• Rebecca (9/5): - Ruhige Lage sehr nah an Santa Elena (ca. 7min zu Fuß bis zum Stadtkern). Diverse Touren und Transporte direkt über den Vermieter Emmanuel buchbar. Gemeinschafts-Kühlschrank nutzbar. Leckeres Frühstück, tolles Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis!

• Thelma N (3/5): - La ubicación Nunca nos atendió nadie solo el dia que nos retiramos para cobrar,el dia que llegamos un señor del restaurante nos dio la llave que dijo que lo hacía de favor ,y así fue todo como de favor,el domingo directamente cerrado no había nadie ,a la señora que nos dio el desayuno le pregunte sobre la limpieza y me dijo que ella lo haría,solo cambio las toallas un desastre 0 servicio ,yo había mandado consultas con anterioridad al viaje y nunca me respondió

Sauberes Zimmer mit TV und Warmwasser mit gutem Wasserdruck. Bequemes Bett. Ausreichend Ablagemöglichkeiten im Zimmer und Bad. Kleines Frühstück mit Auswahl zwischen zwei Optionen (Costa-rican/ Continental). Unterkunft liegt nicht direkt im Dorfkern. Allerdings ist dieser in ca 10-15min zu Fuß erreicht.

• amber (8/5): Hostel feel - I liked the host. He hooked me up on a tour right away to the sloth sanctuary and was very friendly. Told me to pay him later and he was kinda hard to track down. Texted me back fast when I asked about the hot water. U have to turn the knob just a tiny bit. Who knew lol. I liked they supplied a fan cuz it was hot af in the rooms. I liked that it had a hostel feel to it. I liked the location too. I ate at taco taco twice and it was right next to the grocery store. I didnt like that people gathered in the middle of all the hallway/ the rooms to socialize. I had to ask them to be quiet after 10 o'clock which is quiet time. I didnt like how hot it was in my room with no breeze. Who ever said u dont need ac in monteverde is very wrong. I didnt like how dirty the place was. It definitely is surface clean but I work as a cleaner and see all the missed grime. Also the bed was ROCK hard. I didnt sleep well there. I wouldn't return but had a good stay over all.

We were helped to make a number of trips with transport from door to door. Emmanuel is a very kind and caring host who is always on call to assist. Would definitely recommend this place! Nothing

• Trudy (7/5): Served our purposes - Clean, large bed, renovated bathroom, breakfast with great coffee and fruit. You have access to a fridge and a coffee tea area Short walk to downtown Santa Elena. Was really hot and the rooms don't have ac or good airflow. They did provide a fan which served 2 purposes. Air and white noise. My own fault as was noted in the listing.
• Meijs (10/5): Great! - Nice and well-priced accommodation, a decent breakfast, and amazing staff. They helped arrange something for my wife’s birthday. It can be a bit noisy since the walls are thin, but both guests and staff make sure it stays quiet after a certain time.

Eau chaude avec une bonne pression d’eau Gérant accueillant ! Un peu petit pour deux valises. L’eau de la douche coule fort en dehors donc le sol reste mouillé.

• Suzette L (7/5): Good clean room and helpful staff. - Emmanuel was very helpful in setting up our transfer and our tour. There is a quiet time starting at 10:00 and some people needed to be reminded of that. There is no air conditioning so the window must be kept open which means we head all of the partying outside our room.

La habitación es lo más "europeo" que he visto en todo Costa Rica. Todo bastante bien. El restaurante de su hermana, donde se desayuna y al lado del hotel es, como todo el pueblo, algo caro. Pero muy buen servicio y productos.

• Matthias (9/5): Ideale Unterkunft für einen Aufenthalt in Monteverde - Die Unterkunft verfügt über recht große Zimmer mit genügend Abstellflächen. Alles war sauber. Emmanuel ist ein super Gastgeber und hat uns eine exzellente Kaffeetour empfohlen und diese für uns reserviert. Auch ansonsten steht er mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Das Frühstück gibt es im Restaurant nebenan und war herausragend. Es kann zwischen einem internationalen oder einem Costa-ricanischen Frühstück gewählt werden. Einziges Manko war, dass die Matratze für unseren Geschmack etwas zu hart war.

