- Helen (8/5): Lovely spot to explore Swanage from. Quiet, safe and clean, and very accommodating host. Thank you Kate! - It was a lovely tucked away, quiet spot in a good location. It felt safe it was spotlessly clean and very comfortable and there was also enough space to park outside the house. Kate was very helpful and responsive
- JasonHammond (10/5): Great place to stay in Swanage. - Beautiful room with facilities to make breakfast (toaster, cafetiere, bowls, kettle, fridge). Nice outside space to sit. The room didn't get much sun so was a bit dark and chilly in the morning.
- Beverley (9/5): -

- Jase K. (10/5): A lovely place to stsy - A lovely spacious, well equipped and private room, which was centrally located near the station.
Plenty of parking was available in a very quite area.
The facilities were excellent with a comfortable bed, and attention to detail rarely found in most rooms.
The fridge with milk was a bonus, ground coffee and percolator was a real surprise.
I would definitely, stay here again. Having to leave so soon.
- Kirstine (10/5): Lovely accommodation in Swanage - Very clean, very comfortable and well located, just a 10 minute walk into Swanage.
- Michael (8/5): Very comfortable stay , location good far for Swanage Blues Festival events . Exceeded expectations - Comfortable bed , Tea/coffee, milk in fridge , use of cafetierre if needed . It would’ve been nice to know there is a toaster in room !
Easy access My partner said she found the loo paper very thin!

- Ines (10/5): Lovely Weekend Stay in Swanage - I stayed here for a weekend while visiting friends in Swanage, and it was the perfect base. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a short break. The location made it easy to catch up with friends in town, and it was only a short drive (or a beautiful walk) to Studland Beach, which was a real highlight of the trip.
The hosts were welcoming and helpful, and the check-in process was simple. I especially appreciated the quiet surroundings in the evening after busy days out. Great value for money and I’d happily stay again next time I’m in Swanage.
- Phil Hemsley (9/5): great place to stay for our 3 night break -
- emil n (10/5): excellent - Good vibe, comfortable matrass, nice bathroom, very welcome milk and coffee left in the fridge. No complain
- Stuart (10/5): -

- Janet (9/5): -
- Danny (10/5): - Hands down best room we have stayed in, so clean lovely and cool and very spacious, about 15 mins walk to the town, Nothing not to like
- Barron (8/5): We needed accommodation for two nights to enable us to see some friends who were staying on a nearby camping site. We on - Very clean, and every amenity imaginable. It was ideal for a short stay that we had
- Eliška (10/5): Beautiful apartment with excellent facilities - Beautiful apartment with excellent facilities, and outdoor seating, everything available. Great and seamless communication with the owner. Just a short walk from the city center, free parking in front of the house.
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Ant, (8/5): It was okay for two nights. - Location very good. Clean. Bed very comfortable. Nice to have milk in the fridge. The room does not get the sun at all so it felt cold and a little damp (June) on arrival. There wasn't a full length mirror to use.
- Armstrong (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Michaela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barbara (10/5): A perfect bolthole 😊 - Everything you could need.
Perfect for our weekend in Swanage visiting friends.
Kate was delightful - nothing was too much trouble.
- Alan (8/5): Very good -
- Lucy (10/5): Lovely short stay, close to town. - Lovely room, attached to the house with own own access. Easy to check in. Sort walk to the town centre, easy to park on the road. Lovely little touches in the room such as fresh milk and coffee facilities. Bed was also nice and comfy. Nothing!
- Derek (10/5): Excellent accommodation, better than expected, will definitely return again - Smart modern, very comfortable bed, every thing you could need and more for a hotel like accommodation, if your expected a self catering accommodation, this is not for you, but if you just need a small drinks fridge, kettle with tea coffee, sugar and milk, a modern shower room, and plenty of storage for your clothes, this is for you. Always had a space to park on the side of the road out the front of the accommodation. I’ve stayed in hotel rooms that are nowhere near as good as Kate’s place. Highly recommend.
- Isla (8/5): Comfy, good, nice - Bed was comfy and a cosy enviroment N/A could have done with a microwave and places to cook however that was not to do with the property
- Erin (9/5): Superb - Nice room and bathroom with all basic amenities included. Very clean and comfortable. Easy to access with parking.
