well lit and we felt very safe but they were muddy and the first time you walk down these streets you wonder if you are going to the right area. However you're still only 10 mins away from downtown Tulum and close to all food.
Water from shower wasn't very warm also.
- Libor (8/5): Very good - A resort like hotel at a reasonable distance both from the beach and the central street with restaurants. It seemed to me that they aim at longer stays I didn't figure out how to have my room cleaned, probably my mistake that I didn't leave the keys in the little box by the door. But as they include the safety box key as well I didn't find it safe. Strangely enough the staff at the reception desk told me it was managed by a different company and they knew nothing of it. I just didn't try hard enough as I was not staying long
- Mimoza (7/5): Good -
- Blessing (2/5): No service, dirty rooms, unreliable internet. A very disappointing stay. - The pool area is nice The apartment was not clean. It had a strong smell of mold and dampness, and a cockroach was running around the room. We also had no hot water, and the bathroom window was broken, letting in mosquitoes. Although we were moved to another room, our stay there was still uncomfortable.
- There were power cuts, and at one point the water stopped running.
- The Wi-Fi stopped working several times, which was inconvenient.
- There is no cleaning service provided.
- The kitchen is impractical; there is no drying rack for the plates, and keep in mind that you will need to bring your own tea towel or purchase kitchen towels.
- The reception staff is not very helpful. If there is an issue with the room, you need to contact administration through Booking.com.
- Both our first room and the second one we were moved to were on the third floor, which meant we had to carry heavy suitcases up and down the stairs without any assistance from the staff.
- Leanne (7/5): Good - The studio apartment was beautiful as were the pool and other facilities. It is located in a residential area which does look underdeveloped, however I found the walk to the main street perfectly fine in the day time (didn’t walk at night). It takes around 10-15 mins. They were also very responsive on the booking.com app. There were a few bugs, stains and hairs(!) in the room so it could be cleaner. The drawers were broken in the bathroom and apartment number had fallen off the wall so maintenance also needs to be kept up with. It is very under-equipped with the basics. No cleaning items, no paper towels, lack of toilet paper for a longer stay etc. Had to ask them to come clean my room half way through my stay and provide more toilet paper. Reception staff were quite friendly and did answer questions but I wouldn’t say the tourist information is that great and there aren’t many people around to help - sometimes no one around at all. I experienced the WiFi being down for a day. There is a restaurant but it closes early in the afternoon, so you cannot get dinner and drinks in the evening here. Wouldn’t say this place is for everyone when it comes to service.
- Kristýna (7/5): Ok value - Despite off-roads surroundings, it was easy to reach all the cafés and shops for me. humidity and smoke smell in the room
- Woutrina (7/5): Good - well utilized appt, free use of washing machines and dryers. The location, three of the four roads leading to the hotel are sandy paths with potholes and rubbish all around
- Jūratė (6/5): It could be much better. Before this I was stayed in much better hotel with better price. - The pool was nice. And location. There is not hot water in the shower, only just a little bit warm. The towels and the bedding was dirty when I came. I thought someone sleep before in the same bed and they didin’t change. The bed doesn’t have normal bedding, only bed sheet, 100% syntetic one., and the pillows also weren’t in good smell and syntetic, so I couldn’t sleep all my holidays, it was very uncomfortable the bed and syntetic bed sheet. Also I was shaking from cold two nights until someone bring me something to cover (also thin and synthetic). The tv wasn’t working, first the batteries on remote, after I asked, they bring me, but tv doesn’t provide wifi, so didin’t work for 5 days.
And the last one. The streets around this hotel are in very bad condition. So if you want to achieve marker or central street you must to go in dirt road where are many scores. It wasn’t esthetic place if you need one.
Also it’s not hotel, so they don’t change towels, bed or refil toilet paper.
- Gal (7/5): Nice pool, friendly stuff. The room was not clean. - The swimmingpool was nice and the staff was very friendly. The room was not clean - the bedsheets were dirty. The hotel was in a poor neighborhood and the streets around were very muddy.
- Carol (1/5): Don't bother checked out a day early - The apartment itself was nice and communication with the owner was good .The gardens are tranquil and the pool was relaxing. The lifts worked . Location was awful ,quite a walk to any shops or bars along bad roads and back alleys .noisy and echoing ,noisy neighbours, rude reception staff ,scraping furniture constantly all night long .so bad crying babies barking dogs we checked out a day early .
