- Brandy (8/5): Close to everything or bus and tram stops. The apartment was cozy and the bedding was comfy. - The location and space in the apartment were both great. Could use some instructions to use the wall dryer and heaters. More bedding provided would be a nice touch. The garden could use a clean up. It could be quite lovely.
- fernando (9/5): Por lo demás perfecto - El alojamiento estaba perfecto Le falta algún adaptador de corriente europeo
- Graham Smith. (9/5): Edinburgh Apartment - It is a nice apartment, very quiet, good location. Within walking distance to the city centre. Nil

- Stefano Rimoldi (8/5): - Posizione ottima e ben collegata al centro storico tramite mezzi pubblici. Risposte puntuali dei proprietari. Qualche pecca nei servizi (gas/sciacquone non perfettamente funzionanti)
- Smedius (8/5): -
- Roberto (8/5): Great. - Location The entrance
- enzo (7/5): Poco curato - La zona giorno L incuria totale e la sporcizia del giardino e dell ingresso la mouquette macchiata e quella caldaia in camera da letto
- Susanne (8/5): Cosy apartment located in a wonderful part of Edinburgh. - A cosy and charming apartment located in a wonderful part of Edinburgh. Lovely view to a small garden. A boiler was located in the master bed room, and it went off both mornings just after 7am and woke us up. This was a bit annoying.
- Marlyn (10/5): I would absolutely recommend! It’s a fabulous central location. Staff is extremely responsive and helpful and this flat - The location is fabulous. I loved having a little private space to sit and have coffee. The double bed mattress is very soft which was hard for us. The heating/hot water system is unlike anything we’ve ever dealt with so was temporarily a challenge.
- XUN (7/5): - I don't know how to get the keys. IT is too difficult.
- Cristina (7/5): Buena estancia aunque caro en relación calidad precio -
- Anne (7/5): Overall very comfortable. A few niggles but didn’t too adversely impact our stay. - Location was great. Nice apartment reasonably well equipped. No hot water on arrival
Lack of serving dishes
Coffee machine - could get it to work
No house manual
No info where key box sited
- Ester (8/5): - Limpio, con todo lo necesario y cómodo La ubicación,. Está muy cerca del centro, pero hay mucha pendiente que subir
- Sonya (10/5): Exceptional - Brilliant location central to everywhere Nothing
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Peter (5/5): poor for the cost of stay - it was self catering the outside it very gruby , needs good clean up. the inside is very dated needs refresh , stains on carpets and furniture . Bed was too soft
heating boiler in bedroom very noisy
instructions for heating ok but none for hot water , please update your instructions - water never got hot just luke warm
- Tara (9/5): Nice stay - The apartment was surprisingly bright for being below ground and the back garden was lovely. Everything was relatively well appointed except there was only one kitchen towel provided. We purchased some paper kitchen towels, but would have preferred some other cloth ones or cloth napkins for cleaning up. The neighborhood was very quiet and heard a few steps from upstairs every once in a while, but it was very minimal. Once we figured out to turn on the heater (so that we'd have hot water after the second night of a cold shower) we didn't want to leave it on overnight as it does makes some sounds as it's in the bigger bedroom. I would suggest putting instructions in the house manual to turn the heater on as soon as you arrive if you want to have hot water. We didn't need heat as it's July so we didn't think about turning the heater on initially, but hot water would have been nice earlier in our stay.
- Nicholas (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elif (10/5): Exceptional - The location was great. The apartment was also very well equipped and had a lovely garden. We had a quick response for all our questions.
- Silvia (7/5): Great position - Position is great and the apartment is fully equipped The property needs a general refresh. Considering the cost, we were expecting a better cleaning.
- Olesia (10/5): Exceptional - It’s was amazing time in Edinburgh! Thank you!
- Carmen (8/5): Very good - Lovely apartment, good location. The boiler/radiator/pipes were very noisy when on in the bedroom. And there was a full bucket of cigarette butts outside the back door.
