The rooms were tidy and the overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming. What truly made the experience stand out was the staff. They were friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. They went out of their way to organise tours and activities, making everything simple and stress-free. Their local knowledge was very helpful and ensured I made the most of my time in the area. Overall, it was a pleasant and comfortable stay with excellent service. I would happily recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, welcoming accommodation with helpful staff who genuinely care about their guests. 🌿

• Ruwan (7/5): - The last day when I leave early, I asked to give me takeaway breakfast. The person mentioned that he will give me bread and omlet as takeaway. But when I open the box, there was no omlet. Bread with Jam only. Very poor work. Why didnt he give me a quality meal.

• Mirjam (5/5): Viel Potential.. - Das Bett war bequem, Wasserspender und Wasserkocher waren in der Küche vorhanden. Das Hotel schaut sehr wohnlich aus und hätte viel Potential aber leider.. lässt die Sauberkeit (vor allem im Badezimmer) sehr zu wünschen übrig. Der Boden wurde schon lange nicht mehr gewischt, unsere Socken waren nach kürzester Zeit schwarz an den Sohlen. Die Kommunikation mit dem Personal war sehr schwierig. Wir fragten an der Rezeption nach einem Transport zum Bahnhof für den nächsten Morgen, der wurde uns auch zugesichert. Ein paar Stunden später wurde uns auf erneute Nachfrage plötzlich gesagt, dass wir uns selbst um den Transport kümmern müssten. Generell wirkte das Personal sehr unmotiviert, obwohl wir die einzigen Gäste vor Ort waren.

• Vanesa (9/5): - We were so pleasantly surprised how clean and nice this place is. You even have hot water in there. The staff is very nice and attentive. The breakfast was great. The location was perfect. We would definitely recommend to stay in here. You may hear a bit of noise from the close railway station but it did not effect our sleep at all.

• Nathalie (8/5): Bon rapport qualité prix - Bouilloire et tout ce qu'il faut pour se faire un café à disposition dans la chambre ainsi que bouteille d'eau. Climatisation. Hôtel bien desservi. La proximité de la gare qui génère un peu de bruit la nuit, mais cela ne m'a pas empêché de dormir.

No outside bathrooms if you go early before the check in time. AC was not working properly

Also amenities wise nothing much. no hair dryer ,sealed water,coffee making stuff ..nothing. but then again for the cost its quite good.
• István (7/5): Good - It's close to the railway station and they can arrange a cheaper tutktuk to the station. We found a roach in the bathroom, but that's expected in this zone. It seems like the floor is not washed frequently, but otherwise the room was clean. For breakfast we had not many options, but it was delicious.

It’s a short distance from the train station where the train to Ella departs. Good value for money for a one-night stay. The room doesn’t have a window.

• Marzia (9/5): Superb - The place has a warm, cozy vibe and it is designed with a lot of thoughtfulness and care. Krishen and Ravindru, the housekeepers, were extremely helpful with my requests. I am thankful to them for serving me breakfast each day. Particularly Krishen was very helpful with resolving certain payment issues that had arisen. I wish Krishen and Ravindru the best! The rooms could have more ventilation and a window or two. Sometimes there are mosquitoes, which can be managed by adequate and regular fumigation. But overall, the place was rather clean and well-kempt.

Overall, it was not worth the price, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The young guy who works there is very nice and helped us always when we had a special request Just the fact that it closes too early (9.30) at night, so we were always worried not to be back on time

All the comfort required in a compact space. - We particularly liked how kind and helpful Kissan was and who seemed to be running the whole place single handed. He never failed to have a smile and was willing to help with everything, including incompetence on computers! An interior room with a kind of skylight window but no outside view windows. The rooms are on the backside of the building but when you want to go anywhere on foot it's an extremely busy, polluted road. Even if you get in a tuk tuk you are mostly sitting in gridlock traffic.

• Nils (8/5): Nice quick stop - The hotel is good for a short stay in Kandy before the long train ride to Ella. Our room was well equipped and clean. It also had a balcony, but we did not use it a lot. The staff was really friendly and helpful. It was a bit noisy, since the place is located at a busy road. But with ear plugs it is also ok. A hairdryer would also be nice to have in the bathroom. The breakfast was a bit boring, since it was only toast, omlette and bananas. Nevertheless the omlette was well done.

• Jean (5/5): Passable - Les personnel est une seule personne, Krisha, who does everything, reception, cooking breakfast, cleaning rooms. He does a really good job. My room de luxe had no windows, no fridge and bad wifi in the room. Location is not convenient.
• Samia (10/5): Clean, comfortable, and ideally situated in Kandy. - Hot water, effective AC, and very friendly staff – they even let me check in a second time for a couple of hours so that I could use the room and shower after a visit to a village on a particularly rainy and muddy day. The rooms are very extraordinarily beautiful. I would definitely definitely recommend staying here for a relaxing stay. I like everything about this place.
• Kit (7/5): That’s simply a room you need in Kandy city centre - Staff is actually very nice, and he responds very quickly through WhatsApp. He makes sure you have breakfast at your designated time. He also makes sure you are back and knows when you leave. City Nest Inn is in good location, near railway station, and along the road there are restaurants and places to shop. Located on the main road, so it’s easy to catch a bus or Tuk Tuk to and from Kandy city centre. -WiFi is not good, shared with many residents. -Water power is weak. On the second day, there’s no hot water. -No window in the room. -The worker asked for tips at check out. -The gate is locked when everyone is back at night. (somehow safe)

• Am-cr (9/5): Superb - The chap working there was so kind, friendly and helpful, he couldn't do enough for me! The hotel is a 15-20 minute walk down from the bus station. The room had a kettle, tea cups, and tea bags available, and the shower was so lovely and hot! It was a windowless room, and I wouldn't necessarily stay there for a longer period of time, but it was the idea hotel to crash at after a full day of travelling!

No fridge or kettle although we were given tea, coffee and cups, but access to communal kitchen. They lock everyone in at night with a padlock

• T_abbas (10/5): It was an amazing experience as we stayed there for 3 days. - They had us treated very well. Though we were their 2nd guests. Still management has tried their best to accomodare us in every way possible. I like their cleanliness, exceptional breakfast, hospitality, staff and location. It is just located at the 5 minutes drive from kandy station. We found out the very good food outlets/ restaurants, cafe's shop/supermarket and bakeries. You can find out mosque, church and temple within the vicinity. The staff boy is really amazing. N/A

Good place to spend one night if you want to catch a train to your next destination but not more. Rooms VERY small, with no window, very loud trafic on the street (the hotel's hall is open to street so you hear noise all the time) .