- Minoshka (1/5): DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! - Nothing! When we got to the hotel with our reservation confirmed on booking and all the room's details, the hotel said they didn't have our reservation. After presenting evidence they gave us the room keys and someone was in our room with another reservation. We stayed with a friend who had a room in the same hotel and had no air conditioning, we opened the windows and now we have mosquito bites all over our bodies. There was NO staff at all in the hotel to help.
- Giselle (4/5): Disappointing - The room did not have air conditioning so we had to sleep with open windows so air can refresh the room. We were bit by lots of mosquitoes. Also, my friend had a reservation in this same place and their room was cancelled, but they weren't notified of it until they arrived there. I would not recommend!
- Irving (3/5): Dirty place and uncomfortable - Location is good, not far from the Tulum downtown Front desk wasn’t polite, condo was very dirty, stains all over the wallets and the kitchen appliances were full of crumbs. The bed was super uncomfortable and the sofa bed wasn’t working, also the sheets were dirty, they were yellow instead of white clean
- Justin (2/5): Very poor - The pool Had no power for a week, no one cared. Staff were like robots, no real service.
- Martin (6/5): Great facilities and value for money - The value for money of this accommodation, considering the included facilities, was fantastic. It's a shame we didn't get time to make use of all the facilities. The hotel also has an in-house laundry room for free use of its residents, which was really helpful. The location is close to the centre of town and some nice places to eat at different ends of the culinary scale. It was sad to see such a great disparity between the quality of the accommodation and the living conditions of some of the surrounding local residents. I realise this may, or may not, be something the accommodation could do anything about directly but, more should be done by the local authorities to improve this surrounding area for long-term residents.
- Nuwan (10/5): Exceptional - The unit I got looked like a 4-5 star room with massive space, really nice furniture and fittings etc. Hotel pool looked fabulous (though I didn't have time to enjoy it). For the money I paid, I couldn't believe the luxury. It's a really nice hotel, highly recommended. Do not follow Google maps directions which will direct you across a dirt road, just look at the map and pick the sealed road annually (if you self drive). This is not hotel's fault though. Check-in closer to midnight didn't seem welcome by staff (I spoke to two staff members both of them were on their phones playing games, and weren't interested in helping me show where to go). That's the only (but a big) negative that I have for this hotel. Staff need training big time.
- Dejan (10/5): Amazing bed - I loved circle bed and furnirure Party happening around
- Ariel (10/5): Good stay highly recommended - Pool, breakfast, employes, room ar conditioner, easy check in. Gym with some broke machines
- Kayla (6/5): Pleasant - Property felt secure, especially being 2 girls travelling on our own Was difficult getting our bags to the very top floor without any assistance from staff, nor the willingness to. Would also have been more enjoyable if there was a bar and more cushions for the sun beds. Was extremely uncomfortable and there were no towels available either
- Sabra (6/5): Overall clean but would not go back as I don’t think it’s a good value for the money. - The unit is spacious and clean. The location: seems close to the center but this property is surrounded by roads that have no lights and get flooded easily. Walking to town at night is very inconvenient. And getting a taxi takes a while.
The unit: lacks basic equipments such as salt and pepper, an iron etc. (To make a stay comfortable these details count)
The gym: 3/3 treadmills were out of order and the equipment is incomplete.
The restaurant: only open until 3pm
The check out: I requested a late check out which was denied, I can understand that. But housekeeping showed up to keep me out at 10:30am. I needed that last half hour.
- Carys (8/5): Lovely setting, close to everything, mind out of the stray dogs - Beautiful pool and lovely bathroom The room smelt a little damp and it’s difficult to find your apartments, none of the staff will assist you as the apartments are private
- Rania (8/5): Good stay and excellent staff. - The facilities. I forgot clothing in the room, and they proactively contacted me right away. The staff is excellent. 11 am checkout is too early, the standard is noon. The roads leading into the property aren’t paved and when it rains it’s very difficult to walk/bike or drive in and out of the property.
