Easy access to Dundee, St.Andrews and many more towns and the coast The room we were in (the only downstairs room) had a hallway between the room and bar. A few people using the hallway to make phone calls right outside room door and also this room is below kitchen so woke at 4am with residents in kitchen noisily chatting. Bring your earplugs!

Kitchen with washing machine was great but could do with a small table and a couple of chairs so you didn't have to eat in bedroom. Small windows and couldn't open them, room hot and only a fan to cool. Wasn't the pictures I saw on booking . com.

• Richard (7/5): Ok place to put your head down if passing through. - Parking. The room was a good size and the bed comfortable and the shower hot. Team and coffee making. The traffic noise until later hours of the night. The shower controls were too high up for me to reach and I needed to get a tall person to turn it on for me. Wouldn’t be any good for someone under 5’3. No refrigerator. No meals close by but we had a delicious meal at the golf course club about 7 miles away.

• Sunyoung (9/5): - 나와 내 친구 이ye olde hotel에 4일 머물렀다 4일 전체 같은 방에 예약이 안되어서 첫 3일은 킹베드가 있는 방 화장실 포함 둘이서 함께. 아래층 길가 도로변에 출입문. 마지막 날은 더블베드에서 화장실 공용 각자 한 방씩 방 두 개 2층에. 아래층 킹 베드룸 방이 무척 컴 침대도 편안 방은 무척 깨끗. - 마지막날 지낸 더브베드 룸도 적당한 사이즈 보통의 방 참대는 더블 오케이 그러나 가방 두 개 두기엔 약간 협소. 전체 호텔방, 아래층 화장실, 공용화장실 과 부엌 모두 리모델링이 된수퍼 크린. 오래된 물이지만 잘 관리된 곳. 공용 부엌도 충분히 음식 만들어 먹을 수 있는 취사 도구가 다 구비 됨 커피외 티도 넉넉히 준비 되어 있음. 사용서가 필요 없을 정도의 알기 쉽게 적혀 있는 세탁기도 있음. 부엌도 수퍼 크린. 4일 동안 우린 매일 식사는 직접 요리. 냉장고의 음식 보관 자리도 충분. 아래층 바의 직원분들도 무척 친절. 우리는 체크인보다 이른 시간에 도착 과 체크아웃 이후에도 짐 보관이 필요. 미리 짐 보관 요청을 해 놓았음. 무척 친절이 해 주었음. 투숙객 중에 세인트 앤드류에 골프 치려 가는데도큰 문제 없음 바로 호텔 앞에서 승하차 올드링크까지 버스로 넉넉히 15분. 버스도 자주 있음 주중에는 거의 10분 마다. 지닌 리뷰에서도로변의 자동차 소음.방음이 안된 오래된 건물. 나와 내 친구는 많이 예민하지 않았어 그것은 문제가 되지 안았음. 문제1 아래층 킹베드룸의 샤워 물 조정기가 너무 높았음. 천정 발ㅗ 아래 설치 됨. 5‘1인 내키에 닿지 않았음. 바에 가서 설명. 친절한 여자 바텐더가 건너편 자기 집에 가서 접는 플라스틱 스툴을 가져다 줌. 이 문제는 해결. 문제 2 아래층 방에서 도착 첫날은 그런대로 괜찮았음. 왜냐면 리뷰에서 하수구 냄새가 있었다는 글을 보았기에. 긴장했음. 그런데 둘째날 저녁 때 돌아왔을때 세면기에서 변기 냄새가 약간 심했음. 임시 방편으로 세면기에 화장질 덮었음 약간의 차도. 문제 3 층계에서와 위층의 비끄덕 소리는 충분히 이해 됨. 2층 부엌 외쪽문과 부엌문에 약간의기름칠이 필요. 주변방들에 소음이 됨 전체적으로 그 주변에서 숙소로 가격대비 아주 좋음.
• Sunyoung (9/5): - Previous reviews mentioned car noise from the street, noting that the old building lacks soundproofing. However, neither my friend nor I are particularly sensitive to noise, so this did not pose a problem for us. Issue #1: The shower water control knob in the ground-floor king bedroom was positioned too high—it was installed right up against the ceiling. At 5'1", I couldn't reach it. I went to the bar to explain the situation. A friendly female bartender went across the street to her own home and brought back a collapsible plastic stool. That issue was resolved. Problem #2: Regarding the downstairs room—the first day of my stay was reasonably okay. I had been a bit on edge because I’d read reviews mentioning a sewer-like odor. However, when I returned on the evening of the second day, there was a rather strong toilet-like smell coming from the sink. As a temporary fix, I covered the sink drain with toilet paper, which helped a little. Problem #3: I fully understood and accepted the creaking noises coming from the staircase and the upstairs area. The left-side door in the second-floor kitchen, as well as the main kitchen door, could use a little oiling; the noise they make is disruptive to the surrounding rooms. Overall, considering the area, this accommodation offers excellent value for the price.

