- Claire (10/5): We will recommend to family and friends and would certainly return. Thank you - The hut was beautiful - very comfy and cosy. It was well equipped inside and situated in a lovely location - in a little orchard. We were even joined by some chickens from a neighbouring house! Nothing
- Ismael Pintley (10/5): - Very beautiful and cosy cottage, lovely host and quiet area. Small but has everything you need. Good bathroom and comfortable bed with a TV and kitchen. Highly recommanded! Nothing!
- Naomi (10/5): Fabulous shepherds hut in wonderfully peaceful location - This is my second stay here and for a goods reason - this is a perfect spot to relax, and decompress and super location for lots of lovely walks in the surrounding areas. It’s very peaceful and relaxing and conveniently located for ease of driving access to all the well known little Cotswold villages. The host is super friendly and helpful and we were welcomed with the most delicious home-made bread and jam. Nothing, it’s perfect!
- DIBIN (8/5): -
- Dave (10/5): Easter break - Rosalin thought through everything to the space saving table and bed. The pancake mix was superb there was a hairdryer we had everything we needed There was nothing you could dislike

- Naomi (10/5): Great location, and a wonderful place to switch off from the world! - Set in a beautiful location with stunning views. The host was very welcoming and helpful and provided us with delicious, home made bread, marmalade and fresh eggs. Truly a place where you can really switch off and recharge. Also an amazing spot to base yourself for nearby beauty spots and wonderful walks. Nothing! I can’t fault it.
- Melanie (10/5): Come here! - Spotlessly clean. Relaxing. Quiet Nothing. Everything was perfect.
- Veronica (10/5): - The very peaceful location in an orchard. Very welcoming hosts and their homemade bread etc they provided for breakfast. Perfect location for walking and cycling around the Cotswolds villages. All good.
- Andrew (9/5): Good location and very well equipped - Hugh was very helpful when we arrived. The hut was a bit more spacious than expected and very well equipped with all the finishing touches you need for a great stay Nothing to dislike really, outside area could do with a little TLC

- Akanksha (10/5): Exceptional - It is a lovely Shepard's Hut with its own independent entrance away from the main house which means you can enter and leave whenever you please without disturbing anyone. The hut is placed in a garden with ample of outdoor space, a fire pit and a hammock which means you can use it when it is bright and sunny and also when it is cold.
I had been wanting to try out a tiny house or a Shepard's Hut and couldn't have asked for a better laid out house. Absolutely loved the well-stocked kitchen and the breakfast hamper was lovely. This wasn't a problem but good for people to know - it is a pull-down bed. This means you get ample of space during the day to walk around the hut and can have a proper sit down meal. But if you're all by yourself, you'll need to push hard to get the bed back up. We didn't mind and quite enjoyed the feature but if you're a solo traveller or someone with an injury, do keep this in mind.
- Janice (10/5): Subject: Thank You for a Lovely Stay at Cheworth! Dear Roz I just wanted to take a moment to say how much I enjoyed m - Everything , so compact had everything you needed. Nothing to dislike
- Alison (9/5): Idilic peaceful retreat - Perfect quiet break in beautiful surroundings. Clean and tidy with everything you need from all the appliances to a comprehensive welcome book with all the information needed for our stay with a delicious hamper too. We stayed during a heat wave so it was pretty hot inside. The fan supplied was ok but not super powerful. However this weather is not common in the uk. We would love to visit again when the weather cools down a bit.
- Richard (10/5): Exceptional - Nice to be greeted on arrival with uncomplicated and helpful tips.
Hut was very clean - it was like new.
We had our own entrance/exit, and the hut felt private.
Great walks and pubs nearby Driveway has a tight turning circle and backs onto a hill - we had a small car so it was fine, but you're best off parking at the top of the hill and walking down if possible.
It's very much in the countryside - if you're going on walks nearby, be sure to bring some insect repellant, and be selective when opening windows, lest the creepies crawl in
- David (3/5): A lesson in parsimony. - Location and cleanliness,
but the whole experience was soured by the meanness of the food provided in the non-existant "Hamper" and having to aslk for basic stuff that is supplied in other Glamping locations. NO HAMPER AT ALL!! THE DESCRIPTION IS TOTALLY MISLEADING AND PROBABLY IN BREACH OF TRADE DESCRIPTIONS LAW. Very small portions of absoulte basics supplied in the pod. Not even any biscuits to have with a cup of tea. Marmalde was in a tiny pot insufficient for even one slice of their home made bread - this was for a two night stay. I was told that I could ask for anything I needed. I got some eggs, they were free range but spread over the pan like an oil slick over water. They were clearly quite old.