- Vivien (9/5): Comfortable and convenient location for a short break in Swanage - Perfect for a short stay. Lovely bedroom and bathroom. High quality furnishing, fittings and kitchenware. Great to have the flexibilty of being able to make breakfast and simple light meals. Free on street parking was available outside the property.
- Colin (10/5): Excellent stay in a lovely location. Clean and comfortable - Clean comfortable, ideal location .loved the little extras that were there eg tea coffee , milk
- Helen (10/5): Great place to stay , our 3rd visit to Kate’s Place and now our first choice for Swanage! - Conveniently located a short walk from town. Can always park outside the property. Very clean and modern facilities with thoughtful additions like milk in the mini fridge, tea and coffee and enough cutlery , plates bowls and glasses for 2 . Nothing!
- Lawes (10/5): Exceptional - Quality accommodation - very modern and clean. Very comfortable bed. Heating was great and plenty of hot water in the shower room. We appreciated the fridge, toaster and kettle which meant we could have hot drinks and a simple breakfast in our very comfortable room. Great location - close to the centre of Swanage and very quiet and relaxing. Easy to park on the street right outside the property. Can't think of anything - it was great.
- Colin (8/5): Very good -
- Tracey (9/5): Lovely self-contained room with en-suitea. In a good location for centre and beach with on road parking outside. Excelle - As described but also spotlessly clean and with a few lovely extras such as fresh milk, tea and coffee. Great location and easy self-check in. Nothing - it was perfect for us.
- Keith (9/5): Saw and photographed some very nice trains. Slept very well between. - For my purpose (a rail photography trip) this was an ideal booking. Happy to book on a bed only basis as I had 06:30 start. The room was a lot better equipped than expected - kettle, coffee, fridge, milk etc supplied and even the offer of a dishwasher fairy. It was very quiet and street parking close and free. Private access convenient. Ten minutes or less to station. Friendly host. I have an arthritic neck and the armchair was too low a back but this is hardly a fair criticism. Certainly no other complaints.
- Jolyon (10/5): Perfect Stay - Super flexible with a special request.
- David (10/5): Cute Charing and lovely place to stay. - The property was amazing and so homely you couldn’t have asked for better place to stay. Classic steam trains passing outside the window was amazing. We arrived later in the evening and was easy to get in.
Will definitely consider returning when in the area.
- Christina (9/5): I’m arrest for what we needed great location, great facilities just what we needed - Great location for us as it was close to family l. It was very clean and they were very amenable to us extending out check out
- Monica (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): Wish I could have stayed longer! - Impeccably clean and comfortable. A great location with services such as CoOp and bus/train station within a few minutes walking distance, as is the seafront. Very central by car or public transport to all of the amazing surrounding attractions. I definitely recommend catching the bus and chain ferry to Bournemouth for the day 😎 and Corfe Castle £4 return!! After a busy day sightseeing it was so good to get back to the comfort of a hot shower, cup of tea and a very cosy bed! N/A
- Amanda (9/5): Superb - A great space to stay for visiting Swanage. Brilliant hosts. Highly recommend.
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and comfortable.
Very easy to find, good access
- Adrian1145 (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (10/5): A excellent property which has been furnished with great love and care and attention to detail - Nothing
- Beverley (9/5): Superb -
- Alan (9/5): A very comfortable stay. - Very clean and tidy, ensuite room with access to courtyard seating.

- Louise (10/5): Perfect for a weekend stay - A lovely comfy room with a spacious en suite. Tea, coffee and milk in a fridge provided which is always a welcome bonus. Lovely host and perfect location close to the town centre.
- Paula (9/5): We’ll stay again if we’re in the area and the room’s free. - Cute en-suite bedroom with on-street parking. We were scuba diving over the weekend so we only wanted somewhere warm, clean, dry and comfortable to wash and stay for a few nights. Kate’s Place hit the spot. We do like the washing up bowl idea and the ground coffee available! :)
- Oliver (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (9/5): An enjoyable stay in a lovely quiet and private place. - Kate’s place was comfortable and clean with everything you needed on hand. There is plenty of space to store your belongings and thoughtful touches made for an enjoyable stay.
