• Eloise (10/5): Nicest hosts I’ve ever had! - The owners were wonderful. Very accommodating. Checked regularly I was okay and if I needed anything. Brought me household items when I ran out as I was there a whole month. The property was next to my usual gym which was really nice. The water was always hot and I loved the bedroom layout. The bed was really comfy too- something that sometimes feels a toss up in Greece. Neighbours are very friendly too as expected for Chania and the house sits on the top of a hill with beautiful views around. Lack of natural light. The property had lots of lights inside to make up for it but it still felt dark sometimes. The WiFi would go off sometimes but I found if I removed it from my device and then typed in the password again it would work fine again.
• Shuleva (10/5): Exceptional - Very well decorated and comfortable accommodation. You are actually staying at a house as you have independent entrance and your own outdoor area. The kitchen is big and very well equipped, so you can enjoy cooking with the fresh produce you can find at Chania's farmer markets, fish and meat shops. There are several very close to the property - just ask your hosts. Katerina and Kostas are very kind and always ready to help with whatever you need. There is parking space just infront of the house and this is very convenient if you are with a car.
• Amy (10/5): Absolutely beautiful! - Absolutely beautiful little apartment in a quiet location. We had a bedroom (air conditioned), huge lounge / dining room, kitchen, bathroom and a lovely private outdoor garden / terrace area with a couple of different seating areas to choose from. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you could need including basic cooking supplies like oil and salt, and there was a lovely little bottle of raki to welcome us. We absolutely loved out stay - the bed was so comfy, the terrace beautiful to enjoy the weather in our own private space and it was so quiet! It's about a half hour walk into Chania town centre, which was ideal for us - alterntively there's a convenience store and parking a minute or two away and some good places to eat that are a lot less touristy. Also I have to give a shout to the lovely owners, who met us at the door to hand over the keys and checked on us regularly as well as sending us loads of information about places to go - we discovered some great places to eat! They even gave us some home-made local pastries which were utterly delicious. Couldn't recommend more. The location was perfect for us - about 20-30 minsutes walk from Chania centre with tavernas and convenience store nearby - but if you don;t want to walk or don;t have a car it could be far for some travellers. It was a lovely walk though and we stopped off at a great little cafe round the corner every morning!
• Aly (10/5): Exceptional - That's the best accommodation I got from booking ever. Everything was perfect, the location, cleanliness, facilities and literally everything was totally perfect. I also can say that Katarina ( the owner ) was the most nice, polite, helpful person I ever met during my journeys. I really felt like I'm with family just thanks to her. I really loved the place and I will definitely come back for it.
• Raluca-florentina (10/5): Our stay at Casa di Nonna in Chania was exceptional—warm hospitality, a great location, and all the conveniences we need - We had an absolutely wonderful stay in Chania! The hosts were incredibly kind and made us feel like royalty throughout our visit. Katerina was very responsive and had some amazing recommendations for us. The accommodation was situated in a great area, just a 20-25 minute walk from the city center. It’s so traditional and very different than the average modern-looking properties. Basically, you get to live the full greek experience by staying here. We loved the convenience of having a parking spot for our rental car, which made exploring the island so easy. There’s also a great local bakery just two streets away and a mini market nearby for all your needs. This place is perfect if you're looking for a comfortable stay in a prime location, as it has everything one might need. It’s like a home away from home. Highly recommended! -

• Heikki (10/5): Exceptional - It was much better than we could even imagine. Beautiful old house with all facilities. A lot of space and really cozy garden. We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay. Location was just perfect for us, quiet but still near the city center. There are also great local restaurants near the property. We rented a scooter and visited many beautiful places of Crete. Catherina and Kostas was super kindly and helpful. We received a warm welcome. I have nothing negative to say.
• Monika (10/5): Is it possible to give more than 10? :) - The house was beautiful and charming, really clean, spacious, well equipped, with everything you need to spend a fantastic holiday. The atmosphere of this place is magical. But this opinion would not be complete without appreciating the hosts. It was Katherina and Kostas who made our stay perfect. Their heart, openness and readiness to help are extraordinary. They welcomed us with fruit, rakija, brought us delicacies to eat, and finally drove us to the station. • Rachelle (10/5): Lovely place to stay in the wonderful city of Chania, felt like a home from home. - Lovely, traditional property located in a residential area of Chania. Lots of space with all the facilities you need available and a lovely outside area to use. 15-20 minute walk to Koum Kapi / Chania and also local bus service very close to take you into the city. Nearby coffee shop and bakery within easy walk. The host Katerina is very friendly and helpful, a very kind and warm lady. If you need any information, she is more than willing to help. Lovely place to stay in the wonderful city of Chania, felt like a home from home as soon as we arrived. There is nothing to say that we didn't like, all was great!

• Radu (10/5): Exceptional - Thank you Katerina and Kostas for your hospitality we felt that we are visiting some good friends The house itself is like a fairy tale. It is a comfortable location, carefully maintained and well equipped. It is a location that is both modern and traditional at the same time. It has a well-equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a comfortable large bed and air conditioning. The bathroom is spacious, with a bathtub, washing machine, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and clean and fluffy towels. The lighting in the location, both in the house and in the garden, is a work of art by Kostas. We were waited for by both our hosts, although we did not arrive at the promised time due to the delay of the plane. The hosts had prepared it with delicious food, wine,Raki, water and fruits. We had a rented car and were able to move every day to a different location with the beach, and Katerina gave us important information to get where we wanted to go. We also received a sun umbrella for our use. All Katerina he helped us with places to eat and even helped us with reservations Last but not least, we must mention the well-stocked family store in the old center of Chania.From there you can buy things specific to the island and souvenirs. We recommend it to everyone who wants to spend a special vacation in a quiet location, even if you have to use a transport for the old center or the beach. We felt great during the 9 nights. • Silica (10/5): Exceptional - I spent a few days in this wonderful house with an absolutely fully equipped kitchen. But the cherry on top was the interior decor and the courtyard surrounding the house. We truly felt pampered living in a 19th-century noble house updated to the comfort of 2023. Everything you need is at your fingertips, even a Nespresso espresso machine, comfortable furniture. It felt like living in a museum, but don't think for a moment that anything seemed old. Somehow, everything has been freshly transported through time and modernized for today. An absolutely romantic location. Thank you for your availability and the opportunity of providing us with this wonderful accommodation.

