• Lorena (7/5): Great location. Just the cleanliness of the bathroom. - The location is great, very close to 12 apostles and Port Campbell. The cleanliness of the common area. For few days nobody was cleaning and no toilet paper in the bathroom.

• Lauren (5/5): Met our needs or somewhere to stay on our journey. - Community kitchen, not far from 12 apostles, quiet neighborhood . Our door didn’t shut properly and we couldn’t lock it, felt a little on edge. Had to use a door stopper to keep it closed. It’s a tricky one. This was my first time staying in a hostel accommodation and this isn’t reflective of the accomodation itself but rather the types of people you come across in hostels. We were kept up well after 11pm from all the banging, music and loud talking and laughing if other guests which was frustrating. I guess the only improvement there would be adding more insulation or soundproofing given we are all in such close quarters. Or having a strict noise curfew.

• JAEBEOM (10/5): - 하이킹을 좋아한다면 이 숙소에서 머무르고 12사도상에 가기 좋다. 가격도 매우 좋다. 옆길로 조금만 가면 강을 지나가는 길이 나온다. 그 길은 건너면 바로 하이킹 입구가 나온다. 하이킹이 부담스럽다면 어렵다. 주위에 식자료를 파는 매장이 없기에 미리 먹거리를 챙겨야 한다.

• Pack (1/5): Unsecure location. - Location was good. Perfect for us ending our day in and around the 12 apostles. We booked this as our last stop near the 12 apostles. Upon Arrival the front door was not locked. On top of that, a random stranger showed up at the house (hostel type accommodation) and was looking around the property and was very strange, making us and the other two families very uncomfortable. He came into the "secure" area of property and was looking around the fridge and was acting very strange. Needless to say the three families that were there with us all left and stayed somewhere else. I tried to call the owner and it went straight to voicemail. I contacted booking.com to get us our money back and they said the owner of the accommodation refused a refund. Poor on his part IMO. They had no cleaning to do and did not even apologize for the unit not being secure. Do not stay at this place.

No tea towel had to get bath mat from veranda that probably wasn’t clean. house was full of mosquitoes during night. Understand what t was backpackers but we did have the unit that was meant to be fully supplied

• Franck (1/5): - Les modalités de check-in ne nous ont pas été communiquées malgré une demande par la messagerie de Booking quelques heures avant notre arrivée. 2 numéros de téléphone étaient affichés à l'entrée : Impossible des les joindre par téléphone ni par SMS. Nous étions bloqués. Nous avons appelé le service client de Booking qui s'y est repris à 2 fois pour nous apporter la solution. Nous ne pouvons être que insatisfaits de cette situation et déconseillés fortement ce logement. En plus, c'est sale et de nombreux manquements dans le logement (douche qui ne fonctionnait pas correctement, eau froide,.... )
• Lung (7/5): Basic facility with opportunity to meet people from all walks of life. - The fellow patrons from all different parts of the world. That the male shower facility had one functional cubicle during my visit. At one point there was 3 people queueing for the one cubicle.

• Jo (1/5): Hugely overpriced. Don’t stay here if you can possibly avoid it! - Kitchen & lounge area was ok Room and other areas were partly under construction. Showers were useless. Bathroom was not clean. Outdoor chairs were rusty and hazardous. Fire alarm went off at 6.30am and was still going when we left at 8am. No staff. Incredibly over priced.

We expressed our concerns to the owner/manager however communication was poor and we were told not to worry about it despite sharing the room with someone we didn’t know and risking getting back to our room to a door that had been locked with no access inside.

• Yana Plutalova (10/5): Норм хостел за свои деньги - Удивляют отзывы с низким рейтингом. Это бюджетный хостел - чего вы от него ждали за такие деньги? Он немного уставший, но на удивление было довольно чисто. Инструкции по заселению - отличные, все понятно. Расположение - 10 минут езды от смотровой на 12 апостолов. Специально ставлю 10 баллов, чтобы хоть немного сделать адекватным рейтинг. Я проехала 35 стран и была в сотни хостелов, и этот явно заслуживает оценку 8 из 10.
• Jozef (2/5): Avoid - Location was good and close to the 12 apostles. Bed slates were broken so the mattress sunk down which was very uncomfortable. No locks on the showers - both in the male and female bathrooms. All the doors are heavy and bang loudly. Being in room 1, we were next to the shared lounge and terrance so could hear people late into the night.

