Guest Reviews

- AbdulRasaq (8/5): My stay was great at the place, all facilities mentioned on the advert was present there. And no disappointment. - The organisation is appealing. Nice cosy space.
- Leon (1/5): - Says parking there was no parking
Rooms was dirty staff unhelpful
- Waller (8/5): -
- YUET CHUN (1/5): Feeling Cheated - Location This B&B only has 1 bathroom and toilet. There are three rooms for six guests to share, which makes everyone uncomfortable and nervous. The website does not specify that the bathroom and toilet is shared. If it is clearly stated that the bathroom and toilet is shared I should not rent it.
- Tharusha (8/5): - The staff and the friendly owner There were some dust under the bed
- Krzysztof (10/5): - It's quiet close to sea (Cardiff bay trail for example) as well as to shops if need almost anything. đ It isn't owners fault, but there is lack of parking space, so I would bear this in mind next time.
- Lucas (8/5): -
- Justin (7/5): - Kind and helpful hosts
Super comfy bed, good wifi and room amenities including a bottle of water
Good location to cwntre and Cardiff Bay with good transport links
Clean washroom given shared and didn't have to wait Traffic noise given room faced the main street
Odd noise when toilet facilities on tne upper floor were used

- Ryan (10/5): - The room was very clean and comfortable and the staff was very welcoming

- Alison (5/5): Cheap, but a bit grim. Accommodating host. - Comfy bed. Peeling wallpaper, chemical smell, rusty radiators, dusty chandeliers.

- Pics (10/5): Fun and relaxing - Nice and quiet room with confortble bed and tv. Just small Q to.the bathroom in the morning
- Vladimir (8/5): - The shower in our room was amazing, the bed was very comfy and everything was very clean TV was a bit small, but honestly its 100% worth the price
- Robinrai (8/5): Itâs fine - En-suite shower Cost of room & surrounding area also need a chair in the room & decor is outdated

- Damien (7/5): Friendly, helpful; all good. - Friendly, helpful; all good.

- Fiona (8/5): Great place to stay as a base to explore Cardiff. Comfiest bed weâve ever slept in when away from home. - Extremely comfy bed, really friendly hosts. Room was clean but could do with a good vacuum under the bed and down the sides of furniture.

