• Vincenzo (10/5): Rapport qualité prix au TOP ! - (Cylistes) Cirilo, l’hôte, est très accueillant et disponible. Nous avons pu laisser nos vélos dans la court privé (partagée avec d’autres appartements). La chambre était propre est accueillant. Seul bémol : les fenêtres donnent sur la court intérieure où donnent les autres chambres et la salle à manger. Il y a toujours des herbes à disposition pour une tisane. La terrasse avec cuisine à une vue magnifique et nous avons pu en profiter pour cuisiner nos déjeuners. La cuisine est bien équipée. Localisation au top. Rapport qualité prix imbattable. Pas de fenêtres donnant sur l’extérieur. La salle de bain n’a pas d’aération.
• Pieter (10/5): - De kamer en badkamer waren heel schoon en zeker voldoende ruim. Gastheer Cirilo was enorm attent en heel behulpzaam. De laundry service was uitstekend. Dezelfde avond hadden we onze propere kleren al terug. Dakterras is heel gezellig om te zitten. De keuken en vooral de koelkast waren aan de kleine kant. Wel zeker werkbaar voor een eenvoudige maaltijd!

The room was really clean and comfortable - definitely the cleanest room we've had in a hostel for a long time! Freely available tea/hot water and the lovely rooftop terrace were a bonus. Comfortable bed. Highly recommend staying here. Great location too - a quick and easy walk to the main square etc, but nice and quiet at night. Nothing!

• Carmen Lidia (8/5): Buena ubicación - Está ubicado muy cerca del centro y la habitación es amplia y cómoda, estaba todo limpio. La bañera está colocada de una manera que se hace muy dificil acceder y salir de ella. Incluso peligroso por los resbalones. Tiene una gran ventana pero da a un pátio interior por lo que faltaba ventilación.

The room was great and clean, and the welcome was awesome ; I arrived at 6 am and they gave me my room, and I also had the opportunity to let my bag in the hostel during the day when I had a night bus. They even gifted me the breakfast ! Finally, the hostel is very well located, near to the plaza de armas, el monasterio de Santa Catalina, museos... (10 minutes walking). I only stayed one night but I felt very good in this hostel, thank you !!

Das Zimmer war sehr dunkel und zudem sehr hellhörig. Fenster konnte nicht 100% geschlossen werden, weswegen es in der Nacht sehr kalt war.

• Juliane (7/5): Gutes, günstiges Hotel in toller Lage - Die Unterkunft liegt sehr gut im Zentrum von Arequipa und viele Sehenswürdigkeiten können zu Fuß gut erreicht werden. Wir konnten bei unserer Ankunft um 11 Uhr morgens direkt das Zimmer beziehen. Das Zimmer war sauber und das Bad klein, aber ausreichend und sauber. Das Frühstück war für den Preis auch gut. Während eines Ausflugs und am Tag unserer Abreise konnten wir unser Gepäck in der Unterkunft lassen. Die Gastgeberin war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war zum Frühstücksraum gelegen und ziemlich hellhörig. Schon früh morgens hörten wir laute Geräusche von einem Fernseher, was unseren Schlaf störte. Das Zimmer roch etwas muffig, was aber durch Lüften weniger wurde. Es gab nur eine Nachttischlampe, die aber nicht genutzt werden konnte, da die Steckdose zu weit vom Nachttisch entfernt war.

Hot shower with good water pressure. Unbeatable price. Probably the fact that the only window in the room overlooks a common area and, therefore, you are obliged to keep the curtains shut all the time. Sound isolation could be better.

Además de ser muy comprensibles guardándonos nuestras cosas horas después del check out. También nos prestaron accesorios que necesitaba pero que no había llevado en mi viaje, totalmente recomendado! Ademas de estar muy cerca al centro de Arequipa.

• Kathleen (7/5): A solid, basic place to stay with great tea. - I loved the fresh herbal tea provided. This was a nice added touch. The room was big enough, bed comfortable and the shower was hot. Some nice views at the top. Plugs by the bed. It was difficult to enter the property. Even though I was in communication about my exact arrival. I stood outside for 10 minutes and went to the restaurant across the street to wait. I was tired from traveling so this wasn’t the best first impression. The staff was otherwise friendly and helpful. It is a bit noisy from other guests moving around and talking.