• Alistair (7/5): I was in the St Andrews area for work so really only needed somewhere to sleep and so the accommodation was acceptable. - It was close to St Andrews and it was extremely reasonably priced. The room was clean, bright and warm. The welcome was very friendly. The entrance, stairs and hallways are extremely dated (needs a new carpet). It is a shared bathroom which appears to be shared with 4 other rooms. (although I didn’t really have any problems waiting to use it) The shower is electric and, as is usual, with this type, the water pressure is pretty poor.

Room recently refurbished but poor finish to the job. Bed was comfortable and room was serviced each day. I did not appreciate that no food was available at all on site. Only a Spar supermarket and very average takeaway were available in Leuchars. Room was accessed directly from a separate door on the street. Did not feel very secure.

La struttura é un po' d'epoca ma questo la rende affascinante ,una piccola sistematina ad alcuni particolari come togliere i vecchi ventilatori non funzionanti dai vetri e accessoriare un po' di più la stanza con un paio di sedie e appendini non sarebbe male,il Pub sottostante é un po' rumoroso nei fine settimana ma alle 23.30 chiude tutto,comunque torneró sicuramente perché siamo stati benissimo.

A king size and a queen size bed overpower the room leaving little space for things like: a bedside table within reach of either bed. A bedside light beside either bed. An easily accessible main light switch for the room. You need to remove the king size bed and substitute a regular double bed, then swap their positions. If you do that then there will be room for all of the above that are currently missing or out of reach.

Det visade sig att "hotellet" låg i en pub, och vi var där torsdag-söndag, så det var väldigt mycket ljud sent på kvällen. Det fanns också något i närheten som pep var 45:e sekund, så det var aldrig tyst. Badrummet var helt utkylt och hade inget element eller sätt att värma upp det, saknades toaborste men fräscht i övrigt,

It was easily accessible in the car, and there's the option of taking a bus from the bus stop close to the hotel. The staff were great. Nothing I didn't like. It was a lovely place and we had a really nice stay.

Hyggelige lokale gjester på puben Badet var svært kaldt. Ikke mulighet for varme der, da badet manglet stikkontakter Hotellet anmoder om å bruke håndklær i flere dager, men det var ingen knagger å henge håndklær på.
• Neil Astley (5/5): Budget hotel convenient for St Andrews for car drivers - Friendly staff, clean room. Convenient for St Andrews and much cheaper than hotels there. The only reason to stay in Leuchars is that it's only a 15-minute drive to St Andrews where parking is difficult if you're attending events. Most central parking areas have restricted parking times. No problems with parking in Leuchars and you can actually park all day in St Andrews at the Petheram Bridge car park which is a 10-minute walk into the centre. I drove but if you were coming by train you could get off at Leuchars (the nearest station to St Andrews) and walk to the hotel from there. Location next to a busy road junction. Cold room on the ground floor with its own (outside) door, radiator didn't work, not a place to stay when it's really cold as it was when I was there. No table. To use the kitchen facilities advertised (including microwave, fridge etc) you had to go outside and to re-enter by the main door and go upstairs to a different part of the hotel.

• Robert (7/5): It was a decent venue for a one night stay while attending a 2 day seminar in St Andrews. For what I paid, it was good v - It was near to my work location. It was a nice historic building. I had a huge en-suite room. Good parking. Very comfy beds and very clean. Very close to a busy road and windows were single glazed, so it was quite noise intrusive especially early in the morning. No tea making facilities.

It met expectations and was very good value for money for two nights. Shared kitchen and bathroom were very clean. Room had a tv we could log into our own Netflix which was a nice touch. Nothing to remark, met our expectations in that it was very affordable and the staff members were friendly.

• Ewan (4/5): Disappointing - Bed was comfy Easy check-in Room was right by front door & draughty En-suite had sewer smell which seeped into room if door left open TV was far too high
• Lynette (7/5): Very satisfying - Great welcome by staff. Made us most welcome. Great advice for the surrounding area. 3 flights of stairs difficult for my wife.
• Guy (3/5): Smelly, noisy and bleak. Would not stay again. - The beds were comfortable. It had good parking. The staff were friendly. Its on a great regular bus route between Dundee and St Andrews. Despite being a family room there was almost no storage. No wardrobe, just a few shelves and a bedside cabinet. The room and more so the bathroom smelled of damp and dirty drains. The smell was clearly long standing as it had permeated the bedding and mattress. The room was off the main entrance to the bar and unsurprisingly was very noisy. We had been by staff that the pub closed at 12:00 so we weren't expecting to get any sleep before then - fine. However the music and din from the bar continued until 1:30am and was so loud in that room it was impossible to get any sleep. This was then compounded by a full on shouting match in the car park between some drunken regulars who had been ejected and the staff. I got the impression this was not a one off occurrence.
• Chad (10/5): Ye Olde Hotel was a breath of fresh air after staying in an over priced resort with a lot of rules, as threats to charge - Friendly staff, clean and charming rooms, comfortable beds, good value for the price.