- Darryl Westie (10/5): Ill be back ! - I read some of the other reviews, think some unfair in my opinion, floors squeaky a little as said but so what, the place is a lovely old 18 th century place was so nice, showers awesome, wifi good, hosts were so dam helpful and location perfect for me, 15 mins walking to central Cardiff , the room was awesome I just loved it, shower awesome to, shared yes but no waiting for me the two nights I stayed there, very clean and wifi good to ! TV worked ok for me, id not hesitate to book here again easy ! Nothing to not like honestly !!
- Linda (6/5): - Manager and owner were really accommodating and friendly. Shower head would not stay upright on holder and shower was dirty.
- francis (10/5): - Paul was very friendly, inviting and helpful.
- Angela (7/5): -
- Rita (5/5): -
- Gareth (9/5): Good value for overnight stay - Clean and tidy small double room. Very comfortable bed. Great towels.
- Rebecca (2/5): Would not recommend - The staff were friendly and sweet. The location wasnât too bad. It was very dusty everywhere (although I think the bed was clean - which was the main thing). The fan had a lot of dust on it so we couldnât use it. The sides and floor were dusty, it just felt dirty generally. The shower room and toilet are in the same room and shared on one floor with other rooms (also not clean). If someoneâs showering you have to wait until they are done. We had to knock because someone took over 30 minutes.
- Sudheer (7/5): Good -
- Katie (9/5): Superb -
- Patrick (7/5): Adequate - Nice friendly stop over, close to town, no issues Was ok
- Carikl (10/5): Exceptional - We had a lovely little room which was perfect for our stay to watch a concert. The host was lovely and welcoming and the location is just a 20 min walk from Principality Stadium!
- Jo (8/5): Very good -
- Maggie (6/5): Very Small, But Good Budget Option - The staff were lovely and welcoming. We were very happy to have an ensuite shower and toilet. Very small room, hardly any floor space for luggage. Tricky to get upstairs with big suitcases.
- Alan (8/5): Very good - Bus stop right outside the property, straight to the city centre.
On street parking is free, Would have been nice to have a breakfast option when booking. But there is a small cafe a short walk away., which is very reasonable and the food was lovely.
- Ho (9/5): Superb -
- Mallyjoe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (8/5): Nice place to stay. - We were happy with the room for the price we paid. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and tidy. The shared bathroom was clean and a nice hot shower. Plenty of street parking that is free. It took us 20 minutes to walk into the city center and to see the castle. The only thing being and old place is the floorboards creaked when you walked on them and the door squeaked when you opened and closed it and so did everyone else's door. The internet was very slow at times, and you couldn't get on.
- Josh (8/5): Very good -
- Anne (8/5): Lovely stay - Homely
- Joanne (8/5): Very good -
- Mohsin (9/5): Great place for a short stay - The house is clean and calm. You'll find everything in the Bedroom itself, microwave, coffee, toiletries, iron, hair dryer etc.
The host is also very cooperative and responsive. I had small issue in the room and he immediately fixed it. The location is not the best. The neighbourhood is a bit dirty and crowded.
- Julie (9/5): Superb - Friendly and welcoming staff
Comfiest bed I've ever slept in away from home
Good location for access to city centre On street parking could be tricky to get a space
Bathroom queues
- Penelope (9/5): Lovely staff, lots of facilities - Lots of facilities in the room such as iron, kettle, fridge, microwave, table and chair. A huge comphy bed and a wardrobe.
Staff were really friendly when I arrived.
Free street parking. A very fair price. The location worked well for me as i had my car, but is not the close to restaurants and the town centre.
- Andrea (4/5): no good! - The receptionist-or the owner-if you needed something, you had to ring the bell and he came from the upper floor, where he lived. He was very helpful, which was the only positive thing about this accommodation. When I needed a refrigerator, he brought a small one that could fit just one 0.5 liter bottle of Coca Cola. The room was tiny, no chair, no table, only a bedside table. The bathroom was dirty, there was a basket for towels, which was always full, no one emptied it. Also, when I needed to heat up food, I had to ring the receptionist, I couldn't use the kitchen myself. I have the impression that the owner lived in the house, because you could see something like a living room, where there was a terrible mess. It made a bad impression. It was also terribly cold there, the radiator didn't work. The street was very far from the center, but there was always a lot of noise outside in the evening. My window faced the street. The hotel also only has 4 free rooms. And there are also cats that run freely in the corridors. Allergy sufferers - beware!
There was another lady staying there with the hotel owner who was constantly coughing. Something terrible at night, I woke up regularly to her coughing. The walls were like paper, you could hear every noise.
- Dylan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paula (10/5): good stay in Cardiff - House is very central, 30 minutes walking to the harbored, 30 min walking to the Castle.
It was very clean. Shared bathroom was spotless every time I used it.
Noises are the common one if you have lived with your family, you can tell there are people there (open and closing doors) but is not disturbing at all.
Shower was hot and with good pressure.
There's plenty of parking on the street. It was a really good stay
- Alanna (10/5): Thank you so much for a lovely, comfortable and clean stay! - The bed was soooo comfy!
- Charlie (8/5): Very good -
- Jonathan (4/5): Disappointing - Shower was hot. Bed was comfortable. Dusty, strong body odour/sweat smell in the landing upstairs.
- Ludmila (8/5): Very good - Great location. Very close to the city centre on foot, by bus/train.
- Nicola (8/5): Very good -
- Celine (7/5): Good -
- Renato (9/5): Superb -
- Jean (7/5): Good -
- Chandler's (6/5): Pleasant -
- Carla (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dizzy (7/5): It was adequate to my needs and I would stay again - Love the dressing gown! Decent big bottle of water was on hand and everything worked, until I inadvertently switched off the hot water. The location is great despite not being in a posh place. It was warm and cosy. The blinds over the window were dusty and the window hadn't been cleaned properly. The lights were too big for the room and a couple of times I accidentally knock the lights and the metal fittings were loose.
- Lavelle (8/5): Good value - Quiet and cosy room, with clean and comfortable bed.
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Hanny (8/5): Very good -
- Mei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
- Helen (3/5): Thanks but no thanks. One of the worst places we have stayed and yes we have stayed in some bad ones too - Honestly the only good thing is there was a bus stop right outside to take you to center Damp smelling room with mould beginning on the wall and going black in places no sink or bottled water in room just a glass bottle you had to go and ask for them to fill up out of kitchen tap. One bathroom and toilet for all rooms and not cleaned after people
- Jack (7/5): Good -
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Sean (10/5): Very nice - Very friendly, nice and helpful staff. Also itâs quite close to city centre and has a bus stop just in front of the house. Lastly it is a decently priced accommodation. Not much really
- Jessica (8/5): Great stay - Lovely guest house, the hosts are so friendly and welcoming. Very convenient for getting into the city centre with a bus stop right outside and a train station just a 5 minute walk away. Would happily stay again. We didn't realise there would be a cat (not sure if they live there or just snuck in), I love cats but it did set my friends allergies off a little
- Megan (7/5): Good -
- Dani (6/5): Pleasant -
- Ash (9/5): Superb -
- Jason (8/5): Very good -
- Oliver (8/5): Would love to come back and stay and I hope the hosts of TY Rosa get in touch when they come down and visit my hometown - It was homely and my hosts were lovely and very helpful! The shower could have been more powerful and easier to use without turning the temperature up too high - that being said everything else about the property left me very satisfied and this was a minor item worth mentioning simply as I know the owners are house proud and care deeply about their guestâs experience, working over time to ensure they are always looking to improve it.
- Carol (7/5): Good - Not being able to replenish teabags and milk etc without having to go downstairs and only once the kitchen was open. The hand towel in the bathroom was only there on the first day and the soap ran out on the 2nd day.
- Manish (8/5): Nice place for short stay near Cardiff Central - Great and warm hosts. Room and bathrooms were clean and decent. Location was accessible by bus from Cardiff central. There is a Pakistani restaurant and convenience stores close. Microwave in room can help, Heating can be better. Bathroom door was not completely closing. One has to take a bus or taxi to move around city since walk to Cardiff Central will take 20-25 mins.
- Ellie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steve (7/5): Old style boarding house within a 20 minute walk of city centre. Shop, café and restaurant close by. - En suite modern. Bed comfortable. Quiet and peaceful. WIFI signal good. Multi socket extension in room for phones, tablets etc. Overall good value. TV reception not brilliant although we didn't really watch much.
- Roderick (9/5): It was on enjoyable brief stay at the Ty Rosa rooms. The bed is comfortable though the pillows are not that supportive. - The property is clean and the room is spacious 1. There is only one toilet/bathroom
2. The pillows are not sturdy enough. My head keeps sinking. Tried double pillows but that was a little too much
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -
- Spencer (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (10/5): Good value and very clean - Friendly staff, very room and bathroom.
Public lounge area.
Very near to bus stop for number 9 bus
- Jain (10/5): Exceptional - Good place and friendly staff
- John (5/5): I expected little more cleanliness, like no dust on the floor under the bed and no spider nets on the wall!! -