• Anna (9/5): Beau séjour à Arequipa - Nous avons passé un super séjour à Marlon's House Arequipa grâce à la gentillesse et professionnalisme de notre hôte ! Notre hôte a été très arrangeante, nous donnant une chambre malgré notre arrivée dans la nuit et en dehors des heures de check-in (4:30 matin). Nous avions également prévu un trek de 2 jours au milieu de notre sejour à Marlon's House et avons pu laisser nos bagages à l'hôtel. La chambre était parfaite, très propre, dans une rue calme du centre d'Arequipa, à moins de 10 min à pied de la plaza de Armas. Nous recommandons vivement Marlon's House ! Rien, tout était parfait.
• Sarah (6/5): - Wir kamen um 5 Uhr morgens an und konnten direkt in unser Zimmer. Es gab kein Fenster im Zimmer und eine Glastüre in den Vorraum, daher war es Abends sehr hell und laut im Zimmer. Die Küche wurde uns leider nicht gezeigt, wir wissen nicht ob es eine gibt für Gäste. Das Personal spricht leider kein Englisch ist aber sehr freundlich. Wäscheservice wird per Hand durchgeführt und dennoch hatten wir weiße Flecken auf der Kleidung, nicht sehr empfehlenswert hier.

Our room had a strange strong smell of eggs.We slept through it one night and in the morning we woke up with headaches.It was very unpleasant.Luckily the staff were able to change us to another room so we were happy.I would happily stay again aslong as my room doesnt smell like eggs. Also the shower in the bathroom was positioned in a way so the water would go onto the bathroom floor instead of in the shower.This was pretty annoying as the floor got pretty wet.A bathmat would have been great.

They were extremely nice and accommodating and let us store our bags for free for the 3 days we took to do the Colca Canyon trek. Great terrace on top that we could use to eat our own meals. This hostel was bar far the nicest, most comfortable welcoming clean comfy hostel that we have been in to date ( travelling for 3 months) it's like they have thought of everything. Like a shelf in the bathroom, towel hooks, a cupboard, table and chairs in the room. Tea and coffee on hand all day ( no milk though lol, I'm your average tea with milk kinda person). The kitchen was super cute and tiny, and not to be taken for granted. This is in their personal space but you are allowed to use. The rooftop had fab view. A settee on the landing, so comfy. Marlon and his staff bend over backwards to be so helpful. Our room even had a bath..just saying. A couple of the other rooms may appear a little dark, but don't be put off. So so comfy. Very sorry to leave after 6 days. Still, we went Marlons place in Puno, and are as equally happy. Not a criticism, just a note. Don't use the iron downstairs.. I had my own little firework show. Whoops.
• Olaf (8/5): Very good - Good location, just a short walk to plaza des Armas. Our room had a window to the breakfast room, but it was still very quiet during our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

• Narendran (1/5): Never book this place. Staff is toxic and notorious. - NEVER BOOK THIS PLACE. Place is a scam. I booked the place from 19 july 2024 and checked in on the 20th july 2024 and they told me that room is not available and made our family sit outside from morning 5 am till 12 noon.
• Natalia (10/5): Very good accomofation in Arequipa - Best location! It was quiet and clean :) We had very good stay Everything was fine

• Amy (9/5): Super clean, lacks windows to the outside but very comfortable and good price - Super clean, great location When we tried to book we came to the hostel and tried to get attention of the staff but noone answered the doorbell. Our room had a patio door, no window to the outside.

• Chingtang (10/5): Exceptional - Eddie is sooo nice. He offered information we need and recommend some tasty local foods. He made us feel welcome. Also, we got hot water to shower, morning tea/coffee to drink and comfy beds to sleep! The view of rooftop is amazing. None.
• Joost (9/5): Superb - Really clean and modern room. Very kind hostess, great location in a calm street, close to great coffee house (Ristretto coffee bar), bakery and nice little bars.
