- Rebecca (9/5): - Cute location and lava tube guide was excellent. Saw kangaroos Should have some grab n go meals and breakfast available
- John (8/5): A lovely place to stay - The re-purposed railway carriages were unique accomodation. No power points near the bed

- Kayla (10/5): Comfortable stay and welcoming great service - Beautiful location and surrounds
- Rozi (7/5): - Staff were amazing. Beautiful serene location. Your guide was fantastic especially with engaging our young children. Camp kitchen was great and well cleaned twice a day. We stayed in the swag tents and they all seemed very run down, needed some TLC. Shower block was closed so had to use the one for powered camping which was fine although basic. Limited menu and no bush breakfast available due to start of season. What we had was delicious though.
- Petr (8/5): -
- Lewis (4/5): Considering the cost of staying and dining here it was poor value for money. - Location,Fuel available,Quiet,Friendly staff,Railway carriage accom was well presented a great point of difference
Scenic attractions Foot path to accom from dining area needs to be sealed i.e. concrete
Wifi needs to be available in all rooms not just around office
TV in all rooms
Lights above all beds
No power point beside beds, meals could be bigger, drinks very expensive

- Smilja (10/5): - Super location, lots of space,
Very charming transformation of old carriges There was no bush breakfast due to broken refrigerated car. The replacement breakfast not very good

- Blair (7/5): -
- Laura (7/5): - Unique experience. Arrived late, but was accommodated. Would have liked to spend more time here, but just a quick pass through. Would come back.
- June (8/5): It’s our 2nd visit and it’s still a magic place. - Tour of caves were great. Guide was very knowledgeable and bush breakfast was lovely. Complete with the notorious kookaburra swooping down to steal the sausage from an unsuspecting tourist. Shame we had to evacuate the 2nd afternoon because of nearby fires. Mt Surprise catered to a situation that was necessary and safe, very well done to both Undara and Mt Surprise Staff. All good.
- Catherine (9/5): Fantastic place to stay to see the wildlife and explore the lava caves. - Fantastic location with so much wildlife. Great tours available to explore the lava caves.Stayed in the pioneer cabins which provided extra comfort and lovely verandah to sit and watch the birds. Super swimming pool to cool down in the heat of the day. It is a long journey to get to Undara but was worth the effort.

- B.M. (7/5): Unieke ervaring. - De omgeving waarin de accommodatie gesitueerd was. De avondwandeling met gids Dean. Niets
- Camille (10/5): It’s a once in a lifetime experience to visit this magic place. Make time to go and visit Undara. - Beautiful location, great food available at the restaurant, and sleeping in a train carriage was fantastic. The tours to the lava tubes and sunset wildlife experience were a highlight. Murray our guide was so knowledgeable and we learnt so much about the area.

- Christina (8/5): -
- karen (10/5): I wish we could have stayed longer - We had a fabulous time, from the lava tube tour, to the railway cottages, dinner and bush breakfast, it was awesome.

