Guest Reviews
- Pavani (10/5): We had very good time in the cabin. It has everything we needed. Well maintained and spacious. - Very good views and rustic cabin feel. Calm and quiet.
- Blaise (10/5): - Fantastic far-reaching views, lots of space inside and a large deck outside. Loved sitting out in the evenings watching the stars come out and the lights come in the valley miles below. A tea-pot would have been nice! Apart from that, everything we wanted in the kitchen, and more, was there.
- Camille (10/5): Exceptional - i loved the aesthetic it was so cozy and great to have spent a weekend here. i liked everything !
- Elizabeth (7/5): The upstairs being gross got our vaca off to a bad start butwe managed to enjoy the rest of the trip - The kitchen counters were a little dirty but the real problem was that there were RAT DROPPINGS all over the upstairs bedrooms. We contacted the owner who informed us she that was out of the country and couldn’t find a cleaner. She then asked if we could please clean it and she’d give us $100.
Well
1. I’m not a maid
2. We’re on vacation
3.I had to pay a $300 cleaning fee
I spent the night on the sofa, so my girls could share the downstairs bedroom
My hard working daughter got up way too early and drove 30 minutes into town for cleaning supplies and spent the first full day of her vacation washing bedding, cleaning & sanitizing the upstairs before we could use it.
FYI I did not get a refund of my cleaning fee nor did my daughter get $100 for cleaning
- Ian (8/5): Fantastic views in a traditional feeling chalet with lots of mod cons. - Amazing views from the lovely balcony, with the gas powered fire pit.
Very peaceful.
Extremely well equipped, especially the kitchen - there was even an air fryer.
Nice touches like cotton buds, toothbrushes, soap in every bathroom.
Host was very friendly and responsive when contacted. No wardrobe downstairs for use by the master bedroom is inconvenient, especially if you were staying a while.
Could do with a bit of tlc in places - eg, the sliding toilet door in the master bathroom was broken. The utility folding door was off its rail. Nothing too significant, but would help with the overall impression.
Balcony decking was very dirty, and we had to sweep it on arrival - not sure if this is a feature of the location being dry and dusty, but it really needs to be included in the cleaning schedule to avoid treading dirt into the house. It really needed a good wash down.
- Jayda (9/5): Superb -
- Nirmalya (9/5): Awesome view with quality cabin. - Amazing views and well stocked house Bath locks were not working.
- Tom (9/5): Overall, had a wonderful time. - Gas firepit on deck overlooking the valley. Housekeeping didn't leave much soap, shampoo, trash bags, and dish soap. Minor inconvenience.
- Zobeida (10/5): Extraordinary stay with thw family - Cabin is beautiful in and out, is very charming and cozy, beds are very comfortable and there was enough beds for our family of 12, including kids, the kitchen is very well equipped and there is a laundry room, a big plus, when we arrived ac was on and working great!! Everything was very clean and fresh bedding and towels, so much better than staying in a hotel, yes some reviews say is dated, but is a cabin in the woods so for us it was perfect, we loved loved loved the wood walls and ceiling, and people please the water is yellow because is a well that is why the toilets are stain, they are not dirty!! we definitely are coming back soon to enjoy this place with its beautiful views It’s a little bit far from the cities about 20 min more or less but it is totally worth the drive up and down
- Andrea (8/5): Peaceful, beautiful escape from city life made for a wonderful girls' getaway - Sitting out on the deck for meals, enjoying the fire pit, or just enjoying the scenery was amazing. The house is a great size so there was room to spread out. Full kitchen made it nice for meals with everything we needed available. The dining area was nice and big so we could have game nights, gather for meals or just enjoy the gorgeous view. The owner was available and quick to respond to questions. The two car garage is really a nice feature even though we chose not to use it. Some minor repairs are needed. Cleanliness could be improved.
