- Frank (10/5): - Superb location. Great spacious accommodation. Leaving!!
- Danny (10/5): Great location, spotlessly clean, well equipped, would definitely recommend. - Great location in the middle of town, parking space an added bonus. Clear instructions for arrival and departure. Apartment larger than we expected, spotlessly clean and well equipped. Nothing to dislike

- louise (10/5): - Excellent location and parking. Stunning flat, quirky and very roomy.
- Kristen (9/5): - Fantastic to have a dedicated parking space, and so convenient to walk to RSC.
- Roy (10/5): -
- William (10/5): Perfect - Location & clean Nothing

- Alex (10/5): Great location with free parking. - Location was great, very large flat but still cozy. Free parking just outside the back door was great too. Everything we needed for self catering was supplied in the kitchen, I would highly recommend anyone to book the Hamlets nest for a trip to Stratford-upon-Avon.
- Thomas (9/5): -
- Geoff (10/5): Great place, everything that you need and right in the centre. - The location coud'nt have been better The parking was'nt available on arrival but this is being sorted out by the letting agenets
- Kathleen (10/5): A great apartment ideally located for exploring the historical town. - The apartment is great, it’s quirky with its traditional old oak beams, uneven floors, is spacious and well equipped for a comfortable short or long stay and is ideally located in the center of the historical town of Stratford upon Avon.
It’s just a 5 minute walk to the Royal Shakespeare theatre, close to the river area and nearby bars, restaurants and cafes (although not noisy at all) and is a short stroll away to all the other must see attractions in the area.
Plus, there’s a safe and dedicated free parking space within the service yard located at the back of the apartment. We stayed for three night and never moved the car until the day of leaving.
Great contact with the host (Gemma) who supplied all the necessary information to gain access to the apartment. Nothing to dislike - although a second door key might be useful as it’s a Yale lock and therefore could be easy to accidentally lock yourself out.
- Kelsey (9/5): Amazing place to be for an anniversary. - We’ve been coming to Stratford since we first met, we came for our 9th year anniversary and it was amazing, it felt like we had a home here. It is close to all amenities, attractions and it’s quiet. Nothing we loved it all, wish we could have stayed here longer!
- Paula (10/5): Lovely spot in a great location - Gemma (host) was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable. Great location as was everything else I needed. Really enjoyed my stay and would stay again for sure 😊
- Johnstone (10/5): - Fantastic location, spacious flat!
- Keim-Cheung (9/5): Charming property in an excellent location for a comfortable stay and to base ourselves for visiting in and around Strat - The location is excellent for visiting Stratford and nearby places of interest. Access was straightforward.
The property is well equipped with (almost) everything you need.
The property has character and charm with its uneven walls and floor. Breakfast bar/table was too high for my partner to comfortably sit at as she’s not very tall who didn’t get on with the swivel stools. A standard freestanding table would have been more comfortable to sit at and utilise.
The pillows were a little firm for us.
- Chris (9/5): It was great, what start again - The old style and close to everything Backs on to loading areas for restaurants and shops
- munsur (8/5): -
- William (8/5): With a few tweaks the property the property could be 10 - Central good size apartment The shower was running cold also on the sinks had to boost the heating to get hot water
- Christopher (9/5): -
- Ruth (8/5): Ideal little flat - Perfect location right in the heart of Stratford upon Avon. Had everything we needed and a very comfy bed! The parking was available however other people seem to use the spaces. If you were banking on always being able to use the designated space this would be a problem and did put us off venturing out in the car.
- Regína (10/5): Exceptional - We stayed for a week at Hamlet's Nest and had a fantastic stay. The flat is spacious and bright and we had a fully equipped kitchen and a washing machine, which is very much appreciated when travelling. Everything was up to par and clean. The flat is old, but tastefully decorated and right in the very centre of the beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon by a busy street with bars and restaurants. Supermarkets and Poundland are only 2 minutes away by foot. The entrance to the flat is behind it, where there is also a free parking space. We barely moved the car during our stay as everything is within a walking distance. We were so happy with our stay and give it our best recommendations.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Kathryn (10/5): A lovely stay in a great apartment - Central location. Very clean and well equipped. Nothing
- Angela (7/5): Nice flat just back location let it down. - Very spacious and had everything we needed for our stay. Bed was comfortable with lovely bedding. The back of the property is opposite the back of McDonald’s and other shops and the skips are being emptied at 06-15 which woke me up but not my husband other than that we had a nice stay.
