• Joseph (9/5): Lovely stay in a tidy, modern lodge! - Lovely little lodge with ample room for 4 adults and a young child. Well maintained and clean, with a fantastic view out through the kitchen / lounge. Was not the easiest to find as signage is not great but it is a minor point.

• Steve (6/5): Stunning spot, quality sleep impossible - Stunning spot, peaceful & well equipped As other guests alluded too, the sleeping situation is an issue. It ruins what could be an oasis of calm and relaxation. The beds are horrendous which makes sleeping incredibly uncomfortable, it’s impossible to get decent periods of sleep. Any slight movement ( genuinely), by either person creates so much noise. It’s a ridiculous really. Heavily metal sprang cheap mattresses reverberate sound through old box divan bases.

• Rachel (5/5): Great location with fab views just needs some TLC - Spacious cottage with fab view from terrace located down a private lane in quiet location, surrounded by countryside. The property has a lot of potential but photos are dated as it is needs some maintenance. The biggest issue for us was the beds ! I didn’t see negative review until we looked after our first night. Bed in main bedroom is very “hard “and creaks every time you move so even if you do go to sleep you are woken by your partner. On the second night we swapped rooms with our teenage daughter that bed was very soft and lumpy. Also things to note, there is only a fridge in the kitchen (no freezer compartment) not an issue for some but we had a few items of food and ice packs we needed to store. Also not clear in photos if you are staying more than a couple of nights there are no wardrobes just a small rail with some hangers. The bathrooms need black mould removed and grout cleaned or replaced. The extractors are in a switch above the bathroom doors and I suspect guests don’t realise hence the mould issue. Also bathroom lights have PIR not sure why ? When you use the bathroom in the middle of the night you don’t want to be fully woken by the blinding light ( especially when you haven’t had much sleep).

Great wide view - could just sit and watch the weather changing. Peaceful. As it was a winter visit, with a dog and dirty wet footwear, perhaps a Runner doormat (a longer, larger doormat) inside the property would have helped. We bought towels with us to put on the floor to try and keep things cleaner.

• Dw85 (5/5): It's ok needs updating /decorating - The view One of the beds was far too soft for us so my kids slept there, the other far too firm would have been softer to sleep on the floor. The location was ok but if you go in anything bigger than a standard car you will struggle to get through the entrance as it's quite tight. Cleanliness definitely needs to be picked up on and a general upkeep needs to take pace. Lots of stains on walls, mismatch, paint, etc. We didn't take a dog but on the side in the accommodation there was a notice saying Please leave money for your dog staying. Luckily we just needed a place for one night so we dealt with it. Probably would not stay there again.

This was the only property that allowed us to bring our cats with us as well, so we can’t thank her enough for that. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Overall it was a really lovely place to stay My only small negative is I would have preferred curtains in the bedroom in addition to the blinds so it was a bit darker in the early morning.