- Glen (10/5): - Amazing staff Lack of internet wifi in rooms
- Tanya (10/5): -
- Jacinta (8/5): - Great facilities, plenty of space and lots of amenities Some tents are visibly damaged and no longer in use which did make the place appear run down. However ours was in good condition, comfortable and secure.
- Samantha (9/5): Excellent stay, great food, wonderful two days. - Facilities, the lava tunnel tours, walks and meals were excellent. Nothing to complain about.
- Meinhard (8/5): -
- Russell L (9/5): - Lava Tubes Excellent
Train Station Theme was great
BBQ Breaky must do
- Julie-Anne (8/5): -
- Jlipp (10/5): - Loved sleeping in an old railway carriage, very cool. It was clean, neat and tidy. Contained everything we needed for an overnight stay. Had the best sleep too! Comfy bed and perfect pillows!
- rebecca (10/5): comfy stay overnight in the safari tents, a good hot shower and tasty meal. - We ate dinner at the restaurant. We had a delicious meal after a great tour of the caves.
- Lorena (10/5): If you're in town, don't miss the experience of this stay. - Carriage's bed was super comfortable. Best sleep in all my trip so far. Super clean, and staff is super friendly. Their tours are run by very knowledgeable people, and the bush breakfast is an unmissable experience, ynder the careful watch of kukaburras waiting for you to leave your food unattended (please don't, they're fast). Nothing. It is perfect! I am comibg back
- Shahar (9/5): - Loved the lava tubes tour!
Also good food, nice staff and beautiful location A little expensive but it's the only place around...
- Liz (10/5): -
- Ryan (7/5): -
- rebecca (10/5): Absolutely worth visiting! - We totally enjoyed our 2 day stay at Undara. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly. We had hoped to see a bit more wildlife, however it was a wonderful experience just seeing the Roos, wallaby and snakes.
- Shirley (6/5): - Meals were 5 star. Staff so nice We didn’t realise we had to walk in water up to our knees for the cave tour.
- jane (8/5): - Tubes were amazing. Our guide Murray was great. 2 bedroom cabins would have been much better.
Thought menu could have been less fancy. In beef country we were looking forward to a good steak meal.
- Patty Vazzy (8/5): - Nice accommodation in a remote area, comfortable. Dinner was good value for money. The tour offered was good as well. Wi-Fi was available in the main area. Most staff was good and the outdoors very nice. Bush Breakfast was not great value for money, although the staff was excellent . Probably good for kids as it was set as a pioneer camp with open fires.
- Roger (9/5): -
- K (3/5): Very underwhelming and this was a second go at staying - The pool was nice for a dip and the walk to the bluff It was very old and rundown in the tent department. We went to happy hour and purchased the cheese platter which came out half the size and very average. The backpackers working behind the bar appeared to not like anything you asked for was too much energy.
- Sue (7/5): Awesome local experience - Love the tent campers please just upgrade existing No fire wood
- Louise (9/5): -
- Ross (9/5): -
- Davis (5/5): - Cleanliness and well lit pathways Lack of effort made to keep food theiving and poo dropping kookaburra birds out of dinning area.
Map of walk trails hard to determine starting points at resort end.
- Tim (9/5): A unique stay in Undara National Park. - Great experience staying in the national park. Stayed in one of the rail carriages which was a unique experience. Bush breakfast and lava tube walking tour were both great. Food was delicious (kangaroo steaks). Wifi was non existent in the room. Had to use my device in the dining area.
- Shelley (10/5): The staff were outstanding Kenneth maintained amazing customer service, was attentive and friendly - every place should - The property is amazing - we stayed in the train carriage and it was surprisingly spacious - with nice sitting area, a comfortable bed in good sized space and a good sized bathroom. Every thing about the experience was wonderful.
- Frank (9/5): Fantastisch verblijf in prachtige omgeving - Fantastische omgeving in de outback. Huisje was prima.
- ADELL (9/5): Nope - We did not have a cabin. We had a powered site. Not applicable
- John (8/5): -
- Alex (8/5): Unique experience. - A very comfortable Cabin. Great meal. Excellent tour and other walks. Would highly recomend the experience.
- Angelika (10/5): A great experience in the bush - It was a great experience for us and our family from Germany Thee logs are not the most comfortable seating otherwise is was a fun morning
- JA BINKS (9/5): Great room, incredible tours, beautiful walks. Thankyou. - I made my own breakfast at the camp kitchen. I liked the walks around the accommodation - The Bluff, Atkinson's Lookout, The Swamp Walk.
The Lava tubes/caves were incredible as was our guide. Also met a lovely fellow who was clearing and organising the grounds - lovely chap...sorry, forgotten his name.