- Mounth (1/5): A « 5 stars » hotel clearly not up to the standards - Staying at this hotel I learned a very good lesson: don’t just rely on the looks !! It is true that this hotel looks very good, but I never had such a poor experience! I have booked 3 stars hotels in my stay that really were 10 times more enjoyable than this one. Let me walk you through the (long) list of everything that went wrong:
The safe not working in the room, when you ask the procedure to reset the code, they answer that you’re not allowed to change the code (well then it’s not a safe anymore if everybody that has been in this room knows the code!). Then no blanket on the bed, only a very thin sheet, when I ask for a blanket they answer me that they don’t have any, I had to insist to finally be able to have one. No soap in the bathroom, the window in the bathroom not working (so you can imagine all the humidity in the room). No hot water in the shower one time out of 2… we regularly had power shortages (no electricity in the room, not even the lights)… the fridge was keeling in the room… no cleaning in the room, you have to request it otherwise no one will suggest it to you… there is a restaurant area but no actual restaurant (you have to order from another restaurant and then be delivered at the hotel… It was a mess…
And the worst part is that when you need something or have a problem and go to the reception, they answer you that you need to do all your claims through WhatsApp or the booking messaging platform (only to get sassy answers)
So all in all the only thing that this hotel has close to a 5 stars is the looks, the experience was TERRIBLE! I haven’t felt like at home, not even once… and I would advice going on google maps and have a look around the hotel to see what the location looks like before booking, because you might be surprised by the surroundings… I think by then you understood that I really do not recommend, you will have a way better round for your money elsewhere.
- Ariel (10/5): Great place, great value, highly recommend - Everything: people, pool, breakfast with the pool view, gym, parking private, facility to take the key, large apartment with kitchen, closet, big bathroom, smart tv and beautiful building with a lot of threes. Nothing.
- Mel (8/5): Excellent place to stay - Pool was amazing In the room only place to sit was on the bed. Balcony had only one chair that could not sit on,was broken.
- Fernando (5/5): Challenge - Good Surrounding
- Adam (9/5): Luxury living at a budget price, I would definitely return. - Clean, spacious, great value for money! None of the three treadmills in the gym were working, not a massive issue because you can run along the nearby coast but weren’t operational throughout my stay.
- Martinez (9/5): Superb -
- Melissa (9/5): Best value field money! Very nice "resort feel". - We loved it. Great value, great services . It really is a condo hotel, meaning you have a reception and restaurant on site, but you are in a co fo with all its privacy. There was free laundry too. The TV with Netflix was great to have on the full rainy day. It was very clean and pretty comfortable and the pool was very nice. It was fantastic value for what you get! It is far from town so taking taxis added up as they are very expensive in Tulim
Otherwise, everything was great. We would recommend it especially if you have a car.
- Nicolaas (8/5): Very good -
- Cigdem (3/5): There are better options than Ophelia - The pool and shared areas were nice and there wasn’t usually many people. There is also laundry which came handy during my long stay.
The wifi in the room was good. 1- location is not safe. I was told by locals not to walk on two of the crossing streets
2- the music coming from next door property was loud and all day (starting from as early as 9:30 am)
4- there were ants in the kitchen so cooking or storing food was limited
5- the water didn’t run one day and when it did the water pressure was low and the water was not hot (it’s been chilly past few days)
6- the restaurant closes at 3 pm and has a limited menu so for everything either I needed to walk or take a cab to supermarkets or order delivery (which came with additional cost)
7- all the treadmills were out of order. So if you are reserving this hotel because of the gym please keep that in mind.
I wanted to leave early but the management wouldn’t give my money back. Please keep that in mind as well.
I added a photo of the street. The ants(I have a video but booking doesn’t have that option)
I also added a photo of the store across the street.
- Lenka (9/5): Excellent stay! - Beautiful accommodation, everything you needed was provided – even towels and soap. The kitchen was well equipped, though perhaps a tea towel was missing (something for the future). Otherwise, everything was perfect. Highly recommend. Communication with the hosts was excellent. 👌
The main window facing the hallway had blinds, but you could still see through them. I didn’t feel entirely comfortable because when you turn on the lights in the evening, everything is quite visible :). But it’s not a big deal – a beautiful place, peaceful and perfect for a family, even with small children.
