Guest Reviews
- JONATHAN (10/5): Very comfortable stay - Perfect stay for a night, beautiful room easy access and good facilities
- Rachael (10/5): - The room was lovely and well thought out.
Everything needed in the room for a short stay and very close to all that Stratford has to offer. Not applicable in any way!
- Jacqueline (9/5): -
- Anthony (10/5): - The Mush Room was perfect for an overnight stay, within easy walking distance of town and the theatre.
The property was immaculately clean and we were provided with a lovely bowl of fruit and ample tea, coffee and milk. Breakfast was excellent.
- Ines Maria (10/5): -
- Andy (7/5): Shame... lovely room and breakfast. - Lovely well appointed room. Nice and clean. Great comms with owner. Lovely hot drink making facilities. Plenty of bottled water. Nice additions in fridge. Slightly too far outside town centre for our needs/ liking
No curtains on windows only blinds so was bathed with sunlight very early on.
Located on a busy road which was noisy due to us having to leave the windows open as It was a very hot day and the room was stifling
We were left a fan which was a life saver as there is no way we could have slept in that room with the temperature being so high
- Dawn (9/5): -
- Stephanie (9/5): - Quirky, comfortable and everything we needed was there. Nothing.
- Lee (10/5): We enjoyed our stay and having a fresh breakfast was awesome before we set off for the day. - Location is great for walking around. Room size is huge. Breakfast was lovely. We didn’t realise that it was in someone’s house. Wasn’t an issue though.
- Natalia (10/5): Gorgeous, comfortable room - The room was absolutely lovely - really comfortable, clean and had everything you could need. Soap and shampoo was provided and smelt wonderful. I felt the room was secure and easy to get into - really helped that parking was provided too. Such a nice touch to have croissants and juice provided in the morning This wasn't technically the fault of the host but the walk home from town at night was a bit scary - it's not in any way a dangerous neighbourhood, very much a quiet suburb, but always living in a city - quiet, dark streets can be a bit unnerving
Needless to say I was absolutely fine and the next night I took an Uber
- Linda (8/5): Fine stay - Parking. Coffee, tea setup, fruit, microfrig with milk, juice and dates. 2 excellent croissants each for breakfast, with juice. Front door was a bit of a challenge, could use better instructions, graphics by the door? Confusing communication about tripping a fuse in the house by running our bathroom fan. Apparently was a caution, not that we had done it.
- SONJA (10/5): Perfect stay in Stratford upon Avon. A million times better than a hotel - Wonderful clean and comfortable home away from home Nothing really, I didn't meet Simon and Natalia but I was only there for a passing visit and they left a lovely breakfast for me
- Skidmore (9/5): cosy mush room - close to town 15 minutes walk good for parking and cosy room apparently there was a back to the shower way to hot
- jenna (10/5): -
- Gary (10/5): Beautiful room. Exceptional stay. - Perfect location. The room is absolutely immaculate, modern and very well furnished. The fit and finish is top boutique style. Everything is of quality. Mini fridge, coffee machine, orange juice, milk. Good selection of teas. We had chocolate dates, they are hand made and delicious. Breakfast was lovely. Hot croissants and pain au chocolate with honey butter and jam. More fruit juice and milk for coffee etc. The wet room is clean and modern.
I cannot fault it! Nothing!
- John (9/5): A great place to stay - Location and parking excellent Continental breakfast was too light.
- Laura (10/5): This is the second time I have stayed her. Highly recommended to anyone who enjoys comfort and coziness and lovely hospi - It was beautifully decorated and local to the town centre. The facilities were amazing and it was spotlessly clean. Nothing
- Ashley (10/5): Stay at the Mushroom - Brilliant room High specification.
Close to town Nothing to note
- Barnden (10/5): Lovely place to stay - Beautifully designed, cosy, clean and convenient. N/a
- Martin (9/5): -
- Mark (10/5): - Everything about it,from walking in to leaving.
