Guest Reviews
- Anyang (9/5): Satisfied with everything except food. - Very clean, welcoming atmosphere friendly staff. Excellent value for the money. Food. Breakfast is good but the hotel needs professional cooks. Too much salt in every order and meat or chicken sometimes not cook well.
- Christine (10/5): Fantastic! - Having matoke in peanut sauce was a culture but tasted great The wifi was a bit weak
- Екатерина (10/5): -
- chris (7/5): Great stay - Reception was good Wardrobe
- Andrew (8/5): -
- avako (9/5): - A bit noisy in the night.
- Juliet (5/5): - The hard mattress or bed
- Otim (7/5): - The room Custom care
- Gérard (10/5): very peaceful, well organized and so attentive, my new reference of how a hotel should be managed. - Just very service oriented, kind and helpful staff. Definetely return to this place when in Gulu again. I booked the trip for my partner, She says the trip to Gulu with the stay in the hotel was such a revelation compared to how the energy feels in Kampala. She spoke about heaven how she has enjoyed her stay. When i told the boda boda guys where to take me, they spoke with so much respect of this hotel. Like: "You mean that beautiful hotel is where You are staying?! Is like I got treated with more respect only because of that fact. Arriving at the hotel hotel, staff would already be out to take my luggage to my room. The whole experience was from such other levvel, to be honest I have no other reference to. Every morning staff would inform if I want my bed sheets, towels be changed, or if something else I would desire. Cannot think of anything to be honest.
- maliheh (8/5): Very central, clean and a good size room - It's a nice hotel, very clean and very central. When I arrived the room that I was promised was not good but with support of the manager and the owner, I was moved to a better room and very comfortable. The owner and the manager have been very professional and responsive but I believe they should have trained their staff to communicate with the guests in a better manners. Within 4 weeks travelling in Uganda, it was the first time that I had too much problems with their unreliable WiFi. Also not very responsive staff especially the kitchen's staff and the person who's serving the breakfast. I hope the manager and the owner will consider my suggestion and provide some training to the staff for the better quality of service in their hotel.
- Aaronbailey2182 (1/5): Best look elsewhere - I picked this place because it close to my work. I should have left sooner. Note to westerners, this place has no card reader. I was expected to figure out how to wire them money, and then to pay the fees. They raised the prices on the food, and never had a complete menu. A few times they tried charging me for substitutions, on food they ran out of!. I never knew who exactly was working because everyone is always on their phone or chatting with their friends. Or even asleep in the lobby. I even walked in on a fight in the lobby.
Working online was impossible. The bandwidth could barely connect to my phone let alone a laptop. And the power went out almost every day.
And perhaps worse of all it was filthy. There were bugs everywhere and mysterious puddles I had to walk around. The showers were bizarrely placed, and there's a step in the bathroom. The water sprays everywhere except near the drain.
I've traveled around the world, including very austere conditions. I thought "this is just gulu", however there are much nicer places, I suggest you book there.
- Monicaangella (9/5): Superb -
- Geofrey (4/5): Disappointing -
- Basil (8/5): Very good -
- Philiph (9/5): Superb -
- Akashvn (8/5): Great value for money - The staff was friendly especially Justine. The breakfast was simple and nice. The bathroom seemed a bit poorly designed. Drainage of the water to the outlet wasn't great and some water always spilled into the toilet area.
The mosquito net couldn't be closed properly but that's a minor inconvenience.
- Kilara (10/5): It’s a place to stay without a question just go online from whenever you’re and make Tina Ma Hotel your home while you’r - The Manager Ivan became a brother to me. The staffs are all so helpful and amazing. They made me feel at home and it was so hard to leave after my two months of staying there. I highly recommend Tina Ma Hotel for your short or long term staying while you visiting Gulu. My room was the best with AC throughout the day and night. I wanna short out Ivan, Justina, Charity, Wod Laliya, the lady that helped me with laundry throughout my time there and all the staffs you guys became truly ely my family. The location, cleanness, staffs, rooms, reception area and not forgetting the rooftop bar.
- Nyombi (7/5): It was a great place. Comfortable bed and pretty legit. - It was okay. But the food I ordered while at the Hotel had a lot of salt or too oily The way the some staff treated client concerns. Not with urgency.
- Allan (7/5): Good -
- Doryn (10/5): Exceptional -