• Micaela (10/5): Excelente - Lo que más nos gustó fue la amabilidad del dueño, siempre muy dispuesto a darnos cualquier tipo de información y súper amable. El desayuno muy rico y completo, las habitaciones muy bien equipadas, acogedoras y limpias. Estuvimos de paso por 2 noches y nos fuimos muy contentos!

Super freundlich Gastgeber! Eher ringhörig, Nachbarsunde hört man teilweise bellen. Wenn man einen guten Schlaf hat und z.B. nur 1-2 Nächte bleiben will ist es ideal.

• Lara (9/5): Clean, cosy B&B in good location and excellent value for money - We enjoyed our stay at this cosy, charming B&B. The room was clean and comfortable and also had a fan which proved to be very helpful. There was also comfy seating to chill out in outside the rooms as well as a communal area where you could make free tea and coffee. The B&B is located in a quiet, residential area but is only a 10 minute walk from the centre of Monteverde. Breakfast was tasty with fruit and a continental or Costa Rican hot breakfast option. There is also a restaurant on-site which was good for dinner. Emmanuel and Hector were very friendly and helpful. All in all we enjoyed our stay here at this chilled out B&B and which proved to be fantastic value for money.

• Stefanie (9/5): Preis-Leistung super - Der Besitzer ist super hilfsbereit und sympathisch. Unser Zimmer war zweckmäßig eingerichtet, alles sauber. Man darf sich (kostenlos) Kaffee oder Tee kochen. Das Frühstück war auch super. Mehr Sitzmöglichkeiten außerhalb des Zimmers wären super.

Nice to have the restaurant next door which offers delicious food at affordable prices and also serves a tasty breakfast. Pura Vida at it's best 👌

• Maria-Venetia (8/5): Great little hotel near the center of Santa Elena - This is a cute hotel ran by friendly people. The room is good sized and has a table and also a foldable luggage rack (you'd be surprised how many more expensive hotels in Costa Rica have zero space for putting your suitcases!) as well as two bedside tables with lamps (another absolute necessity for me, that most hotels forget to put in their rooms!). Bathroom is clean and modern, with hot water and there was parking at the hotel (or in the street just outside). Finally the breakfast is at the sister restaurant next door and includes a few options. It's 10 min walk from the center of Santa Elena, but keep in mind there's a lot of uphills involved (especially if you venture towards the little mall, Centro Comercial Monteverde, where there are supermarkets and some good restaurants - don't miss the "hidden" Natu speakeasy for great inventive cocktails and food).

• Daniela (9/5): Super als Ausgangspunkt für Unternehmungen in Monteverde - Sehr netter Besitzer und nettes Personal, hat uns bei Fragen immer gleich weitergeholfen. Zimmer und auch Außenbereich gemütlich. Kühlschrank und Tee/Kaffeeküche stehen bereit, Bad hat uns gut gefallen, Dusche hat sehr gut funktioniert. Der Ortskern ist zu Fuß schnell zu erreichen (10 Minuten) Das Bett ist etwas hart

• Torsten (8/5): - The location is quite good an you can easilty walk to the town center. And it was relatively quiet. Breakfast was also good, perhaps the portion size especially of the fruits could have been a little larger. Perhaps due to the location in the rain forrest area with much precipitation in particular in the bathroom it smelled a bit musty. Parking on the property is somewhat limited, or only possible on the street.
• Chiyo (9/5): Cosy family run B&B - The cook Cathey cooked well. The property provided an informative map. The bathroom was clean and the shower provided perfectly hot water. They provided free coffee and tea. The bathroom light switch came with a very noisy fan. At night, I used the bathroom without a light so as not to wake up my partner. The room did not have a closet.