• Toomas (10/5): Very nice place to arrive in evening through storm and rain! - Manager Rosie was fallen ill. So there was some kind of self service available! Rooms were warm, enough bathrooms etc. Kitchen functioned very good, as TV and everything.

Superó mis expectativas, estuvimos en una habitación con cama doble , muy pequeña pero la cama cómoda y todo estaba limpio, también los baños compartidos Me parece caro para ser un hostel, pero en esa zona todo es caro

• Alan (7/5): Good value for money. Fine if you are not picky. - The location is good. The bathrooms we very dirty. Its a good place for a stay over, when visiting the 12 apostles. In general a great location. The place is not really comfortable, but good value for money.

• Petra (3/5): - It felt really out of the way, and as a dorm type accommodation, it felt a bit unsafe. I felt on edge throughout the stay not knowing who would arrive and if they were okay. The facilities were shared, and to me, again seemed unsecured.

• Brian (6/5): Great for backpackers, but not so good for older people. - As appears to be usual, there was no one staffing the premises, but, ensuring you pushed the buttons with commitment, and turned the lever the right direction,the access code worked as advertised. We booked 2 rooms and only one was u locked, but, you could get in the other through the outside door. Facilities were adequate, although, the bathrooms/showers could use a clean. The hot water appeared adequate and the heating worked well. In general, this would me more than adequate for young backpackers, it was a a little uncomfortable for an older person like myself. I found the mattress in room 2, too hard for my old body, and I eventually moved to the couch in the common room.

• Jillian (3/5): Although it was a budget accommodation, don’t think it was worth the amount we paid. - The cleaner was nice to help us park when all the parking spaces were full. There was an accessible common area. View was pretty good too. Room was poorly cleaned. Found dead spider on floor upon arrival. Room smelled odd with dust everywhere. Shared toilet was super unhygienic with floor mats hung on the sides of the showers. Toilets were not clean. Kids kept running around and making noise which was disturbing and inconsiderate to other guests.

• Claire (4/5): Not ideal. Felt unsafe - The location and hills Our door in our room did not lock and was “locked” with a stick. You could still open it a bit & we felt really unsafe. Bathroom was grubby. Tea mugs had lots of residue of old food in them. Lots of mosquitos in the room.
• Céline (2/5): Very poor quality for money and dirty - Well located, communication from owner was clear and keys and room were easy to find I know it is a backpacker, I don’t mind the simplicity of the facilities and shared areas, but it could be way much cleaner. Bathrooms are not clean and maintained, toilet are dirty (maybe the water apparently but still could be maintained better than that), showers don’t close because wood is rotten and locker don’t stay in. Couch is poorly maintained. We took the family room, our bed sheets has lots of spots including on dark coloured. We wondered if sheet are being washed or changed. Definitely not replaced when too dirty. Dust here and there. Mouse spotted in the kitchen. Room window is blocked by a piece of the mattress wood. I mean, we payed AU$130 for 2, that’s a bit very much for the conditions we slept in. The least we could expect for that price is clean sheets and clean and locked showers even if shared.

• Kittcsi (9/5): Superb - Perfect accommodation for a few nights, close to the Great Ocean Road. Based on the reviews, we were a bit worried about what the place would be like, but it exceeded our expectations. True, it could be a bit cleaner, but it's no "dirtier" than any other hostel. This is not a hotel, and it should be handle like a backpacker house. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was perfectly fine. If we had known that a fully equipped kitchen (pots, bowls, etc.) awaited us, we would have planned to cook as well. The common lounge is huge, the terrace is also, and everything is in place for a relaxing end to the day. Absolutely recommended!

• Paolo (9/5): Nice view best rapport quality price - The property it’s only 5 min by car from the 12 apostle. It’s in the middle of the fields with a beautiful platform at 100m from the habitation to see the sunset ! The room are comfortable and for the price it’s really worth. The shower look a bit used but it’s because of the water who come from a natural source. The host was really friendly and the habitation has a terrace to admire the field and the wallaby if you’re lucky. The shower can maybe be replaced but for the price I don’t expect a jacuzzi so it’s still nice !

• Dianne (6/5): Friendly staff, value for money for a cheap over night stay. - The staff were very friendly and we have our own space The tv was not working The looks on the doors locked from the outside on some of them, so I didn’t really feel secure, there were stains in the carpets and the rooms where under renovations, the blinds where broken to there was no privacy into the room. It was not advertised as a backpackers unless I missed it so this felt very unsafe for a young family.