- Karen (9/5): Ideal, really enjoyed our stay here! quirky layout and perfect location - Really lovely big apartment, so quirky with it's old white mishaped walls, and beams.
I took a friend just for a weekend visit, to explore the area, and chose this place for its quiky look and was not dissapointed. I let my friend have the bedroom (which was really spaceous and apparently comfortable) and I slept on one of the 2 sofas in the living room, which was huge and could easily accommodate another 2 people on a sofa bed. Especially as the bedroom has 2 doors thus permiting access to the bathroom without having to pass through the living room.
Liked the layout.
It is perfectly located above a little tea shop in the main centre of it all, but is unfortunate that you dont actually get access from the front, you have to use the back yard walk, and hence a back view of car park, but the front overlooks the lovely historic street and waterways.
Good bright clean kitchen with everything you need.
Great communication with the owners, and very receptive of feedback.
I would definately book here again Shower a bit hit and miss, and no soap in dispencer, but sure that was just an oversight as it is a heavy dispencer so it felt full.
Could do with a shelf in bathroom, as nowhere to put toiletry essentials.
And could have been a bit cleaner, quite few really long hairs in the shower before either of us entered it.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional - Good facilities ?
- Heather (10/5): Loved it - The location was fabulous, the flat was spacious and full of character. There were nice touches everywhere - art and ornaments. We both loved it. Those letting it were good at contacting us to see if all was going well, to give us access instructions and about check out - friendly and helpful. It was nice to have tea and coffee and toiletries in a self-catering accommodation. The sofa bed is a bit lumpy
- Stuart (9/5): Great value, great location l, couldn't have asked for better - Its a very roomy flat with large kitchen, bedrooms and living room. Could easly fit 4 ppl if needed
- Anthony (10/5): Exceptional - Every thing excellent
- Wilson (9/5): Just what we wanted. - Well appointed, charming, centre of town, own parking. Deck was a bit slippy.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional - Just perfect retreat
- Ray (9/5): Excellent location, clean and comfortable, plenty of room. - Excellent location. Spacious. A bit quirky which was nice. Great support from agent. Bathroom needed a bit of maintenance.
- Rob (8/5): Very good -
- Ruth (9/5): Great location , lovely history - Location, location, location. And parking in the centre of town
- Rita (10/5): Perfect for what we wanted - Location is excellent - so close to the restaurants/theatre and parkrun.
Apartment was spacious and very clean and comfortable.
Great that it had parking. You had to be a bit careful on the outdoor steps to the entrance as it could be slippy.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional -
- Beverley (9/5): Lovely place & convenient for everything - location was good with plenty of places to eat just outside in street. Not too much noise from street. Free offroad parking. Lovely & new inside. Very comfortable. Good contact with owners. wooden steps outside to get in were a bit slippy when wet. Care needed walking through both doors going into lounge as very low door height but there are signs & it is a very old property.
- Philippa (9/5): Great property. Perfect location. Good value. - Great location in Old Stratford. Near the RSC, the river, and shops/restaurants.
Free, private parking. Very warm and comfortable.
Well equipped. Nice view from front. These are minor details which would not stop us staying again.
A few more pictures on walls, and more ornaments, would have made it more cosy.
A curtain over the entrance windows and doors (the owners are arranging this, apparently)
Instructions for the t.v. would have been helpful.
- Stuart (3/5): Not at all what we had hoped for sadly! - Excellent location, reasonable bed, heating worked well, spacious apartment. The fact that the key code given was incorrect and only by luck and a helpful lad from the cafe downstairs allowed us to gain entry by calling the cleaner who provided a different code which worked!!!
The Wifi wasn't working apparently, something your company was aware of but we weren’t informed of in info pack sent, resulting in us having to eventually piggyback Wifi from the property next door which was, at best, patchy and consequently the Smart TV worked occasionally for very short periods but mainly not at all (no live TV available.) We were told due to lack of an aerial.
