• Young (8/5): A good location and a comfortable stay, we needed nothing more. - We were attending a Lions Club Dinner at the sports club in Bingley Road and the Wykin Inn was relatively close to the venue. Although it was not the country inn I was expecting, our room was spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable and the bedding first class. The shower was perfect and the bath towels a decent size. Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked and very tasty. And the parking was free! All in all, it was just what we needed and good value for money. It would have been nice to have tea facilities in the room. The coffee and tea station in the bar could have had a glass of clean teaspoons available, but we were given fresh milk each time which was excellent. No other gripes!

• Thompson (4/5): Wouldn't stay again. - The staff were very friendly. The breakfast, that you can pay for the next day, was amazing. Beautifully cooked and staff couldn't do enough for you. The room was very smelly, the bed was clean, but the bathroom was not. The toilet hadn't been cleaned properly, someone else's faeces in the bowl. The smell coming from the bathroom was vile. This was not due to cleaners, this smelt like collapsed drains. The room itself was just what we needed, small but had everything you needed, bed, plug sockets, very hot in the room, no fan. A fan would help, had window open but didn't help. No tea/coffee facilities in room. Also no remote for the TV. Didn't watch it much but would have been nice to be able to.

• Nicky (8/5): - We have stayed before and wyken in offers what you need for a short overnight stay however we had requested to be in a room close to where we has stayed previous, I requested this with plenty of notice and on the day was given what seemed to be the last room available which is situated right by the entry door to all rooms which means you hear every person coming to and from their rooms. This really disappointed us and unfortunately we will not choose the wyken in again which is a shame as we come to Coventry twice per year.
• Richard (6/5): Unfortunately won’t be staying again, appreciate it was a Saturday night but still - The bed was comfortable Far too noisy, not much can be done about the main road but the clientele slamming doors became too much as did the shouting, again, not much the hotel owners can do with that but its not what I want as a aging man wanting a good sleep for the next day. Also no tea and coffee facilities, no glass to get a drink when it was above 20 degrees. And no air conditioning to cool off

Patrons extremely noisy sitting outside and lave music that’s shook the building, could not even hear the TV in the room when turned up loud. Room so stuffy and hot. No air con or fans available. Had to go to the shop at 11pm to buy our own. Door lock dodgy, struggles to lock and unlock

The room was tidy and they provided clean towels It’s alright for what it is. The doors next door can be very loud and you can hear noise from other rooms and I suppose others can hear yours

But Jennifer got us a kettle, cups, milk and teabags to take to our room. It was very much appreciated. No hair dryer or tea facilities but Jennifer got the kettle etc for us.