The owners were very attentive and helpful. Nothing really couldn't have had a better stay.
- Peter (8/5): -
- Michael (9/5): Pleasant stay. - Good fine for short stays. More space for personal items.
- Alexandra (10/5): -
- Donna (10/5): Super stay - Luxurious stay.
- Nigel (8/5): - The room was lovely and location ideal
- David (9/5): Very comfortable and clean room. Good value for money. - Very nice compact room with ensuite shower. Great provisions from hosts, plenty of bottled water, fruit, milk and juice. Very clean room. Really clear and consistent communication from hosts without having to request it.
- Joanne (9/5): -
- Richard (9/5): Fabulous - perfect location for a theatre break - Getting a quiet, comfortable ensuite room so close to a vibrant town centre has never been so straightforward and great value I cannot think of any undesirable aspect
- Richard (9/5): Great location and value for money. - 15 min stroll to theatre; quiet location with off road parking; comfortable and clean facilities with great coffee and tea making facilities in the spacious room Hard to think of anything we would change.
- David (10/5): Fantastic place to stay. - Great location, beautiful room, lovely breakfast, nice coffee in the room and good parking.
And even gluten free croissants provided for breakfast!
Fantastic stay. Pillows were a little thick for me, but that's personal taste obviously!
- lyn (8/5): - Lovely and comfortable room with good facilities
Great location and parking on site TV was slightly frustrating as we found it difficult to use but not a huge issue.
- Dawn (10/5): Relaxing cosy clean enjoyable place - Cosy and comfortable very clean and everything that you needed was available Got hot at night
- Clare (10/5): - Everything. The room was easy to access. The room itself eas immaculate. It smelt so clean and fresh. It was very well equipped. From the coffee machine and ample water for it to the fresh orange and fresh fruit. I would 100% recommend this accomodation to anyone. There was nothing to dislike
- Andrew (9/5): Quiet and tastefully done - A quiet room with no one next door as such. Tastefully decorated. Walkable to town centre yet on a quiet street. I got the impression the hosts care about giving clients a good experience. I'm a big guy, so a couple of croissants weren't enough for me. There was lots of fruit if you're a fan of it.
- Jo (9/5): Would highly recommend! - Great stay! Lovely breakfast and very comfy bed.
- Malcolm (10/5): Great stay will definitely be back again - Fantastic apartment well furnished with parking and great instructions for the stay. Property was very clean and well appointed.
- Anne-Marie (10/5): Fantastic Experience - Beautifully decorated room with excellent facilities. The extra touch of homemade chocolate filled treats were scrumptious and the added filled fruit bowl was a nice touch! When asked a question, fast response received. Easy check in as well!
- Hannah (9/5): -
- Cathryn (10/5): Will definitely book again, easy walk into town - Lovely room with some great hand-picked features- very individual. The room was warm, inviting and clean, loved the extra touches like homemade treats. Breakfast in a box was fab too - fresh and generous
- Adam (10/5): - A lovely room, felt right at home straight away. Very comfortable bed, a fantastic breakfast, and the location was perfect! Highly recommend and would happily stay again.
- Ruth (10/5): Excellent breakfast and very comfortable stay - Very convenient for our friends house TV could only be watched by subscribing.
- Stephen (10/5): The spacious en-suite bedroom was clean and beautifully decorated with thoughtful touch’s , fresh fruit, and facilities - Tastefully decorated, Furnished and finished to a very high standard .
- Beverley (8/5): Perfect overnight stay for a trip to the theatre. - The refreshments and breakfast were really good. The room was comfortable and our host was very helpful - offering to pick us up after an evening at the theatre if it was raining. The location for getting to the centre of town is excellent. The only slight criticism is that we found the smell of the washing powder/fabric softener used on the bedlinen to be overpowering. Other than that it completely matched our expectations. Wouldn't hesitate to use again.