My room was spacious, clean and quiet and close to the fabulous eating spot. Bathroom fab too. No kitchenette in the room...just a kettle.
The restaurant was fabulous and food delicious and the eating area was stunning!
Enjoyed all my tours - Boardwalk tour, Wind Tunnel tour and Sunset tour with helpful and enthusiastic guides. Would have loved a microwave but not a problem really.
- Kerrie (10/5): Wonderful stay - Nature setting, railway carriage accomodation and the bush breakfast and restuarant and bar Nil
- Paul Eller (4/5): Leider in die Jahre gekommen... - Schön in der Natur gelegen. Deutlich in die Jahre gekommen. Wirkt teilweise ungepflegt. Massenabfertigung.
- CANDICE (8/5): -
- Romain (7/5): -
- Ralph (8/5): - Love Undara. It was my third visit. The Tunnel Cave tour was excellent. And the food was pretty good. We stayed in a swag this time. They’re getting very tatty and some are in shambles. Very ghetto. Time to replace!!
- Anna (8/5): - Fint och bra boende. Nära till lavatunnlarna och andra vandringsleder. Fina omgivningar. Rent och bekvämt. Bra organiserat. Maten i restaurangen var inte värd priset.
- Simone (9/5): -
- Raine (7/5): It was ok, I would stay again but ensure only double bed and would give the restaurant a miss - Campsite was as expected shower blocks were close and everything easy to walk. There was wildlife in the area. Swag tent Double bed was comfortable. The tour guides were nice. Single beds were terrible hard and uncomfortable. Food in restaurant was not good value the large plate meal - chicken was smaller than the small plate pasta. The chicken and pasta was cooked well enough. Sone of the staff were a little abrasive. The shared kitchen was good but there are no cooking utensils. Restaurant train compartment seating area was not very clean (table itself was cleaned). Inside tents could be cleaned better.
- Garry (4/5): Basic and not as expected - The bed was comfortable. The restaurant was excellent. The tent accommoddation was very basic and the floor needed cleaning. Very dusty. The outdoor sink needs maintenance as the water flow was a trickle.
- Gerdy (9/5): -
- Ann (7/5): Nice spot out in nature, we order the Billy tea breakfast, which was disappointing, didn’t happen outside because of rai - Nice spot
- Ann (10/5): -
- Wayne (8/5): Great accommodation and facilities close to all local attractions. - Great accommodation and facilities close to all local attractions. Price increase during tourist season
- Winifred (9/5): -
- Nina (8/5): - Really awesome carriages! Such a cute set up. Lots of space in the common area to get together with the group in the evening.
- Bronwyn (9/5): We had an amazing stay there were 12 of us travelling together we are cairns locals and try to do something different ea - The atmosphere, the staff, the amazing food The only issue was our kitchen light didn’t work and also our poor kept tripping on the second night
- Thomas (5/5): -
- Joanna (9/5): -
- Hana (8/5): -
- Geoff (9/5): -
- Tim (9/5): -
- Nicosia (10/5): - Great place, beautiful views, great food and service. Bush Breakfast was fun and the sunrises should cost extra, I recommend.
- Joanna C. (9/5): -
- Rosemary (8/5): Beautiful, peaceful oasis in the wilderness. - The location was fabulous, food lovely, staff friendly and helpful. Powerpoints in the tent didnt work so unable to charge phones.
- Carole (8/5): -
- Annette (10/5): - Good walks
Wind tunnel tour
Wonderful dinner at restaurant!!!
- Brian (9/5): Most enjoyable -
- Carole (8/5): Perfect stop to the lava tubes - Well organised and great tour with Ken to the lava tubes Small comment no breakfast possibility except the bush breakfast
- suzanne (9/5): Great place to stay to see the Lava Tubes - Awesome unique accomodation right at the heart of Undara. Train carriage was super cool with comfy bed and good heating. Tour was amazing and staff were good Lack of supplies for purchase. I would like to suggest that the small shop stock things like drinks water snacks ice etc . We couldn’t even get unopened coke for taking with us the next day as they were sold from the bar and the staff opened them upon purchase and small bottles of water were $6 each.
- Martin (10/5): -
- Alan (9/5): It was a great experience to visit the lava tubes and volcanic crater - The funky railway carriage as accommodation and the variety and flexibility
- Sheng-wen (9/5): -
- Martin (6/5): -
- Kirsty (8/5): Great holiday unless you're next to the
share kitchen - The tour, the hikes, the location The campfire breakfast. Everything was overcooked, the cook wasn't generous with servings and didn't like you coming back for seconds. With the price you pay, wasn't worth it.
We booked months in advance but was placed near the share kitchen. Which was a noise disturbance with people cooking and talking loud well past 9pm. Not ideal when your children go to bed at 7pm.