Having to ask for everything makes it feel like the Ryan Air of Glamping.
I did ring the bell to make a request. No one in - not a problem. BUT as I headed back to the Pod I heard a car arrive. I turned back an tried to get the attention whoever it was got out of the car. She avoided eye contact and walked away.
Are customers an unwelcome but necessary irritant to these people I wonder?
- Callum (10/5): Exceptional -
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Srikumar (10/5): Recommend wholeheartedly - Quaint. Wonderful location. Small but perfect for a weekend. Very helpful and nice couple. Loved everything. Including the farm hen that entered our room for a moment 😊
- Lauren (9/5): Perfect cosy quiet getaway - Really cute, cosy little shepherds hut. Private garden area with chickens roaming around. We were delivered fresh bread straight from the oven on the first night as well as some eggs, butter, juice, marmalade etc. It was the perfect location for us attending a wedding locally and had all the amenities needed eg full length mirror, iron etc. For how small it was (not bad small but it is a shepherds hut) it was very efficient. The parking was a bit confusing, you don’t park at the property although I think this would be a nice touch. We were directed to go and park on the side of the road about 200m away. I think this should have been specified before hand or maybe allowing guests to park on the private driveway.
- Paula (10/5): Lively host, friendly and welcoming. A lovely additional touch of hot fresh bread, milk, eggs and butter x - Everything you need for a get away and more.
Shepherds hut was a nice different place to stay Nothing , could not fault the property
- Leeanne (10/5): Well, put it this way we didn’t want to leave we wanted to stay longer - We loved the Tranquility and the beautiful countryside with a cozy shepherds hut and lovely hosts Nothing
- Benis (10/5): Wonderful hosts, cozy place and a beautiful area to explore. Highly recommend staying here. - The hosts were amazing! They welcomed us in person with a quick rundown of the place, provided homemade pancake mix and fresh bread (still warm when we got there!) and were always available by phone or even next door in person if anything came up. The place itself was very cozy and clean, and all the appliances were well-documented with directions. There was also a whole binder of information covering local restaurants, maps of the area, taxi services, and other useful things that we found very helpful. The area is a bit difficult to travel around by foot so a car or pre-planned taxi is pretty essential. The hosts provided taxi service numbers and booking websites so we ended up managing perfectly fine. Also cell phone service was a bit spotty in the general area so weren't able to make mobile phone calls while on the property. That said wifi was very smooth and I'm sure the hosts would have been happy to help with any essential phone calls with their land line, so definitely ways to work around these things. And just to be clear these issues are probably pretty universal to all of the Cotswolds area, so as long as you know what you're getting into with staying in a quiet village you should be all good.
- Pravinda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madeleine (10/5): A fantastic weekend! - We had an amazing stay at the Shepherds hut, Ros & Hugh were so welcoming and the freshly baked bread and eggs for breakfast were a lovely addition to our stay. The location is nice and quiet, surrounded by farm land but also so close to lots of beautiful villages for walks, a spot of window shopping and cafe pit stops. The only very minor, minor down side for us was the lack of water pressure in the shower and the hot water tap in the kitchen sink. This didn't take away from our great stay at all but a little higher pressure would have been perfect.
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional - Cosy.. comfy.. clean and well equipped.. did not need for anything. Welcoming hosts supplying a tasty hamper with your essentials all home made. Wonderful.. quiet.. picturesque location accessible to local attractions towns and villages. Extras such as maps.. games and literature all well thought out for a fabulous stay. Thank you both Every thing
- Derek (10/5): Perfect venue for a special occasion and ideally placed to visit Cotswold landmarks. Excellent hosts. - First time in a Shepherds Hut and we’ll definitely visit again. Different experience but so much freedom to come and go as you please. Ros and Hugh excellent hosts. Went through everything we needed to know then left us to our own devices. They were always at hand if we needed their support (everything had clear instructions on how to use and we didn’t have to bother them at all). Nothing, everything was spot on.
