• Anton (5/5): - Location is close to a great coffee shop in a suburban development. The host started with a complicated description of how to get to the room where it's just indicated on google maps. The description of a "zen retreat" really doesn't make it come true. The noise of the fans was so loud that we needed to flip the fuse to turn off the electricity completely. The room has little light; i wouldn't want to be stuck there with family in the basement of a garage.

The place was very clean, spacious, and very affordable for what you get. It actually exceeded my expectations—there was even laundry available with Tide pods provided, which I don’t recall being listed in the description, so that was a really nice bonus. The bed was very comfortable, and the full kitchen had everything you’d expect in a home, making the stay easy and convenient. The owner was also excellent with communication—very responsive and quick to reply, which made everything smooth from start to finish. I would definitely stay here again. The only small issue was during check-in. We arrived late and it was dark, and I wasn’t aware the key was in a lockbox, so I had some trouble locating it at first. I may have missed the message with instructions, but clearer or more visible directions ahead of time would make the arrival smoother. Thankfully, a neighbour came out and helped direct us.
• Emilia (10/5): Sehr gemütlich! - Sehr gut ausgestattet Küche um selber zu kochen. Es gibt gute Duschutensilien. Die Lage ist sehr schön und ruhig, ohne Auto aber schwer zu erreichen. Waschmaschine und Trockner sind vorhanden und funktionieren einwandfrei. Waschmittel gibt es kostenlos durch die Gastgebenden.

Cozy place with full kitchen and lots of bathroom supplies and kitchen supplies. very comfortable bed. I also loved that we can control the heat directly ourselves Just be aware re: parking if you have a very large vehicle. We were able to park with a large truck, but my husband is excellent at backup parking... I don't think I would have been able to; also, sleeping is better if the bedroom door is closed because of the hum of the perpetual fan in the washroom (very effective fan, but can't be turned off)

• katherine (9/5): - Everything was great, nothing was lacking here. Not knowing the area , I thought it might be a little closer to victoria, but that is my fault for not making myself aware, you definitely need a car . The coach house is lovely tho and had everything we needed.

• Dale (10/5): Just right for a few nights while attending a function at RRU. - We enjoyed having the space and comfort of a self-contained coach house unit. The standard double bed is comfortable. The main living area and kitchen area are very well equipped. Everything is spotless. The host was very friendly and made us feel very welcome. Nothing to dislike. You do need a car as it is in a residential neighbourhood outside of the main downtown area.

Large one bedroom apartment in a separate carriage house environment. Very clean, modern and exceptionally well appointed, with everything and more than you might imagine. I will definitely be staying here again in the future and can happily recommend this as wonderful accommodation for short or long term stays. Also an easy 20-25 minute drive to Victoria. Nothing.
• Stannam (10/5): Beyond expectations - It was located in a quiet neighbourhood, and the rooms were clean and well-kept. The host genuinely went above and beyond in terms of possible needs of any guests. If having downtown Victoria in mind, it might be a good idea to bring your car or rent one. The transit is not ideal to move around this part of the island. However, staying away from the busy city was great. Also I truly enjoyed the restful trails around there (sorry not disadvantages!)

Will definitely be back. Can't think of a thing, other than my husband ( a tv watcher) would have liked cable 😆 didn't bother me at all.

I had to visit Royal Roads University a couple times and the location was perfect. I found the bed too soft, but I know some people like that.

• Tracey (9/5): Relaxing home-away-from-home - What a wonderful little "home away from home!" We enjoyed the quiet and comfortable living room, super-comfy bed, and what a great shower! There was a little seating area outside but we didn't have the chance to enjoy that. Instructions of how to get there and get the key were excellent; no issues whatsoever. Overall it had a very welcoming feel <3 Can't think of anything.
• Martin (9/5): Just what my doctor ordered. - In a very quiet, peaceful neighbourhood. I didn’t want to be near hustle and bustle for a couple of day and Zen Retreat was perfect to de-stress. It’s a few miles to Victoria city centre so, if you want nightlife this won’t be for you. It was spotlessly clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable. Easy access to Hwy 1. Nothing to dislike.

• Clarkson (8/5): Langford Carriage Home - Loved the spaciousness. The kitchen was very well equipped. Good value for a family with kids. The location is a bit remote. A car is definitely needed. It's not for seniors as there are quite a few steps and the bath has no safety bars. The TV is very small but did like Netflix access. The bed chesterfield is not comfortable.