- Bouda (4/5): Disappointing -
- Fanny (9/5): Great deal for the price, I recommend - The hotel is beautiful, and the path to your studio is through a lovely garden area. Very safe and quiet. The room comes with AC so that's neat. When opening the windows, you will hear bird songs. The swimming pool has a great size. You will find a gym and a laundry room that are easy to use. Apparently you can rent a bike there but I didn't do (which I should have). Just a few warning for people to improve their stay:
- If you come from a long trip, have a bottle or 2 of water in your luggage because the hotel does not provide any water (do not drink tap water). There is a grocery store (aki) about 20 mins ago.
- I advise you to rent a scooter for your trip to facilitate your stay.
- The laundry room is free to use but you will need your own laundry soap (so pack some for your trip).
- You can ask the staff to call a taxi for you. I recommend you set your price first (usually 100-200 pesos for within the town for locals to give you an estimate but get ready to pay 'tourist price')
- Security guards do not speak English so communication is not easy if you are not good at Spanish. Management staff speaks English but they are not easy to find.
- the hotel is in a middle of a very poor area, however I never felt unsafe at any point
- Iammarkham (1/5): 28 nights of chaos, NO ELECTRIC, NO AC, No comms from the owners, this place is cheap for a reason. - The best thing about this Condo is the CAT GUERO - Nothing else. I booked here for 28 nights, it was a DISASTER. after day 2 I had NO ELECTRIC for 6 days straight, with ZERO support or updates from the company who hide behind the messaging service ( not the staff onsite they were good ), I had NO AC, couldn't charge my phone, and NO lights, I was living in a sauna for a week with thousands of mosquitos for company and they did nothing to help, I have an online business and asked them from the start is everything functioning, they lied. My business suffered and yet there was more problems after the electric was back, I had continuous AC problems, coudn't get any batteries from them until week 3 to use the safe and had my room cleaned twice in 4 weeks. after speaking with booking.com and battling, I got compensation from booking.com who tell me this place is under investigation, every client who was there was complaining, my neighbour also had her condo broken into and they was asked her to pay she left in fear for her safety. the place is a mess, also the location is in the middle of a slum, you will witness animal cruelty as soon as you step outside myself and people from Canada and USA confronted the locals on this such a shame as the actual hotel itself is nice but ran by amateurs who don't care.
- Holly (1/5): Bad - Nothing this property needs removing immediately due to safety concerns This is not a hotel. These are apartments sold off so when you get there, there is no onsite help. It is also in the middle of slums which are incredibly dangerous. I was just warned not to stand on the road outside the hotel by locals
My apartment was broken into and the owner tried to extort money from me to fix the door that was smashed in from the outside. I ended up leaving and losing money as I was unsafe here. The door was not fixed and no alternative accommodation was provided.
The staff have threatened me and other guests when we have complained about no electricity for sometimes several days on end. A cleaner never changed my sheets in 10 days. I neither I nor other guests have received any compensation
- Hazel (9/5): Very enjoyable. - Friendly staff. Big spacious apartment. Liked the pool and its surrounding area. Interesting walk to the city centre. Could have done with one or two implements in the apartment for casual brushing. eg of sand!
- Desirée (1/5): Mold - The staff was nice, but not really able to do anything. Modly rooms. From the bed and the bedsheets to the Air conditioning to the closet everything was covered in mold. The water out of the shower stank horribly so that we changed rooms, but still had the mold situation. The road to the accomodation is so uneven, it was hard to reach. There is no possibility to buy food, drinks or water within the property. The Appartment complex was probably once build in a very fancy manner, but not maintained at all. The staff is nice, but Not in a position to Help Out in this kind of Situation.
- Luca (9/5): Superb - The hotel itself was really nice, the staff was kind and careful. I felt safe inside the property. The apartment was well equipped, and the photos were appropriate. It was a great apartment all in all. The location is beside a slum. As a daughter and a mom, it wasn't too comfortable to go out of the property without our car. Luckily, the locals were kind, but both evenings the police were there.
- Peter (8/5): Great place that needs some attention - Nice facilities, really nice pool. There's also a gym and laundry which we could use to clean our clothes. The entire hotel is a gated community so you feel safe with, your car. The security staff was helpful for tips for stores. The room was quite beautiful. The location is quite terrible. There's only one normal road leading to the hotel, while the rest are demolished dirt roads that require a lot of care to drive to. The hotel is surrounded by dark areas that so not feel safe for walking. The water in the shower was smelly. There was no housekeeping and we lacked amenities (empty shampoo).
