Guest Reviews
- Amanda (10/5): Wonderful accommodations - The property and the Guest House are amazing! I travel a lot and found the experience wonderful from check in to check out. The room was spacious and very cozy and, the food at Adam's Rib is beyond compare !The Guest House is now my go to in Ct! I can't wait to go back!
- Brian (8/5): - Great space would be better if there were kuerig cups to go with the machine in the kitchen
- Yasmin (1/5): Bad -
- Kristin (6/5): - The pictures are very deceiving - as they are of the Guesthouses not the main hotel. I thought I was booking at an Inn, but I was really booked at a regular ole chain hotel. One that charges $8 per person per day for their pool! (you should really change this policy for paying overnight guests - why should we pay additional for facilities like this?) There's also nowhere to walk to from here, so if you're without a car expect to be paying for Ubers everywhere (which is fine as they're readily available). Overall, felt this was just a typical hotel stay whereas I was looking at the "18th century Inn" and was really confused as to why I was paying to use hotel facilities after paying for the hotel.
- Yogabydayna (10/5): Enchanting, spacious, walking distance to restaurants - The Guest House is enchanting. Our front staff shared a bit of the history including the story of the demolition risk and how the Heritage Society saved it! Lots of space, great bed, full kitchen, wi-fi, both tvs are easy to use, within walking distance of restaurants. We would have loved to eat at the restaurant but it was closed for Independence Day. The pool was closed for repairs. Other than that, we loved our stay.
- Robert (9/5): A great boutique hotel on the north spud of Logan island sound. - I have had better. The ‘breakfast potatoes’ were the pre- made bought-in hockey puck, so basically disgusting. On the other had they did have marmelade as well as jelly. And the service was attentive. It’s a big hotel and not a mom-n-pop breakfast place so it will never measure up to the standard. But not too bad for a cookie cutter hotel restaurant.
- Becky (10/5): - Very nice, though rooms a little small. We were only there for 1 night.
- anthony (10/5): - it was amazing will stay again food was good comfort was great
- Andrew (10/5): Great place near SoNo - Lovely place with kind staff.
- Adam (6/5): Disappointing - Furnishings and housekeeping are sub-par. TVs are pathetic, no wifi information in the room, walls are paper thin, shower is small, housekeeping forgot washcloths, couch uncomfortable, furniture is old. Won’t stay again. Felt more like a halfway house than a nice Inn.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Very clean and the one bedroom suite was very spacious.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Tiny And AC units are difficult - The ac units in this place are very difficult to figure out - so much so we suffered much of our stay without any ac.
The rooms on the first floor are substantial. But they first had us on the third floor - despite the write ups on their site these rooms are TINY and I wouldn't want to spend much time let alone more than a day in either - especially if I were traveling with any company.
Their site also boasts adults only. This is not the case.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The guest house was extremely charming and clean. Service was friendly and efficient. Our bed was more on the firm side and sounded like it needed a little WD40..
- Judith (10/5): Cozy Inn in wonderful little city - The Inn is undergoing renovation but it did not affect my stay. Hearty food, reasonably priced in dining room/bar. Very scenic and a real nice homey feel. The guest house was amazing! Gorgeous Victorian home carved into suites. I could live in this suite! Easy in and out of parking lot. I will return. However, you should prefer charm and comfort over glitz to choose this hotel. Staff appears to be somewhat new but trying hard to give good service.
- Melanie R. (6/5): No night at the inn. - When we arrived we did not get the booking we had done on line which was a junior suite which had microwave, small fridg. And stovetop. Instead we got a king bed without microwave or stovetop.
The young man who check is in said he couldn’t find the reservation and would we accept the other suite. We had been driving since 4am and just want to rest. It all worked out fine.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - The room was nice but bedding and pillows had small stains. The staff was friendly
- Jeannette (10/5): Very comfortable and clean room! - Very nice room and kitchenette! Comfortable, quiet, and clean!
- Daniel (10/5): - Check in & room were perfect! Will absolutely stay there again....
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The room was nice and the amenities were as advertised. The details and woodwork of the guesthouse were beautiful and much of the entry was from the original house-they renovation was done beautifully. When we went to check in, we were given to the key to a room that had not been cleaned. It was also not the room we booked (it was a studio style and we booked one of the suites with a bedroom and king sized bed). Unfortunately I was told when booked through a third party site they cannot guarantee the room type even though you select/pay for it and they could not compensate for that. They were able to give us a different studio suite that had been cleaned after another small wait. Once we got into the room, it was nice even though it was not the style room we booked. The restaurant on site was wonderful. The location is a couple of miles from a nice beach/park area.
- Nancy (10/5): Spacious and lovely! - When we checked in the staff was obviously dealing with issues, including a large event and a broken elevator. Yet they got us processed quickly and got us on our way to our room. Very friendly, helpful front desk staff! The room was a very spacious efficiency with a kitchen, living room, sleeping area combination. Very nice large bathroom and everything was very clean! Good to note, the ice machine is located in the main inn so a cooler is handy. Enjoyed our overnight stay and would return. when passing through the area.
- Thomas (8/5): Very good hotel but please fix the Internet! - Very nice hotel. We stayed in the "Bush suite" and it was perfect. I traveled with my son, 11 years old and daughter 9 years old. This room was perfect for us. Very good bed, high quality bedding. There is a kitchen with everything from a fridge to a dishwasher. If I could make one negative remark it is the WIFI that keeps dropping out, you find it but there is no internet. My son got real upset because he kept losing in online games because the internet stopped working for 4-5 minutes at the time. Probably an easy fix!
- Michael (10/5): What amazing place to stay… Furnishings were great - What amazing place to stay… Furnishings were great… Service was great… Overall feeling of the room was great. Only gripe is the restaurant… Would love to have a real five-star restaurant here. It would be amazing! However, this is a great stay!
- Leah (8/5): Great decor, nice suite - Beautifully decorated suite, including a nice kitchen, dining area, work area, living area, etc. Wonderful for a long or short term stay.
- Hugo (10/5): Awesome place - We were thrilled to stay in this Historical Building. Our Room was Big & Spacious. The decor was lovely & calming. The Hotel offers a Free Shuttle to local sites and Resturants, take advantage of this service, it's great. The room & bathroom were spotless. We were disappointed with one thing, THE BED. It was very uncomfortable. We were disappointed that they took pride in decor & cleanliness and invested $0 on their Mattress. Bummer.