- Hart (10/5): -
- Simon (10/5): Brilliant from start to finish - Fantastic
- Gordon (8/5): Pleasant place to stay for one night. - Very clean and comfortable place to stay for a one night stay. Would have liked a little more room. It was a 20 min walk into town.
- Umran (9/5): Had a great one-night stay! Everything met my expectations. Would highly recommend! - The continental breakfast was more than adequate and beautifully presented. The location was perfect—just a pleasant 10-minute walk into the heart of Stratford-upon-Avon! I have no negative feedback. My experience met all expectations, and the reviews on Booking.com were spot on, accurately reflecting the property.
- Julie (8/5): Very comfortable and enjoyable. - Easy to walk into Stratford town centre.
Comfortable bed and nicely decorated room. Good quality shower gel etc. Bowl of fresh fruit a nice extra. Would have liked a table rather than a low coffee table, to use for eating breakfast , having coffee etc.
- Bryony (10/5): Lovely room in a nice location! - Loved the room decor and the extras like the mini fridge, the coffee machine and the breakfast box. The stuffed dates were amazing! The only things I could say was the lighting is not amazing in the bedroom if you’re getting ready when it’s dark and you’re trying to put make up on and the room was very warm in the night but that’s a me problem because I have asthma and it sets me off.
- Theodoulou (9/5): - nice to be welcomed with a bowl of fruit, bottles of water. facilities were good and quite spacious bathroom was a little tight.
- Jonathan (10/5): -
- Sue (6/5): -
- Jemma (10/5): -
- Ian (10/5): - Beautiful room just a few minutes walk from the city center.
- Monika (10/5): Bardzo dobre miejsce na nocleg - Wszystko bez zarzutu. Bardzo czysty, gustownie urządzony pokój. Jest wszystko czego potrzeba. Uczynni i przemili właściciele. Dziękujemy i polecamy z pełnym przekonaniem.
- Jean-Paul (10/5): Endroit très accueillant - Très jolie décoration. Quartier résidentiel très calme. Possibilité de se garer devant la maison
- Thomas (10/5): Amazing! Perfect for a short stay - Perfect! Amazing room, great idea to turn a house into a couple of little B&B’s like this. Love the little details to attention. My partner loved the Harry Potter themed box the breakfast was delivered in!
- Poole (10/5): The most gorgeous little place to stay in Stratford - We loved it all! The decor is beautiful and it's finished to such a high standard. The little touches were what made it! Coffee machine, (with decaf pods available too, hooray!) little tiny fridge with homemade snacks inside (dates filled with cashew and peanut butter with a pecan on top... delicious), an electric fan for keeping cool, hair dryer, fruit bowl. They'd really thought of it all to make our stay as comfortable as possible. And the breakfast that is delivered outside your door in a Harry potter themed wooden box in the morning is so lovely, with WARM croissants and pain au chocolates, teeny jars of jams and marmalades and glass bottles of orange juice. We were blown away and would prefer to stay here over a hotel any day. NOTHING
- Rforster (10/5): -
- Victoria (10/5): - The hosts were delightful. Warm, welcoming and helpful.
- lisa (9/5): - A lovely clean and well-appointed room a convenient walking distance from the city centre
- colin (9/5): Did not see ownets but they answered texts quickly and done things I asked. Could not fault property - The room was great and very clean. We had tea, coffee, fridge, toiletries and a continental breakfast
Parking space . Only thing I would have liked was a usb point, but that's a minor thing. We would use this place again no problem. Only a usb point everything else very very good. Bed was comfy.
- Barnden (10/5): Gorgeous room - The Mush-Room is a lovely setting and so thoughtfully set up with lovely touches and a beautifully designed space. It's within easy walking distance of Stratford's main attractions and check in is very efficient. Can't think of anything!
- gracie (10/5): Comfy and cozy & such a lovely night stay with my partner - The breakfast was lovely, the room was so clean and tidy & the bed was amazing!! need to find out where the mattress is from! Nothing
- Neale (10/5): Excellent stay in a location close to everything we needed. - Excellent room and facilities. Very friendly hosts.