- Ali (2/5): I won’t book here due to power failure for more than 48 hours. - Some trees and greenery around. Free Laundry. Staff are supportive. Room is ok. Where do I begin? The last thing one wants is to be in the middle of nowhere and the electricity goes off and there’s no power for more than 48 hours. They said they had a special supplier which makes matters worse. Anyway, I had to spend the whole day outside. Terrible chemical perfume in the lobby that made me leave. Some people are allergic to fragrances so please make a note of this. This place is located in the entrance of Aldea Zama so taxis are going to charge you extra.
- Touchette (5/5): Nice bed - The room and the round bed. The pool was nice and clean. The bikes are only good for the scrap yard. They are all broken. The redhead lady was not pleasant and seemed to prefer being on her phone. The floor in the bedroom was dirty when we arrived and there was nothing to clean it.
- Stephen (10/5): Great property at a great price - It's really a supurb condo complex. Comfortable, secure, great staff, great amenities. Large pool with a nice sunset. The unit I stayed in, 320, was well equipped and comfortable. The walk to town was short (600m) and I even walked the 3km to the beach and back one sunny afternoon. I'll put it this way: Tulum is growing quickly. The unpaved streets this year will be tree-lined avenues on the next visit. However the 4 blocks of unpaved road that make for the closest way to town were inconvenient when raining.
- Ange (10/5): Beautiful and peaceful - My sister and I absolutely loved the place and were pleasantly surprised as it is even more beautiful onsite than via pictures.
The site is very secured and we felt comfortable going in and out.
We enjoyed the amazing swimming pool, the peaceful and breathtaking surroundings.
The room was beautiful and the staff very professional helpful and available.
We would definitely go back!
Thanks for an amazing stay!
Ange & Eva Nothing per se!
We believe that the place has so much potential that it would be amazing to have a food service onsite! Ok, now we are just being greedy and asking for too much 😅
- Skinner (5/5): Passable -
- Monica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Victor (10/5): A great staying - Every thing, receptionists excepcional very helpful the host very helpful fast assistance with the details and questions thanks for everything
- Kelsey (9/5): A beautiful resort to relax in Tulum - The property was beautiful, the apartment was really spacious and clean! The gym and laundry services included in the cost were also a great bonus. The TV had Netflix/ Disney and the swimming pool area was very clean. Really good value for money. The town is a short walk away and the area surrounding is safe to walk through (in our opinion)
- Olga (10/5): You geting more than you paid for ! - The huge pool is the most gorgeous among all other places we stayed in Tulum. There were no people besides us most of times and we feel private. A lot of staff that taking care for territory, plants, water samples from pool, etc.
There also cats that you can pet :-) There was only one wine glass and only one hanger for clothes - basically I read that the apartment are not full always equipped, so no surprise.
The road when you getting out from hotel is bumpy only if you will be going to the left, if you choose the road on the right - it will work great to go either to city centre, same to area with beaches. We walk to ADO bus station with luggage on wheels and it was perfect
- Party (8/5): Very good -
- Iñigo (7/5): Good -
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional - It's a great spot . The kitchen area was great and included a coffee maker. Bed was comfortable
- Celia (8/5): Lots of style, missing substance - We loved having space for our small family to relax and nap in the afternoon. The security team was super helpful. It looks great and exactly like it did in the pictures. The pool was amazing - we had a great time in the pool almost every day. The host was helpful in getting us Taxi's. It has what's in the pictures and nothing more - it was missing many small things to make our stay comfortable. We planned on using the pull out couch for our son but had no pillow, sheets, or blankets for him to use. We wanted to cook in the oven but had no oven mits. Also, I wish we had more towels and a broom to sweep the floor
The location is okay. It's in a very poor neighborhood, and the road is very bumpy. It's about 1km from everything, so you need a bike or car to get anywhere.
- Samantha (9/5): Superb -
- Frank (10/5): Would definitely go back. - Facilities, atmosphere, bed, shower Front desk staff (inattentive), location was a bit off main strip and unpaved roads
- Peter (9/5): LOVED this place. Little oasis in Tulum. - I loved my stay at Ophelia. Nice sized room, nicely equipped studio kitchen, small balcony, AC. Fantastic pool, adequate gym, amazing (free) laundry, free bikes, helpful staff.