The shower was warm but never got hot and whilst showering kept fluctuating to just about tepid. We have this type of thermostatic shower in our home, this fault is usually an issue to signal the unit needs replacing!
These issues were reported to the stand-in rep! We were told to leave keys in the key safe the following day, we did as requested, as we had theatre tickets for the time arranged. We left the key safe on a memorable number after replacing the key so we would know if someone had been in to check.
The number was unchanged on our return but we were in fact told that the "cleaner" had been to “check our complaints” and also that we hadn't left the key, a complete lie from somebody!!! The following day the cleaner did in fact come and said the TV was fine and the hot water in the shower worked!
I have taken pictures of the TV error codes we experienced, which I am happy to share with you and I would suggest she needed to take a shower to witness the constant fluctuations in temperature, we are not in the habit of lying and I resent the fact our complaints were not taken seriously. Finally a response from your relief rep commenting that she had made the decision to contact "Tina" (actual rep in charge of our property) and interrupt her holiday "yet again" !!!
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Great location
- Caroline (7/5): A lovely flat in a great location but with a few added basics it would have been excellent. - The flat is in an ideal location just a few minutes walk from all that Stratford-upon-Avon has to offer. It was light, warm, very spacious, and characterful. Having a dedicated parking space was a real bonus. Even though it’s on a fairly busy road we weren’t disturbed by noise. The problem with the door lock mentioned by previous reviewers seems to have been resolved. Thankfully having read reviews of the flat we came prepared with our own cotton bedding - there is no way I would have been able to sleep in the polyester provided! Just a few little extras would have upped our review to excellent. When you arrive in the evening and just want to settle in and relax, it would have been pleasing to have found the basics like washing up liquid and cloth and a few coffee pods to start you off. The kitchen was excellent but the contents could be vastly improved. It desperately needs a curtain across the door/window, the freezer section in the fridge was unusable due to ice, no saucepan lids or dishes to use in the oven and microwave. I certainly don’t do much cooking when on holiday but these small additions would make a huge difference.
- Max (8/5): Very good -
- Russell (9/5): Fantastic stay lovely place but could do with a bit of a refurb but would definitely stay again - It was great tbh The door has a major issue!! It took me 15 minutes Saturday night to lock it but I'm sure you would be aware of this with the cleaners going in and out and the decking outside the door is really really slippy when wet as I did slip on this
- Sioned (8/5): Excellent location and comfortable for a short stay. - Location, brilliant for walking to the river and theatre. Dedicated parking space. Quiet and peaceful at night. Nice modern light filled kitchen. Door lock was fiddly to close and outside steps a bit slippery.
- James (9/5): Excellent - Excellent location. Close to all the amenities, bars, restaurants. One of the sofas in the living room looked a little tatty.
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Loved it’s location Front door lock is very stiff. Takes several attempts to open and lock.
- Catherine (8/5): Would stay again..not in the summer though..would be too noisy - Location
Parking spot Would have preferred a king size bed
- Paul (1/5): Terrible - No comment No comment
- Zelda (9/5): Superb -
- Barker (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thais (8/5): Space and maintenance. - The space, the maintenance, the kitchen. I had a good time there. It is close to many supermarkets and to the main attractions. The place is very clean, except from the floor under the bed (it seems to me that British don't like to bend down to clean). I would stay there again. though. The access was a little bit weird at first, specially because I arrived late at night. The Uber left me on the street and I had to find my way to the house, that was inside a yard (i.e., behind the main street) and I had to pass behind restaurants, beside garbage cans etc. At first, I thought I was completely lost, but then I found my way.
- Andrew (5/5): Passable - Parking The lock on the door is useless.Spent ten mins one night trying to get in.Mattress not comfortable.Flaking plaster and paintwork.Skirting trims look like bodge job.