- Barbara (10/5): Delightful! - The Mush-Room exceeded our expectations. So much attention to detail, from the little fridge, to the coffee machine, the fruits, the beautifully decorated room. Pictures don't show how really pretty it is! Breakfast was served at our door and was delicious. Wish we had stayed much longer. I thought location was on the outter side of town, but it was so conveniently located in a quiet street within a lovely short walk to town centre and attractions. Thank you so much for making our stay so wonderful!
- Michelle (10/5): Perfection - The Mush-Room is absolutely outstanding, it oozes great decor taste, and the most welcoming atmosphere with attention to detail, Simon & Natalia are the perfect hosts, we had travelled for numerous hours and this room was just perfect for a peaceful rest. The facilities I’d say above & beyond, we were leaving very earlier & even though we advised not to worry about breakfast Natalia provided at 530am ! If you are ever in Stratford Upon Avon this is a unique stay. Absolutely nothing !
- Marleen123 (10/5): Perfect stay - Perfect location, walking distance into town. Beautiful room and everything was clean. Lovely details like the coffee/tea area, little fridge for the milk and orange juice too. Big basket of fruit, extra water was a great touch especially in the hot weather. If we are in the area again, we'll definitely stay here. All was perfect.
Tiny comment, the shower curtain let the water run into the bathroom, maybe adjust slightly.
- Ian (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (8/5): Relaxing and interesrting - Very convenient to tour Stratford and go to the theatre Nothing really
- Jain (10/5): It’s was another home away from the home. - We had a wonderful anniversary stay at this property, room named shroom-room.
It was equipped with every small things from mini fridge to coffee machine. It was very nicely decorated and the host provided Orange Juice and home made dates as a welcome snack nicely placed in the mini fridge.
Breakfast was adequate for quick start of the day. Croissant + Pain Au Chocolate with lots of marmalade option with butter. And host accepted a special request and kept wonderful flowers with message as surprise. Definitely book again on next visit. No, everything was great. The host Natalia was really nice and provided a tour of the house (when we asked for it 🤭) and it was lovely.
- Julian (10/5): Good base for exploring Stratford U Avon - A very nice single room with a good walk in shower. A nice comfy double bed. Breakfast was basic but fresh and well presented. Walking distance to the centre of Stratford U Avon. It could do with a larger table. Parking on the drive can be a bit tight.
- Theresa (10/5): Exceptional - The little personal touches were amazing. The dates were yum! The breakfast left outside our door was a welcome surprise.
- Xin (10/5): Exceptional - The room was so beautifully decorated, very coherent Mushroom theme throughout. Natalia and Simon were extremely responsive when we had questions. The stuffed dates and breakfast each morning were also delicious and such a lovely treat! The house is a walk away from the train station, but quite near to Stratford's main attractions!
- Michael (10/5): Perfect for a short stay. - Beautiful bedroom and bathroom. Plenty of fresh fruit in the room and some tasty homemade treats. Nothing
- Susanne (8/5): Comfortable and a 20 minute walk into town center - The room was easy to get into, well appointed and very clean. The bathroom was a little tight but the natural stone tile gave off a nice spa vibe. On arrival, we found a small fridge with milk, orange juice and a jar of date treats. There was a variety of coffee pods and tea bags, and fresh fruit. We were VERY grateful for the fan. Parking was good with space for 3 cars - 1 for the owners, and 1 for each room. The continental breakfast of croissants with jam and butter was quietly left outside the room before 8am for us to help ourselves, which was considerate. There were plantation shutters instead of curtains, so at this time of year (July) it was extremely light early in the morning. And given that we had the windows and shutter slats open all night to allow airflow because of the heat, it was even brighter at 5am! It would only be an issue if you needed a dark room to help you sleep.
