- Almeria (5/5): Double booking woes - An arrangement was made for us to meet our needs particularly for a strong wifi network for our son's remote work. We were given a different unit which was not the one we paid for or made the reservation for.
We were informed that there was a double booking. We were given a diffirent unit even though we arrived earlier.
The first unit given to us was unkept. There were cobwebs. The floor was dirty. The bathroom was dirty as well There was no running water.
The beds were unmade. It looked like they were used. A towel was left hanging on the rack indicating it was probably already used.
We had to check the photos of the unit we reserved to verify if we were in the right unit.
When we confirmed that we got a different unit, we called the host. We were told that there was a double booking on the unit we paid for.
After some time, arrangements were made to transfer us to a better unit. But, this was not until we called to ask if we had the right unit.
It would have been better if arrangements were made beforehand when the host found out about the double booking. Information should have come from them.
BTW, the double booking was made in a different app.