- Trevor (8/5): Very good - The parking - someone was in our allocated bay, we had to find parking elsewhere, when the booking confirmed there was parking on arrival
- Avril (8/5): Flat offers good value for money in an ideal location with parking - Tidy, clean and spacious flat with parking which was a real bonus. Location in Sheep Street is the place to be but the entrance is not into street, its via the service area/parking at back of shops - area is well lit at night and wasn't a problem for us. Sadly no chairs on outside space, nor any chairs in the property to move outside. Outside lights didn't work so the second night we left kitchen light on to be able to see way up steps and enter. Agree with a previous comment - bottom sheet on bed really past its best and should be replaced. Lastly, unless you are an exhibitionist take something to wear when moving around the flat as you are on show from virtually every window!
- Ethan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shirley (9/5): Excellent location, clean and comfortable flat with very good facilities. - Location was perfect. Very spacious and comfortable
- Colin (8/5): Perfectly placed for exploring Stratford upon Avon. - Excellent location No curtains/blinds on kitchen door/window/front entrance meant it was very overlooked at night when lights were on.
- Sally (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (8/5): Excellent location - Great location and plenty of room. No fan and very hot, noisy in early hours of morning with rubbish and street cleaners.
- Peter (7/5): Enjoyable. Good location for meeting with friends. - Location. Parking. Proximity of shops, cafes and restaurants.
- Paul (10/5): Lovely character property in the heart of Shakespeare’s Stratford. Nicely decorated and close to everything you’d want - Wonderful and central to the Stratford Shakespeare scene. Very interesting character property full of features and in the old part.
- Diane (7/5): Fantastic place but very disappointed in bedding - Very well appointed property in a fantastic position for town, theatre, restaurants and theatre Whole stay almost ruined by 100%polyester stretchy microfibre sheets and duvet that were extremely uncomfortable on a hot sticky night. It only got down to 24 C overnight. So we would have been hot anyway but 100% polyester in that weather is completely inappropriate.
The cleaner came but only brought another better quality 100% polyester sheet. I have never ever thought I would need to specify that cotton sheets were a basic requirement. Cleaner was lovely though. We bought some cotton bedding from Tesco which was much more comfortable and will use it at home.
- Jonathan (10/5): Perfect romantic getaway spot in the heart of Stratford. - Location was amazing - right on Sheep street so in the thick of restaurants and about a 3 min walk to the river and theatres. Could not have picked a better location.
A wonderful little apartment perfect for a couple getaway. Kitchen was great and equipped enough for simple meals but apart from breakfast we ate out in the amazing places nearby. Bed comfortable and lovely large living room overlooking the bustling street. We went in a very hot spot in July so the place was quite warm but nothing that leaving windows open didn’t solve!
- Jacqui (8/5): Very good - Location and parking were fantastic. Instructions very clear.
- Haydn (5/5): An excellent location but the apartment had a very basic feel and is in need of a general overhaul. - 1. Location excellent.
2. On site car parking. 1. The lock in the entrance door was very difficult to open/lock.
2. Instructions are needed for the TV.
3. The lighting in the living room was very dim.
4. The light in the passage does not work.
- Judith (8/5): Great location for seeing Stratford - Great location and character. We prefer a larger bed.
- Jonathan (9/5): Superb -
- Colin (10/5): Brilliant -
- Alison (8/5): Very nice! - Location The view of the bins and no chairs on the patio
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- Brenda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bethany (10/5): Everything was absolutely brilliant and will definitely be booking again. -
- Frankie (10/5): Lovely stay - Lovely and spacious, bed was really comfortable and the location was ideal. Nothing
- David (9/5): Very enjoyable, great location for the river and restaurants. Hopefully spend longer next time. - Location was excellent, nice and quiet .and very comfortable Not a lot. Could do with some instructions for the tele. Heating would insist on reverting to 26 deg.🥵
- Nicola (9/5): Ideal, comfortable venue for the theatre. - Great location for the theatre The only door to the apartment was very awkward to operate.
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - The location in the center of town was fantastic and its own car parking space was great. The property was clean, and instructions were thorough to make it easy to find and get in. We're accommodating when we arrived early and allowed parking until we could check in. The Patisserie downstairs can be noisy but closes at 5 30pm, so no sounds after this time
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional -
- Neil (4/5): Disappointing -