- Ifor (9/5): Very enjoyable - Clean and a nice layout plus garden Nothing
- Neil (7/5): Good small two bed in great position to explore Edinburgh - The position in Edinburgh
Convenience to get to most central places easily Double bed was not good
Outside stairs needed steam cleaning as green and slippy
Also broken glass over stairway
Boiler very noisy
- Colin (10/5): Excellent property and location and the owner was very accommodating when we had to extend our stay due to our flights b - Location, cleanliness and space Everything was perfect
- Xinyi (10/5): Exceptional - nice kitchen and living room. sofas could be made into a bed. kind of frightening to approach at night.
- Barber (6/5): Lovely stay. Needs updating. - Really simple. Whole flat needs repainting. Floors, walls and curtains stained.
- April (7/5): Good - I liked the quiet residential location. Lots of great cafes and a Tesco express nearby. The apartment was quite dark as it was a basement level apartment with windows not capturing a lot of sunlight in the autumn. I was happy we didn't need to be in the apartment too much.
- Catherine (8/5): Very good -
- Siu (8/5): A decent stay in Edinburgh new town - The stay is a typical 18th-century townhouse in New Town Edinburgh, around 10 mins by walking, which does included some slope but manageable even with suitcase, the house is well-decorated with full equipment, we manage to cook ourselves a full dinner on the last night in the house which was very pleasant. The house is on the ground floor with a garden, the entrance is below street level though so it could be a challenge for those with a suitcase, the guest bedroom is where the heater/boiler located so in winter time it can be a bit noisy.
- Claire (7/5): great stay but areas could do with a smarten up, bathroom and carpets a bit shabby. Had a lovely stay though in excellen - excellent location in quiet street. good communication from hosts. east check in and check out. lots of info provided. bathroom could do with a refurb but good shower
- Josephine (8/5): Very good -
- Kenneth (8/5): All good thanks -
- Simpson (8/5): Very good -
- Schrodingersbee (7/5): convenient - great quiet location in the New Town but really convenient for a short walk up to Princes St (for the airport tram) or down to Stockbridge or the Botanical Gdns. Decent standard of decoration. It was nice that there was sugar and oil and salt etc so making food was possible without buying a load of condiments. Also, I recommend the One20 wine cafe around the corner, and Fishers in the City up the road in Thistle St. One bedroom suffered from having the boiler in, with some noise in the night. Coffee machine provided but it takes a type of capsules that weren't available at either of the two shops around the corner - maybe the providers could consider leaving a handful? The flat was a bit dark, being in the basement, but maybe that's a feature rather than a bug? I think the price was high for what you get, but it is possible that this is normal for Edinburgh.
- Lynne (9/5): Ideal flat for our 2 night stay - Fantastic location for getting around Edinburgh
- Jane (8/5): Excellent location, very comfortable, would recommend it - The sofa, comfortable beds, good cooking facilities, excellent location
- Matthias (5/5): Passable - The appartment as such is very nice and has enough room for 3 people easily. Furniture and carpets are beside some normal wear totally OK. The location is great and the small garden in the back really nice. The main bedroom also hosts the thermostat which is really noisy when running and produces heat even only used for hot water in the bedroom. The main bedroom has a rather small bed with a very very soft mattress for our point of view. Booking.con had offered payment at the location which was not happening. We had to deal with it over the weekend thru their portal and got several mails from the host which were only signed by "Calton Living" which is rather unusual for my understanding. It would have been much nicer to respond to a real person with a name. Other than that the host was professional and friendly. This was our 9th stay in Edingburgh during Tattoo over the last 19 years so we have some chances to compare.
- Erich (9/5): Superb - Very nice appartment rekatively close to city center. Nothing really to complain.
- Aliilly (8/5): Great space for a night at the castle - The photos match the comfort of this apartment. Such a lovely space.
Comfy (read as soft) beds, great night's sleep.
The service team dropped me a text earlier in the day to let us know the accommodation was ready for early access. So good to know.
Only a moderate walk from Waverley, in a peaceful side of town. Lots of interesting shops, bars nearby.
We were visiting Edinburgh for a Paul Weller gig at the castle...20/25 min walk...as a gentle stroll. No real concerns as the customer service team were on hand.
- Judith (10/5): Very satisfied, thank you. - Location very good.
- David (5/5): Love location ! Lots to explore! - Good location , could be lovely , pretty garden a bonus!
Kitchen appliances fine.