- Camila (9/5): Superb -
- Barry (8/5): We enjoyed our stay but would have liked more choice for breakfast. - We were happy with the location. There was a bus stop nearby to take us to the town centre but it was also walkable.
Our room was comfortable and the owners were friendly and helpful. There was a well stocked fruit bowl to welcome us and tea and coffee makers. There was also a small fridge to keep water and milk. We were not too impressed with the breakfast of a croissant and pain au chocolat left outside the room in a wooden box. Apart from the fruit in the room, there was no other choice.
- Caroline (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable and well appointed room. Very considerate hosts
- Josephine (10/5): Lovely room , thoughtfully executed - Excellent value for money, very friendly and helpful hosts, everything you could possibly need for a short stay. Will definitely stay again for our next RSC visit If I had to change anything it would be to have a bigger towel for the shower but really that isn’t an ice breaker . All lovely
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good -
- Pauline (9/5): Excellent -
- Damon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nicole (10/5): Great location and fabulous accommodation - The location was great- 15 minute walk into town. The room was beautiful and it was really easy to find and having onsite parking was a huge bonus.
Hosts were fabulous. Nothing
- Mark (8/5): Pleasant stay and would stay again - Every aspect of room and comfort Selection at breakfast
- Brett (9/5): Easy stroll to town and comfortable accommodation. - Lovely room. Great attention to detail. Felt a bit special. Slightly overpowering room deodoriser.
- Michael (10/5): Excellent - Excellent provision of drinks and fruit in the room. Nothing
- Victoria (10/5): Fabulous stay - Great host although we never saw them.
Beautiful room, spotlessly clean. Had everything you needed.
Within walking distance of the centre and amenities.
Would definately recomend to others. Just the gravel infront of the property. We was told about this. Most other people wouldn't have an issue with the gravel, but my husband found it difficult to walk on with his disability.
- Nnenna (10/5): Awesome - Had a mini fridge with like fresh OJ and a mini treat it was was amazing Wish breakfast was a bit more but it’s not a big deal
- Margaret (9/5): A relaxing stay with many extra touches making it extra special. A wonderful Stratford location. - We have stayed in the Bloom Room before, so we knew the set up and situation. This is another beautifully decorated room which you can relax in whilst exploring Stratford which is only a short walk away. The extra facilities of coffee machine, a fridge with orange juice and fresh milk, and fresh fruit are such a treat. Breakfast is served to the hall table at the time requested with fresh pastries and extra milk and juice. Breakfast is taken in the room so there is no rush for dressing in the morning but can breakfast at your leisure before leaving time. A beautiful way to start the day, Nothing
- Paula (10/5): Best option to stay - This was the nicest place we stood in the whole trip. The room was beautiful, just like the pictures. It was easy to find, close to the center, 20 min walking.
Parking in the accomodations.
Breakfast was really good, they leave you a trade on front of teh door at 7:15 which was perfect.
Bathroom was good, and with good products (soap, shampoo...)
They gave us some stuffed dates, they shold sell those bon bons. Nothing, I loved the palce.
- Snow (10/5): Exceptional -
- Weining (9/5): Superb -
- Debra (7/5): Good location - Very good location, short, flat walk into town and tourist places. Quiet area. Bright, clean, good-size bedroom. Well-decorated. Friendly host when we met him to help with a query (working in the day but can be contacted if necessary). We weren’t sure if it was a B&B or Air bnb. Lock box to get in so no personal greeting on arrival. The bathroom was clean, good toiletries supplied but it was very small (shower and miniscule sink). The breakfast was left outside the room and eaten at a small table inside the room. There was no choice so that if, like me, you can’t drink orange juice or eat pain au chocolat you have just one croissant. We ended up having to go out to eat more.
- Jane (10/5): Great place to stay. - It was a beautiful room with a really comfortable bed and great little bathroom. We loved the breakfast treats. So lovely. A little bit further out from town that we would have liked.