We enjoyed seeing the steam train going past and it is an easy level walk into town.
- Kim (10/5): Lovely room, clean with everything you need. Would recommend. - Everything. Good location, very clean, easy free parking, good facilities, WIFI, comfortable, even a washing up service. Fantastic. Can’t think of anything
- Sharon (9/5): A very enjoyable couple of days spent at Kates place. Personal touches were much appreciated, tea making facilities supp - Very clean and comfortable. Close to the beach and town.
- Roy (10/5): An exceptionally lovely property. Wonderful - Beautiful, lights and airy. everything provided that you would need for your stay and more. Kates’s place even has an outside seating area. There is plenty of parking on the road outside. With only 15 minutes walk into Swanage ( not speed walking ). We can’t wait to come again. There was no faults
- Mike (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gabriela (9/5): Go to Kate's place - The room and bathroom very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Comfy bed. Quiet place no noise from street. Walking distance of 15 min to the main beach. No problems with parking.
- Robin (10/5): Really great place for a few days in Swanage - Lovely spacious ensuite room with private picnic table (with fairy lights over) and chairs just outside. All we needed for a warm summers weekend in Swanage. Easy and quiet 15 min walk to the harbour and sea front.
So all good! Would definitely stay again 😁 Quite a few room perfume infusers dotted around and we don't really like the odours from these.
But nothing else!
- Noelle (9/5): Superb - Very well situated, nicely decorated and comfortable.
- Stuart (10/5): beautifully furnished and decorated great location everything you need - Very stylish decor and Kate had thought of everything that we could possibly need for our stay. Nothing
- June (10/5): Good location, clean comfy what's not to like - Accomodation was clean bright and comfortable with a few lovely touches making it homely.
Nice area outside to sit and eat a croissant with coffee made with lovely ground coffee supplied. Not the croissant.
Comfy bed nice en suite.
Once we parked up outside we didn't use our car again just walked and caught the breezer bus to Studland and Bournemouth. Only criticism is the bathroom door handle you catch your hand when shutting it inside.
- Graham (10/5): Spotlessly clean and perfectly located. - It was a room only bookings and the room's facilities were spot on. that it was only a 2 night stay
- Simon (9/5): Superb -
- Idhaya (10/5): An excellent hospitable place :) - It was a pleasant stay at Kate's place. The place was very clean, comfortable and well equipped with all the necessary things including grounded coffee and felt very welcoming. It's in a quiet and peaceful environment and very close to the center.
- Emma (8/5): Very good -
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Comfortable, clean and quiet.
- Ross (9/5): Superb - This was a room only booking so there was no breakfast.
We liked the quiet location and closeness to the town centre and beach.
The room was tastefully decorated, as was the en suite, with all available space put to good use without being overly cluttered.
The bed was firm and comfortable., not to my wife's taste but it suited me just fine, including the nice plump pillows!
I should also mention that Kate's communication was excellent! A good shower each morning is important for me as it sets me up for the day, however , there was a fault with the shower thermostat which meant it was pumping scalding hot water.
Unfortunately, and understandably, it wasn't possible to have it fixed at such short notice so a good shower in the morning was out!
There was no window in the room so no ventilation. Although it didn't bother me initially, I woke up during the night gasping for fresh air!
The room is ground floor with the entrance tucked away via narrow French windows.
I got the impression that they could be left slightly open while secured by a cable lock system but as it was extremely cold , this was out of the question, not to mention what may decide to pay a visit during the night!
- Alex (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): superb all good - fresh and clean and well thought out!
- Haley (10/5): Perfect stay - Kates place was extremely clean and well presented. The room smelled fresh and there was alot of attention to detail. The decor is stunning and alot of thought has been put in to every little detail to make the room perfect and comfortable. There was also a lights over the table and chairs outside in the patio area so that you can sit outside and eat if you wanted too. They had a fridge, TV, hairdryer, cups, plates, glasses, mini fridge, hairdryer, kettles, and loads loads more items that you would need and want. Kate was very responsive to messages too. The pillows wernt to my liking but that's just personal preference, my partner loved the pillows. Other than that, I loved everything about kates place and couldn't fault it.