- Gabsiq (9/5): Amazing Stay at the Cotswolds - Super Cosy facilities. Easy to warmup, The kitchen was really well equipped with lots of very handy stuff. The decoration was really nice. Good bed and the bathroom was very functional.
The location was great very close to lots of interesting places in the cotswolds area.
We loved the hamper! The Bread and eggs were amazing! Parking was off site, we found a space not far away but in the night you must walk through a road (not busy to be perfectly honest) but dark.
- Ness (9/5): Nice, small compact hut with lovely breakfast - Breakfast lovely The bed was super comfortable however the pillows are awful. The worst we have slept on and we stay somewhere every month for work. The pillows seriously need an upgrade to feather.
- Leeanne (9/5): Absolutely wonderful, and we will be returning - Brilliant location the shepherds hut was very cosy it was so peaceful We had a few difficulties with the shower
- Church (9/5): .my stay in the cotswolds - The facilities were great The host's were very welcoming.
- Timberly (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable space in beautiful surroundings.
- Ann (10/5): Fantastic - would definitely recommend - Very clean and beautifully decorated. Lovely location and very friendly welcome. Nothing - everything was perfect
- Linda (10/5): Peaceful, relaxing, wonderful hosts and we loved the daily visits from the chickens 😉 - Wonderful location peaceful, the home made bread provided was a lovely surprise and tasty 😜 All positive no dislikes
- Sara (10/5): A relaxing, tranquil break in a beautiful part of the of the Cotswolds - The peaceful and quiet location Nothing
- Ron (10/5): The accommodation was very good. The owner was very helpful in helping me travel to another location - The Food provided enabled me to have a Good Breakfast There is nothing that I did not like.
- Kye (10/5): Exceptional -
- Simpson (10/5): A true gem both in terms of the accommodation and the village. - It was a lovely touch to have breakfast provided including home made bread and fresh eggs.
The hosts were very welcoming but not intrusive in any way. A true gem of a place! So well designed with quality fittings. So peaceful in it's own little orchard. It was all excellent.
- Tony (10/5): Exceptional - A beautiful setting, comfortable lodgings, quiet and chickens running free. My wife didn't like the shortcut that I found.
- Laura (9/5): Had a fab stay! - Although it is in the back of someone’s garden, it is very quiet and seperate to the main house which Is really lovely. The owners were super friendly and welcoming.
- Jonathan (9/5): A great welcome and we really enjoyed a relaxing stay at the Shepherds Hut. - It was well equipped and comfortable, in fantastic surroundings and very peaceful. The breakfast provided was excellent. Nothing
- Sinead (9/5): Superb - Some great walks, lovely extra touches, cats and a chicken. What's not to like! Nothing comes to mind.
- Daniel (9/5): Superb -
- Edyta (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlene (9/5): Perfect couples retreat - The fact that Shepherd's Hut was private with its own entrance was lovely. The owners are amazing bringing freshly made bread they had made themselves. If there was anything you needed, Ros made it very clear to give her a shout.
- Jackiescruff (9/5): A little piece of Heaven 💖 - The welcome was lovely. There was everything I needed including cereal, eggs, milk, croissants, tea, coffee etc. The location was beautiful, very private and peaceful. I just had a bit of a problem finding it with the Satnav, especially in the dark. I would definitely recommend it to a single person or couples. The bed was comfortable, just a little high to get into if you've got short legs, maybe a small step could be supplied? Aside from that small thing I loved it and will definitely book again if I'm in the area. Thank you Ros, Hugh and your lovely daughter ❤️❤️❤️ There wasn't anything I didn't like apart from the step up to the bed which can easily be rectified ❤️❤️❤️
- Heather (10/5): Peaceful stay in a beautiful setting! - This is a really lovely shepherd's hut, it was more spacious than I expected inside, with a hob, fridge, iron, etc., everything you could need. The bed was very comfortable and there is a hidden window when you pull the bed down so be sure to open it in the morning for a lovely view and, if it's sunny (we were lucky, it was) the sun will stream in through it! It's all very clean, comfortable, insulated and heated. We loved staying there and hope to return! The owners were friendly and homemade bread and breakfast supplies were much appreciated. The setting is beautiful, with outside seating and lighting, private and very peaceful. Chedworth is a lovely village, so peaceful! Highly recommended!