• Matteo (10/5): Exceptional - Casa della nonna is a wonderful place to spend a relaxing holliday in Hania. It's perfecty clean and it has very nice furnishing. The welcome of the owner was flawless and very warm giving us a bottle of cretan wine, typical candies, and finally a little branch of basicolo for memory. We had a great and confortable stay here, and we will have a very nice memory of Hanià! Thank you!
• Sif (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts at Casa di Nonna are extremely welcoming and helpful. They house was very clean, quiet and cosy. The hosts had prepared it with delicious food, wine, and water, amongst other stuff like cleaning facilities, shampoo, conditioner, etc. They are very likeable and always ready to help to make your stay as nice as possible. Supermarked, restaurant, and bakery within a 10-minute walking distance. 20 minutes walk to old town. I highly recommend Casa Di Nonna. Thank you very much, Katerina and Kostas.

No doubt, it was a most memorable experience. Our hosts, Katerina and Kostas were very hospitable and helpful, going beyond the call of duty to assist us what the locals like, from local produce to restaurants and holiday experiences. The home was class-fully decorated and very spacious. We would definitely recommend it to others if you are looking for a home away from home. There were no negatives as we really enjoyed our stay, especially touching base with the local folks, who were most courteous.

• Chiara (10/5): I stayed at Casa di Nonna for five days with my husband. Katerina is an amazing host, she is a absolute absolutely wonde - The property is a lovely one bedroom house, with lot of space and tons of character. There is a kitchen a bathroom with a bath tub, a bedroom a living room and a dining room. In addition, there is also a lovely outside patio where you can dine or have breakfast in the morning. What I loved most was the space and the exposed stone, which gives the rooms warmth and elegance. nothing
• Rod (10/5): Staying here was like hitting the lottery - First, I would like to mention the hosts, Katerina and Kostas. They went above and beyond to ensure that our stay was wonderful. We found the fully equipped kitchen stocked with cheese, bread, butter, olives, wine, and fruit. Katerina took the time to explain the bus system (the stop is just a few meters away), suggested attractions, eateries, shopping, etc. While out of the main tourist zone, the old town is within walking distance, or you can catch the hourly bus for 1.10 euros. The unit itself was marvelous. Spotless, very comfortable furnishings, plenty of hot water, and good radiant heating system. We especially liked the lighting in the unit. The internet was good. Casa di Nonna is among the top tier of the many apartments we have rented worldwide. If you are considering this property, put it at the top of your list. Casa di Nonna is a place you'll want to come back to. The minor inconveniences and annoyances aren't worth mentioning. No place is perfect, Casa di Nonna is close.
• Lino (10/5): Nothing could have been better! - What can I say about Casa di Nonna? I should advert you that I, previously, have worked almost 20 years in the tourist business, more precisely employed in an agency that rented apartments, villas, etc. in Southern Europe to Scandinavians. Most of the time, I worked as a contractor so I have seen thousands of “homes away from home” over the years. Bearing that in mind, I can only say that I haven’t one single fault to apply to Casa di Nonna: it is perfect, in my eyes. You live here at a short stroll from the madding crowd in the centre, yet you are among the Cretans in a nice suburban quarter with minimarkets, cafés, etc. within a couple of minutes of brisk walk (nearest friendly café, three minutes). The house is … impeccable. It is squeaky clean; the taste is exquisite; the furniture is … well, let’s say that I wish I had the same quality at home. The proprietors are so friendly and helpful that you almost say stop: Listen, you are here to ear something, not to give me meals, offer me wine when we occasionally meet at the restaurant, not to get up before dawn to drive me to the bus station. In short, this is the ideal place for a couple of days, for a week, or for a life in Chania.
• Marlene (10/5): Wonderful vacation - We arrived and Katerina was already waiting for us. Everything was prepared to feel welcome and with a love for detail. They even had water, fresh fruit and some pastry for us. She showed us around and made it clear we could always ask for anything that was missing. She gave us information about day trips we could do, gave us bus connections, wrote us down her recommendations for restaurants. During our stay she and her husband were always available for any question and made us feel most welcome in their beautiful house. Their hospitality was part of the reason why our vacation was really wonderful. The house was very clean and organized. There is a good bus connection up to the house from the city center and by taxi we paid 6€ (10/2022). Nothing, everything was wonderful.
• Sheila (10/5): Superb+ exceptional - Situated in a quiet neighbourhood in Chania with plenty of free parking in the street and near a bus stop.A beautifully renovated and newly decorated house with a lovely vibe which was spotlessly clean.A well equipped kitchen and lovely bathroom with plenty of hot water and white fluffy towels.The bed was huge and so comfortable.All of the doors and windows were fitted with fly screens .The courtyard was lovely to sit out and relax in.As for the hosts Costas and Katherina they were truly wonderful hosts who gave us Greek hospitality at its very best, we could not have wished for anyone better.The thoughtful welcoming goodies made our stay so special.We will never forget them or their kindness Not a single thing it was superb in every respect
