- Kevin (10/5): - Lovely little house,couldnt falt anything about it,5* off me.👍
- Jane (10/5): A relaxing couple of days in a lovely location - The accommodation, although small, was ideal for us , very private, quiet, immaculate, and well equipped, and close to Edinburgh. The hosts, Rachel and Ross made us and our dogs feel very welcome. We particularly appreciated being allowed to use their secure field to exercise our two dogs. We certainly hope to return. Nothing
- Kirstin (10/5): - Great property and hosts Nothing! Perfect stay

- Lizzy (10/5): Fantastic place to stay - Great place to stay. Bedroom area really cosy. Everything you need provided. Well stocked kitchen and lovely bathroom. Lots of walking in the area.
- Nicnak075 (9/5): Comfy & cosy ☺️ - The location for where we needed to go was perfect. Everything you needed was in the apartment already. There was nothing the hosts hadn't thought of. The hosts were very welcoming too put you at ease as soon as you arrived. My little girl loved seeing the hens run around. There was nothing I would say that we didn't like.
- Julie (9/5): - We stayed here as a base after going to a gig in Edinburgh. We weren't there very long but it was perfect for our needs.
- Andrei (10/5): - Spacious, clean property in a great location.
Hosts were very welcoming with biscuits, water and milk waiting for us on arrival.

- Lynne (10/5): Great pet friendly place to stay. Would recommend 100%! - Great host, flat clean, modern and very comfortable. Ideal for.our needs and a lovely quiet location. Secure garden for our dog and even wee treats left for them. Loved the hens and a great base for exploring. Will be back again. Thanks again to our hosts. Can't fault it!

- Daniel (10/5): The perfect Xmas getaway - Everything about this property is absolutely perfect its such an idyllic getaway space , the location was great it was nice and out of the way , but literally 5 minutes away from shops , fuel all the necessities, it was a stones throw from Edinburgh to so great for travelling roughly 20 minutes into the city , the owners Rachel and Ross were super helpful , nice and nothing was to much for them to help with , the property itself had great features a nice media wall the bedroom area looking into the rest of the property was awesome with a little sky light window to ,
It was fantastic 11/10 we stayed for Xmas and it made our Xmas that much better
I cant reccomend it enough and I will certainly be coming back again
Thank you so much.
- Johanna (9/5): - The host was very kind and helpful. The location was peaceful and a good base to explore the area from.
- Brian (10/5): Place was really nice and made to feel very welcome. Will definetly book again 😁 - Evrything was spotless and very comfortable Nothing
- Emma (7/5): Pleasant hosts , good space and value for money - Clean
Good space
Pleasant hosts
Dog friendly Not very warm even with additional heaters on
Strange unfamiliar lingering smell in property
- Sauro Siena (10/5): - Tutto
Struttura e staff accoglienti, casa molto bella e con un parcheggio sicuro e chiuso da cancello.
Molto pratico per chi si muove in auto e moto, vicinissimo ad un paese con ogni servizio ma immerso nella natura. Niente di negativo
- Wendy (10/5): Lovely stay - We were very happy with the accommodation – it was clean, spacious, and comfortable. The kids especially loved the friendly pet hens, which added a fun and unique touch to our stay. Would definitely recommend!
- Stephanie (8/5): Good location for short break - Friendly hosts. Clean. Well proportioned. Very warm and cozy. Secure off road parking. Good base to explore East coastal towns. Entertaining chickens.
- Amy Anne-Louise (10/5): Would stay again ! - Private location
Everything you needed! A bit tricky to find with no signs
- Sven (5/5): -
- Maureen (9/5): Lovely house. - Self contained house with great location. Had