Could be lovely! Bathroom and bedrooms not retro - just outdated- feels unloved, neglected and shabby! Sad😟
All needs some TLC … a shame!
- Joanna (7/5): We enjoyed our stay. - Location and garden I felt it was very tired and needing a freshen up also, the garden was needing weeded . The steps down to the flat had a lot of weeds.
- Kendall (10/5): Great stay, great communication, amazing living/dining area. - Very homely, great lounge/dining area.
- Anastasios (9/5): Superb -
- Vivienne (9/5): Would definitely book again. Host very helpful when bdc didn't send checkin details in time. - The location was just right for us, only a 10 minute walk to the main attractions of the castle , prince's Street etc and nice and quiet.
We particularly liked having the garden area and the comfy bed. Water pressure was very low but it wasn't a big deal.
- Hannah (8/5): Very good. Often photos on the web do not reflect the product but yours did - N/A N/A
- Julie (8/5): Great Flat. - Clean. Comfy beds, great bed linen and towels. Modern kitchen, well equipped Warm. Great shower. Felt secure. Nice outdoor area Bedside lamp in small bedroom would have been handy
- Emma (10/5): Warmest welcome in New Town - The location is in the wonderful area of New Town, there’s lots of independent shops and bars to explore. There’s a Tesco and Sainsbury’s too for amenities. The property was clean and well presented with everything you need in an apartment. Beautifully decorated with some lovely furniture pieces. The beds were comfy and I had the best nights sleep in along time. The added extra of the garden space makes the apartment a hidden gem! N/A
- Graham (5/5): Passable - Boiler in the main bedroom - so noisy it kept us awake all night!
Smell in the kitchen - like chinese food was being pumped in through the vent!
- Christine (7/5): For all the issues we enjoyed our stay as we loved the property and location as it suits our requirements and suited our - It was in need of some TLC a few improvements would make a lot of difference. we love the location and the character of the property.. we loved having the garden view and the lounge was comfortable and the kitchen adequate. The bedrooms were basic and the carpets were shabby in the hall and bedroom.
The central heating was not working efficiently, and the boiler was noisy in the bedroom and the rug dangerousl in the hall.
- Yvonne (8/5): Loved the location and unit was clean. Would use again - Fabulous location and clean, the shower was superb and flat fittings were lovely everything you could possibly need. Slightly tired and goods belonging to others found under bed. The mattresses too soft for all 3 of us. Dirty hall carpet and mains tap water flow very poor.
- Celia (7/5): lovely apartment but better for warmer temperatures - the location was great and the apartment was very spacious the living room was so cute and the equipment was good as well.
The communication was very friendly and helpful ! The heating was so loud it was impossible to sleep without earplugs. I don’t know if there is any possibility to improve that but we visited in winter and we needed to leave the heating on in the night otherwise we would have been extremely cold.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - Lovely..
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rita (8/5): Very good - N/A See above
- Helen (9/5): Superb - Location was good and accommodation very comfortable. Outdoor space a big bonus
- Jakub (9/5): Superb -
- Isobel (9/5): Enjoyed our short stay - Clean, nice comfy beds, within walking distance of Princess Street. Nothing really, but water pressure low, boiler noisey if on during the night.
- Edgar (10/5): Exceptional - Really lovely, well lit, well appointed flat in a great location. Clean and comfortable. Great place to stay!
- Linda (9/5): One night in Edinburgh - The apartment is warm, clean and well equipped. Communication was good. The water pressure is low, but not sure anything can be done about that. There really wasn't anything to be unhappy about for a one night stay
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vicelgra (10/5): Exceptional - Location. Cozy. To improve the backyard
- Maxine (10/5): Just WOW - The apartment was beautiful and so big! Everything was modern and very clean. The beds were very comfortable with plenty of bedding. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the garden was so cute! The lounge was comfortable, light and airy, with a proper sized television and an enormous sofa to relax on after a hard day of sightseeing and climbing hills. Also I have to mention that the bath is full sized!
We felt very secure, and the street was so quiet. The amenities are good, with a Tesco express around the corner and lots of restaurants within a short distance. The owners kept in touch throughout our stay and I felt that they really cared that we had a good time. Would 100% recommend this company and this apartment. Everything was perfect!
Oh, lack of kittens 😸 😁
