Guest Reviews
- Jill (9/5): - Location was good. Walking distance from Rabat. A very authentic experience. Easy access from airport.
- Lassaad (7/5): Traditional building in salé Rabat. - Tant yamina was very serviable and sweety. Thanks Yamina. Distance from center of Rabat.
- Evgenii (9/5): One night in riad - It is a very authentic place, you could feel like you are visiting your Moroccan grandma:)
Good homemade breakfast.
Basically you are staying in a riad.
Located on the edge of the old city, you could get there by car without any problems.
About 20 minutes drive from the airport.
The host is speaking French only.
But finally we were good. The shower water flow was weak, but its ok.
Wi-Fi is bad.
- Dru (10/5): Exceptional - Fantastic Riad, close to dining options and the waterfront
- Vilma (9/5): Fab place! The staff helped us a lot with taxi and directions. Very close to the Marina and easy access to Rabat centre - The welcoming and friendly staff
- Shamsur (5/5): Passable -
- Erik (8/5): Very good - Nice riad house and really helpful owner. We do not speak french or Arabic but she got a translator on the phone to help communicate.
- Dominic (1/5): Bad - Untidy room, even though we came in the evening
Very dirty
Unprofessional staff
Not recommended Everything
- Abdul (8/5): The lady caretaker was excellent at her job let us in late at night and helped with baggage - The old riad It was cold and the Aircon did not heat the room
- Darren (8/5): Quirky but wonderful if you’re looking for something unique. Not for the business traveler or someone in a hurry. - The main room in this converted Riad was as breathtaking as it looks in the photo. The room was a delightful flavor of peculiar and random. Some maintenance issues, but still great and unique for the price. A more experienced traveler in this region confirmed this. The included breakfast was the best included meal I’ve had except in a 5 star hotel! I didn’t like having to leave my key and get let in after going out. I didn’t stay out late, but I was let in promptly.
I didn’t like not being able to eat in the room.
- Adil (10/5): Exceptional - Au top
- Mohamad (7/5): Good - Beautiful hallway and dining area. Nice location with parking. Room was very very small and dirty. Cleaning should be done before arrival of guest.
- Romeo (8/5): Authentic place but that's about it - The authenticity of this place is awesome. We had to wait for 4 hours to check in because the owner forgot about our arrival and was out of town.
Cold in the rooms, cold water.
Only french and arab speaking staff.
Quite poor breakfast, only sweets based, but this is typical for Morocco.
- Francesco (8/5): Wonderful hosekeeper - Súper Host!!
- Saad (10/5): Exceptional - Very hospitable and close to the airport The location isn't the greatest but still conveniently close
- Jean (9/5): Exotic palace in medina. - Exquisite, palace like suite with beautiful outside terraces.
Comfortable beds and lovely bathroom. A little dusty but essentially clean. Somewhat overbearing host though kind and well intentioned who helped us with transportation.
A little far to public transport.
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything in this riad, but what we loved the most was the host who is so kind and welcoming. She made our stay memorable.
- Ariefa (5/5): Not what I expected - Amina is a lovely lady she helped us as much as she could with booking a taxi and providing us with what we needed. The terrace upstairs was quite nice but no views and it was closed the second day. Unfortunately our Arabic isn't upto scratch so it was difficult trying to communicate with the hotel owner. It wasn't very clean there were a load of ants in our room so she gave us ant killer spray. There was a very bad smell everywhere we went, upstairs and downstairs. Kitchen was very disturbing and the place Is very gloomy overall. Location isn't gd either Unfortunately no places to eat nearby.
- Cheek (10/5): Exceptional - I loved the place so much, Mrs Amina she's very nice and helpful 😊 thank you so much. I stayed 5 days.
- Tamandeep (8/5): Amazing stay! -
- Madina (10/5): It’s a good experience over all - It’s a beautiful place, and stuff is very nice and helpful Parking is not close
- Simon (6/5): Pleasant - Air conditioning, good breakfast. No key to get in to the building the owner had to let us in and out. She liked everyone yo be in by 23:00 hrs. Difficult to communicate unless very good French or Arabic.