You can take a bike to the Tulum ruins, cenotes, to explore Tulum. Selecto Chedraui supermarket 500m away that sells everything. Selection of bars, restaurants at the end of the unsealed road including an AMAZING seafood taco hut on the right. Thumbs up! The pool deck was being sanded during my 7 day stay. The process was very slow & still only a section had been sanded & blocked off during that time. It seemed to be a couple of hours work in the morning & then left all day. However, the main issue for me was that all the dust went in the pool & no one cleaned the pool which also filled with leaves, petals & twigs from the lovely surrounding gardens. Not that nice when in the pool.
Another very small thing that would be great is some maintenance to the bikes that had wonky tyres, broken brakes, shifting handle bars & no way to change the seat height.
- Javier (1/5): Dirty, dangerous area far from everything, rude staff, disgusting and overrated. - Terrible location, rude staff, dirty, loud noises, dirty water, dangerous area, overrated Terrible location, rude staff, dirty, loud noises, dirty water, dangerous area, overrated. Shower water was dirty and smelled like rotten eggs.
- Gonzalez (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice 👌 good location There are no toilets on the restrooms behind the lobby.
- Rodrigo (1/5): Scam - Nothing They rented me a room that they knew was useless, there was no light from the beginning to the end, I couldn't take a shower or be in the room, the administration stood aside saying that they had nothing to do with it... they promoting themselves as they are in Aldea Zama, the most luxurious area of Tulum and that is not the case, they are outside of Alda Zama on a land that was an irregular invasion until two years ago... now neither booking, nor the hotel, nor its administration hotel wants to take care of the $1,500 pesos I paid for a room THAT I COULD NOT USE. Definitely one of the worst options to choose from in Tulum, and booking, without a doubt the most abusive platform with poor policies for its clients... real scam
- Monika (5/5): Passable -
- Giovanni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rodrigo (8/5): Very good -
- Renan (7/5): Some stuff would need to be fixed - The place is big enough, looks new and has a good feeling. For the digital nomads, the area next to the swimming pool is great and even offers mini meeting rooms for 2. The fridge is quiet, it didn't disturb my sleep in the living room. The neighbourhood is the total opposite of the hotel, it's safe but doesn't look like it. You'll have to ride / walk / drive on a badly maintained bumpy road to get in and out (not good at night with no light). The water in the shower smelled a bit. The noise insulation between the apartments is not great, we could hear the neighbours moving chairs all night and it was very loud. The convertible couch was partly broken and not comfortable.
- David (8/5): Very good - The pool area and that it‘s new the location of the property, close to the „favelas“
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - The hotel is stunning! It is actually better than the photos which is rare! the pool is amazing and the common area as well and all the interior design and landscape is just beautiful. The room was really big and had a beautiful small balcony and a kichenette so you can easily stay there for weeks. There was a pool bar but it was closed during our stay, not sure why and we couldn't even get a bottle of water but if we drove for a few minutes.
- Abhishek_sen (7/5): The location is not good, you need to have a car or scooter. The gym not good. - The apartment is very good, luxurious, room size, sofa, tv everything is very good in the room. Its very green, amazing swimming pool the gym is very bad. there is nothing other than dumbles and smiths machine, they switch off the AC, very difficult to workout properly. No drinking water.
- Greta (10/5): Exceptional - Everyhing what you need! Love this place!
- Margolis (8/5): Very good - Central, a little away from the main buzz, but close enough to walk there. Place was clean, neat and adequately equipped the water from the taps are salty.... and not nice on your skin when you shower
- Sabrina (8/5): Very good - Very good Gym, nice staff! It's a bit hard to reach through dirty roads
- Katarina (1/5): Not good, no recommendation. - Noone were there to welcome us.
The securite guy at the gate doesnt speak english and we were staying there for 30minutes trying to explain that we have booking confirmation and that we need to go to the room.
As we enterance the room, was so dirty, sheets was not ironed and clean, sheets were not changed from the spast guest that was there, towls had bad smell and there were marks on the pillow from the persons that was in the room before us. Its clear that sheets were not changed and were dirty. Bath tab wasnt clean. We want our money back.
