Guest Reviews
- Cedric (9/5): It’s a welcome place , clean and friendly - It’s was clean and quiet None
- Phukubje (5/5): - The place is closer to the hospital which was perfect as I had a procedure done a few days earlier. The place is too small.

- Angela (3/5): If you want peace and quiet and friendly hosts, this is NOT the place for you! - The room is decorated nicely Hosts were unfriendly and unwilling to assist with an early check in, and had a negative response when I asked them for a hairdryer. The room is pretty but not very functional. No sink to wash your dishes and the bathroom has a zinc roof which is VERY noisy at night with things falling from the trees above... kept we wake EVERY night!!!
The room's window overlooks the pool and the a 2nd room... with no privacy!

barling dogs, noisy .

- Erhard (7/5): We had a comfortable stay and were happy with what we received for good value - My pin to acces key box did not unlock the box. However, other guests assisted us.

- Mary-Jane (9/5): Peaceful, comfortable place where you feel like you are at home - I loved the place we stayed at. The host was super friendly and helpful. The dogs on the premises are so friendly and nice. They felt like a piece of home, while our doggo wasn't with us. The room was very big and comfortable and in a very quiet area. The room unfortunately had no air conditioner but they did provide a small fan. There was also no sink except the one in the bathroom so clean up daily was difficult but other than that the property had everything else we needed.
- Shawaal (10/5): -
- Christian (9/5): - We liked everything.
- Dane (10/5): - The room is exceptional, spacious, clean and very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Nothing. Everything was great 😃

- SBasson (10/5): Our stay at Camellia Cottage - Courtyard Room - The room was very cosy and also nicely hidden from the rest of the property, which made it feel like we were in our own little home. The owners were also very welcoming, which made the arrival better for us. The room as well as the area which it is in is very neat and clean. There is an Engine Garage, and small shopping centre just 1,5km away from the venue, which ended up being our main hub for snacks and food. Another bonus is the hospital that is just as close to the venue. So overall it is located in a nice and central area in Cape Town. It would've been nice to have access to a microwave or fridge, but we managed to work around that and weren't that bothered with it.

- Monika (10/5): -
- Linda (9/5): - We liked the location and proximity to where we needed to be.
It is well situated close to mall. Everything suited us. Thank you
- Gaadija (8/5): - I loved everything The fact that there was no stove
- Justine (1/5): - I cancelled my trip and I was never given my money back and to this day I am still struggling to get my money back and the owner is very rude They are so rude and don't want to refund me I paid via the app but they are referring me to the app when I want my money.i am so disappointed.
- Sophie (9/5): - Spacious,gorgeous view!
- David LEFTY (7/5): - Needs a mini fridge. And parking in street not completely clear while booking (advised post booking, Pre stay)
- Constant (9/5): -
- Bailey (10/5): Comes with therapy dogs - It comes with 2 dogs.
Not to take home!!
Two dogs that will come give you cuddles whenever they see you Nothing, it was a perfect stay
- Erika (10/5): -
- ROD MACK27 (8/5): - Property was smart., clean and modern. The property does indicate parking is off-street, but did not realise this was outside the property and on the grass verge. The room was comfortable, clean and smart.
- Abigail (6/5): -
- Christopher (7/5): Quiet, clean and convenient for business in the Southern Suburbs and for Southern Peninsula sightsee - Room was large, airy and comfortable with nice outlook onto the pool and garden.
Locality was close to shops and restaurants in Constantia and reasonably close to office I was visiting. so ideal from this perspective.
Nice pool and garden area though time did not permit us to use them.. Host met us on arrival and gave us the keys and a brief overview. Off site parking was a concern although I understand it is a safe and quiet area.
I do believe drinking water should be available for guests and although we bought our own we did run out from time to time. Sufficient milk for coffee for our 5 day stay should have been provided. The room was not serviced and no dishwashing facilities were available.
- Trei lynne (8/5): -
- Londiwe (9/5): One of the best so far (your bedding is the best) - It was nice and very cozy, and Jo is very friendly and welcoming as well as helpful. It was also very clean.
I am not usually someone who uses guesthouse bedding. I always travel with my own. However, Their sheets, pillow and duvet material was so soft and comfy that I slept like a baby until the early morning dreams, but after praying I was able to pull the duvet back up and fell asleep once more.
I am not always a huge fan of dogs, but I enjoyed the welcome that I got from their dogs and they made me feel better as I was feeling down yesterday. I think the beautiful female dog was a bit sad that I was leaving this morning as she just sat and looked at me.I can't believe I have such fond memories about dogs right now *smiles*
I must say their towels also look super clean and the quality of their towels is top notch. I wish that there was a microwave in the room. I ate my supper cold.
- Sharon & John (10/5): Superb - The tranquility, comfortable and clean room The fact that apartment had no sink for dish washing
- Baitshepi (9/5): -
- Kaylene (9/5): -
- Johannes (10/5): -
- Simons (3/5): Not a good experience as I had to pay extra for coming late to check in. - Location . Did not like the fact that we had to pay an R200 on late arrival and I told the host . He was not having it any other way . So I was charged 900 for a tiny room where as I could have gone with another place with friendly host .
- Ransford Kobina (9/5): It was very peaceful to stay there -
- Mkangala (10/5): Exceptional - I like the location, environment as well as the cottage itself, it was sparkling clean " the owners were very friendly and welcoming I felt at home . The fact that i couldn't use the swimming pool beacause it was under maintenance.
- Liz (6/5): Don’t book if you’re likely to arrive/depart outside set times or you’ll pay heavily. - It was clean, spacious with quality bed linen. The R200 fee (an almost 25% cost increase) for early arrival even though the owner was there overseeing builders. Communication was average and I was never told builders were working on the property outside the room. The listing included a fire but no instructions were provided where wood was or how to light. It was cold in the evening.
- Gaetano (10/5): -
- Smuts (9/5): Cozy and comfortable - Very clean and cozy. Nothing
- Chezy (10/5): - I loved the cosiness and the warm welcome from Joe.
- Salome (7/5): Good location - Location is really good, safe neighbourhood. The windows don't have curtains, even though they are opaque, there's a lot of light in the morning. There was a water cut and communication and management was poor.
- Ron (7/5): -
- Vicki (10/5): Exceeded all expectations! - The room was lovely and exceeded my expectations. Had everything we needed, was easy to locate as Its close by to the M3 which meant quick access to and from where we went. Room was lovely with a comfy couch, perfectly sized dining table and a very lekker fireplace! Will definitely be staying here again!
- LILLIAN (8/5): Excellent Stay! Would stay again. -
- Mandy (10/5): -
- Yunus (9/5): -
- Chris (5/5): It was OK. - The bathroom, however very small, has a good shower. The bed is fair. Very small room, but for the amount we paid, it was fair.

- Antoinette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Russell (6/5): Disappointing. - The host insisted on a R200 late arrival fee for arriving at 7pm, before granting access to the cottage. After which they continued hosting a load social gathering outside the cottage until 10pm / There are zero kitchen facilities in the cottage other than a bar fridge.
- Lazola (10/5): The cottage was very lovely and warm and the owners were welcoming I enjoyed my stay! - The place was clean and homey