- Rapinder (7/5): Lovely stay with the lovely lady on Front Desk where nothing was a problem! - The traditional features were amazing. Location was fabulous! Had the whole Riaad to ourselves, it was such a magical experience! The terrace was gorgeous. Need to make use of the gorgeous views as they were there but not seen from the terrace only from a balcony of one of the rooms. Amina was amazing - nothing was a problem, one of the loveliest people I have ever had the pleasure to meet! The beds were slightly hard and there was a funny smell in the rooms. The AC didn’t work in some of the rooms.
- Annika (10/5): Exceptional - I spent 3 nights at this Riad with my husband and our 2 kids (4 and 9). The location was perfect to stay out from the big city, it was calm, easy to reach, perfect for shopping in the Medina, 10 minutes walk from Salé's beach and 20 minutes walk to the tram that goes directly to Rabat.
The breakfast was good. The room big and clean. The terrace was perfect
to spend some time in the evening.
But the main reason to go back would be Amina. She is just lovely and helpful! She washed our clothes and didn't want to be paid because most of the clothes were of our kids, she gave us good advice about where to go. She found for us a shuttle to Casablanca airport and agreed to a very good price for us. She was fun and lovely with the kids.
We really felt home and had the perfect end for our tour in Morocco.
- Raluca (9/5): Superb - The house is very beautiful and clean, the room was comfortable. The location was practical, easy to reach on foot or by car. There was a possibility to park nearby.
- Ahmad (6/5): Pleasant -
- Sabine (10/5): Love this place! - This is a very authentic old riad. Host Amina is great! My room at the roof terrace was wonderful. The location is maybe unexpected, it is completely out of the tourist area, located in the old domestic medina of Salé. If you are into that, this is perfect.
The area is safe and people are very nice (like in all Marocco). With tram (€0,60) or petit taxi you can cheap and easily go to Rabat whenever you want.
Host Amina knows where to go, takes you to a real local hammam if you want, knows nice taxi drivers.
Love this place, I will definitely stay here again. -
- Katarzyna (8/5): Very good - Moroccan climate, large spaces, we were the only guests at that time, so the facility was exclusive. Many thanks to Amina, a wonderful woman who made us feel at home. Tasty breakfast. Location off the beaten track, quiet, in close proximity to the ocean, view from the terrace of the whole city and the ocean. A bit of the way to the public transport you have to go on foot or take a taxi. Internet in the lobby 4/5; in rooms only 1/5
Due to the climate and construction, it is cold in February and you need to dress warmly for bed
- Felipe (4/5): Disappointing - Staff, food Location, cleaning, facilities,
- Raoni (10/5): Great Surprise - Well, let s go step by step.
The location and cost benefit are very good for the SALÉ medina, not to Rabat (if you are by car, that's fine). There is easy parking spot on the street and private one pretty close. Even been inside the medina, the Riad is very close to a main road able for cars and you can park to load and unload.
The place is very beatutiful, nice breakfast, beautiful furniture and decoration. Good to point out that there's no lift and a bit of stairs.
For overall about the phisycal structure would be a 9, but what makes this place deserve a 10 is not a thing, but an angel fallen on Earth called Amina! She is the one who cares about the place and do everything for you. She speaks barelly nothing of english or spanish (speaks arabic and french), but she speaks with her heart. She is a giant. She waited for us until 2 AM to welcome us and open the door, helped us to find a parking and then unload the car under TORRENTIAL rain, and just left because I told her to do so and I could manage that myself to take her out of the rain.
She helped booking guides To Rabat and Salé (recommend both, Magi and Mohammed), cooked, cleaned and ALWAYS caring of us and welcoming with a huge smile and sweetness.
She is definetely one of the best things I wiil take from Salé/Rabat and even Morocco.
If you wanna try, give it a shot and I hope you guys can have the same experience we had.
Ps.: She did not ask us to do a review at Bookings at any time.
We are doing with the same heart she had with us all! Is not that I did not like, but is good to aware that the place has no lift.
For me is fine, but for my Mom with almost 70 yo, after a huge walking day, it's an extra effort.
It's good just to people know before booking.
- Arslaan (10/5): Exceptional - Room and location was perfect. Roof is beautifully set up. Amina was a very good host
Will book again
- Hamza (8/5): Very good -
- Antoine (10/5): Exceptional - Amina was a very kind host to have. She will help you in every way possible. Room was clean and you have a very nice view on the rooftop. No wifi in the room we had.
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional - The lady was very helpful
- Taha (9/5): Superb -