We went to reception but noone was there to help and we disnt have a chance to do anything as it was midnight and we didnt feel safe going around to look for new hotel as the location is in the area with poor people. We slept well dressed due to dirt and bed smell od the bed.
Also, around 10am someone from stuff tried to open our door with a key without knocking. All
- Vincenzo (9/5): Superb - Lovely place.
Great staff.
I'd really like to thank the head receptionist...
He's been great!!! The main road needs improvements...it was all muddy.
- Lorenzo (9/5): Superb -
- Craig (3/5): Poor - Nice complex. Common areas well maintained Lack of essentials in suite. No toilet tissue no dish cloths or dish towels. No remote for TV. No hot water in shower. Lack of interest from staff to respond or resolve issues that we had with the suite. Deflected responsibility to other agencies. Booked a suite with full kitchen to discover it was completely lacking with utensils, cookware, functional condiments containers, etc. Would not recommend this facility to anyone until there is a definitive operational change in how the suites are managed and maintained!
- Stuart (10/5): Peace and tranquillity outside the madness of Tulum but close - The staff were very helpfull and considerate The bedwasa little hard but still good
- Onno (7/5): We had a cam stay, after being last minute relocated to another location for the first night, luckily we connected to th - Friendly and helpful staff of the complex, washing machine, calmness, gym Not enough kitchen equipment, very few bikes for so many guest and most were broken, the whole place could use a bit more vibe and atmosphere, moisty smell in the room and pillow,
- Nicoletta (9/5): Superb - The apartments is new, very well organized, the main room is confortable, common areas are amazing The living room has a bed-sofa but you get a lot of lights.
There are works around so you should know in advance how to reach the property with you car to avoid to end up in some dangerous area.
- Greta (10/5): Exceptional - Here is everything you need! Best place ☀️ Nothing bad
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional - The facilities are excellent, and the pool is fantastic. The place also offers great amenities. The complex is located far away from everything, and it is difficult to find public transportation nearby.
- Zoe (6/5): A little disappointed! - The pool area was a nice place to relax and the whole place is nicely decorated. The electric bikes are a huge bonus! This place is so close to being nice but at the same time so far off! My room was missing basic amenities like shower gel and toilet paper and wasn’t cleaned during my stay. The staff were nice but not at all helpful if there’s a problem (with the exception of Eliih!). The property is just that little bit too far away from town and there isn’t much nearby in the way of convenience stores and restaurants. I was a bit disappointed by my stay to say the least. I would recommend somewhere else for a similar price point!
- Ricardo (7/5): Good -
- Manning (8/5): Very good -
- Chloé (9/5): Amazing 🔥🔥🔥 - Really nice hotel close to everything. The staff is super helpful. The place is truly beautiful
- Fernando (8/5): Great inside but not outside - The pool is quite big and clean, there's plenty of space in common areas to remotely work from with a view of the pool. The amenities are high quality. While inside its very aesthetic, outside the hotel its surrounded by squatter villages and dirt roads. There's a constant police presence but it does not look safe to walk around at night or go anywhere in any direction. I would advise to only book if you have a rental car since you drive a few mins down south and Aldea Zama its a very safe and clean area. Unfortunately going in any other direction its surrounded by a large squatter presence.
- Anna (9/5): Amazing stay! - Beautiful, calm places. Great rooms with clear bathrooms, nice personel, posibility to take a bike. Nice view, nature, big swimming pools with comfortable space to rest. One I had problems with wifi and it was solved very quickly. During longer stay - there is nothing to clean room (from sand from beach etc.), so you need to write to hotel or find people to ask about cleaning.
- Diana (2/5): Unpleasant - The pool was super cool (not heated though), free parking which was secured 24/7 The room has a strong unpleasant smell, it has these dirty stains on the walls, outlets didn’t work, electricity went out multiple times a day, roads to hotels weren’t done and I suggest you to have a car because of the far location (you could walk to the nearest shop or restaurant in 10-15 mins)
- Žan (9/5): Superb -
- Eva (9/5): We loved the pool and its surroundings. The room was modern and clean. - The complex- the pool. No food possibility and the delivery was problematic.