- shane (10/5): - The Chickens...
Lovely couple and very helpful
Great location 5 minutes drive to Park and ride into Edinburgh We couldn't stay longer as was a flying visit to see AC/DC
Back to Lincoln next morning for a Wedding
- Adrian (8/5): excellent value for money , very friendly and great location - location for us was very good and very easy to access , lovely and quite and close to the town and main roads everything was fine
- Andrew (9/5): -
- alec (9/5): Ideal for a short stay and had everything we needed - Used accommodation as we were getting work done to our house. Ideal location, close to our house and work. Good comfortable accommodation. Owners really friendly and helpful. Nothing really, property is in the owners garden so might not suit all but happy with location. WiFi was an issue during storm but hey its the country!!
- Lorraine (10/5): Very comfortable with lovely welcoming host - The location was great
Very peaceful, clean and comfortable The sink being so near the hob
- Darragh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ruth (3/5): Limited - Loved the hens. The shower was good. The hosts were nice. Ceiling in attic low, and poorly laid out, for anyone over a certain age. The bed settee is very uncomfortable. No seating to drop down table. No drainer between sink and electric hob. Nowhere to go without transport, which is why we think it's over priced.
- Ian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marlena (10/5): Amazing place - Ross and Rachel are one of the friendliest hosts we've ever met. When we arrived, they were waiting with the keys. Ross showed us the property, then he told us about the chickens. We asked if our kids could help them to pick up the eggs the next morning and they did. It was an amazing experience for the little ones. The chickens and other animals are so well looked after! There was no issues with the property at all! It is located about 20 miles from Edinburgh but we took the train to the city, which was very handy. It is on the country side but if you need to recharge, disconnect and feel the nature, book it!
These guys are absolutely amazing!
- Elizabeth (8/5): Very good -
- Lorna (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (9/5): home from home, very friendly hosts, would happily stay again. - very welcoming hosts, location The bed was a little hard for me, but I guess it's difficult to meet everyone's bed requirements!
- Mary (9/5): Lovely cosy cottage - House is lovely and cosy. Chicken were so cute chatting in the morning, lovely to hear them. Bed upstairs are very comfortable, but when we come, smells of humidity are strong, so we ask Rach to turn on the heating as it helps with smell. Room upstairs is lovely, but It smells really bad of humidity, and the stuff in my suitcase got that smell after 3 days there. Sofa bed downstairs is not comfortable at all and very noisy while turning.
- Blessed (5/5): Convenient for last minute booking - Convenient, kind host.
- Gemma (10/5): The hen house - Clean , comfortable, plenty of room , Rachel and Ross were amazing hosts and we got engaged in the hen house .
- Jill (10/5): Exceptional - House and location was lovely was greeted by the host and shown around which was really nice house was spotless and had everything we needed would definitely be back Nothing
- David (9/5): Very pleasant and perfect for our short stay - Location was great, quiet area with pleasant hosts 👍
- Chloe (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Carl (9/5): Superb -
- Gavin (10/5): Something different but something beautiful - Wow! Where to start!
Ross and Rachel were super friendly hosts, really accommodating and kind to our kids (8,12) allowing them to get up close with the hens, was the highlight for the kids.
For me, picturesque scenery and a cozy open plan cabin to stay in. With a 5 minute drive to Haddington, which you could probably walk on a nice day in about 20 mins. Great place to stay with lots of open space for kids to play or scenery to take in.
My son has already said we need to go back in the summer, so we’ll see you seen! Thanks for an excellent stay and some really happy memories :)
- Janice (10/5): Peaceful location, wonderful hosts, spotlessly clean well equipped accommodation - The eggs were freshly delivered from chickens to me same day.
Very peaceful location and very close to haddington.
Hosts were very welcoming, friendly and were available at all times if required.
The accommodation was well equipped and everything was immaculate Cannot find fault with my booking
- Kenneth (10/5): Exceptional - We had a fantastic stay. The property is amazing and the views were stunning, we also enjoyed our feathered neighbours they were so friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem and we will be looking to book a longer stay soon
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aneta (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional - Well located for Haddington, nice secure location .. could happily stay there for a longer period as a base for exploring the Edinburgh area. Maybe slightly expensive but reflects the availability within the area, so not a negative as such. Would still highly recommend.
- Sandra (10/5): Booked for one night and everything was perfect -
- Jennifer (8/5): Very good -
- Robert (9/5): Superb - Good size, clean studio in a nice quiet area with plenty of space to walk the dog. And chickens. Welcoming communicative hosts. Haddington's a good base for exploring the area. Not walkable to town (but meant it was nice and quiet for the dog). Also be careful of the bottom step!
- Ciara (10/5): Lovely, cozy and comfortable character property. Perfect for a quiet getaway. Thanks for having us! - Clean and comfortable, good size tv, lovely property! Lots of space for our dog in the garden. Milk, water, biscuits and plenty of kitchen essentials provided. Hosts were lovely too. Comfy couch and bed. We were only here for one night to avoid any New Year fireworks at home for our dog but it was ideal- rural and quiet but cozy! We’d definitely come back. Nothing! The weather was particularly wild so we didn’t get to enjoy the garden and the big field with our dog as much as we might have otherwise but that’s just Scottish weather for you!
- Andrew (9/5): Great, would stay again. - Lovely place, very friendly hosts, comfy sofa & beds, well equipped. Could have been a bit warmer, although it's hard to heat a big space like this.
- Alison (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (9/5): Lovely stay at the hen house! - Lovely hosts. Good location for my work. Ideal for my dog. Bed was very comfy and a nice hot shower! Was a bit cold but had the heaters to warm the space up. Nothing to complain about. Only thing I would say if someone is staying for longer than a day, could maybe do with some oven trays or dishes for cooking oven food (unless I missed them).. :-)
- Annalise (10/5): A hidden jem! - The property itself was cosy clean and inviting, the staff incredibly friendly and welcoming, not to mention the fabulous collection of animals they have, upon our arrival there was water, milk and even biscuits awaiting us. Overall an amazing experience I’d happily recommend and revisit
- Lucy (9/5): Superb - The accommodation was cute and comfortable in a great location for both the city and the beach.
We stayed one night with our dog, who loved it too! It wasn't a big problem, but the check in process instructions weren't very clear. I didn't realise that the owner needed to know arrival time to let us into the gated property. I wasn't sure of my plans and changed arrival time more than once - but we were made most welcome.
- Mairi (8/5): Very good -
- Mersiha (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arwa (9/5): Lovely vacation home in a quiet area. - Truly a lovely vacation home. Quiet, clean, with secure parking and beautiful surroundings. The hosts were warm and welcoming, and the house was fully kitted out with everything one would need. We only stayed one night, but will plan to stay longer next time we're in the area. Excellent value for money. Not much one can do about it but I bumped my head more than a few times on the low ceiling in the loft bedroom, and I'm only 5'2"! Tall people will need to be more careful :)
- Craig (10/5): Very friendly host. Great little apartment, will be staying again. - Nice peaceful and relaxing stay here. Very pleased with the secure parking. Clean comfortable apartment, good location for travel to and from Edinburgh. All fine.
- Maribel (8/5): 3 days - Excellent location and great accommodation. The chicken were adorable 😃 We really love the property but it needs to be a bit clean.
