Guest Reviews
- Karen (4/5): Need to lut some euculiptus in the corners or something. - There was no breakfast. The beds could crtainly do with updating, rather uncomfortable.
- Ian (10/5): -
- Sara (1/5): You get what you pay for I guess. But even the price for 1 night was a bit steep for it. - It had a secure backyard and pets were allowed It was very very outdated.
Could do with a fix up that’s for sure,
No home feel to it what so ever, very plain.
Has a very bad smell and I literally checked in straight after the “clean” was done.
No hate towards the owner whatsoever.
But just a idea to definitely look into fixing it up. Give it a homey touch if you can’t renovate at the moment.
- ccmmrrtt (7/5): Comfortable. Clean - Convenient location Water pressure
- Tavis (8/5): - Great little place, it was a later booking and the instructions for check in were easy to follow. Shower was a little small but I am a taller guy so it isn't often I fit in the shower well.
- JustJules72 (5/5): - Location was great
All I can say is this has a great secure yard for people travelling with pets
- Tahlia (10/5): Peaceful and clean - Located in a quiet area with lovely people in the area Nothing
- Tahlia (10/5): Relaxing - Very secure property as well as had a back garage which could be accessed via a alleyway/ lane way which has multiple access points from ruby avenue and both side street at each end Nothing
- Tahlia (10/5): Amazing and quiet - It had lockable gates and enclosed back yard its was great for my 2 year old with adhd and Austin Nothing

- Chailam (9/5): -
- Xin (7/5): Nice stay for an overnight stay - The house is condierable good size, there are enough ammenties around and it is good for a family stay. Worth the cost. It is a bit rundown facility is a bit old but it is acceptable.
- Samantha (7/5): -
- Vanessa (9/5): - My Dad, Dog and myself enjoyed our stay. Clean and quiet and comfortable. Walking distance to main centre...big yard for pets. Will book again in future.
- Alison (7/5): -
- Heather (6/5): Nice enough stay. Very clean and all amenities provided - Super clean and tidy. Clear access instructions from owner Property outdated and in need of maintenance
- Stuart (8/5): Great - Perfect Nothing
- Gary (5/5): -
- Steve (10/5): -
- Mils (7/5): Good nice little spot - Close to city Was all ok
- Chantelle (8/5): - It was great to have an enclosed yard for my two little dogs to roam around. The place was very clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. It was also good to be able to keep the car secure in the enclosed carport. The place is quite dated, but it was as pictured so you know what you're getting.
- Carolin (7/5): - Was neat
Was tidy Need updating
Needs deep clean of furnishings
- D (8/5): - Perfect for what we required.
- Elaine (8/5): We only stayed one night and found the property perfect for our needs as it’s so hard to get accommo - I loved how secure the yard was for my fur baby and how well the property accommodated for pets
- Peta (10/5): - House was super close to everything we needed.
Was secure clean basic but that's all we needed. Host was super friendly :) Beds were a little hard but that's just personal preference.
- Corey (10/5): - Great values
- Elizabeth (1/5): - Not one thing Not up to any letting service standard. Old unkempt smelly. We walked in and looked and walked out, paid to stay elsewhere - not one good comment I could make
- Don (10/5): What a surprise this place was, from booking to leaving everything was super. - Great location and staff very accommodating and easy to deal with. Facilities were great and easy to leax with even an undercover outdoor area. Close to everything you need. Too short a stay.
- Urmila (8/5): -
- Aleksandr (9/5): -
- Breeon (4/5): I was disappointing with the accommodation and would not stay again. - Location was great, only few minutes to town and the river Shower filled up with water and flooded out the door within 2 minutes
There wasn't enough blankets for warmth for the beds I had booked for, had to purchase additional.
Third bed was a fold out single trundle like bed, could feel springs when slept on.
There was only a used sponge, no new ones to wash the dishes with.
House is ran down and could benefit from some TLC, overpriced even being dog friendly.
Yard is well secured, outdoor area nice with lawn.

- Efstathia (6/5): Short stay with pet - Travel back in time property, good for a short stay with pets. Value for money ratio
- Jodie (10/5): Older style house , but very neat and well cared for and very clean and neat . - I loved the fully enclosed garden for my puppy to play in , great back alley electric garage entry, fully undercover..lovely roses in garden too.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - Location, pet friendly, Garden area
- Daryl (5/5): Basic shelter with great parking - Parking is great and for 4 of us to sleep one night on a road trip it was fine. It is old and worn out but floors and surfaces had been cleaned and everything we used worked. Could easily be improved. The frypan had food stuck in it from last use and is too small to cook a family meal in, recommend getting larger one. Can’t turn bathroom sink tap off, try a new washer in it. There needs to be spare blankets available in winter otherwise the electric heater has to run all night. Cupboard door in kitchen falling off hinges could be fixed shut, there’s plenty of other cupboard space. There’s only utensils for 4 but the place can be booked for more people, recommend having 8 of everything. Extraction fan covers need cleaning, I gave the one over stove a bit of a clean. All these things are simple and can be done for the cost of one nights booking.
- Jennifer (6/5): It might be a good place in warmer seasons, but not in winter due to the lack of heating. - Location is good, and getting the key is easy. The host is very friendly and good with communication. The key can't lock the doors and we don't feel safe leaving the valuables when going out to eat. There is no heating and the blanket was too old. (It is a necessity to have either electric blanket or portable heater). $200 a night is not cheap considering the lack of basic facilities.
- Michelle (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (4/5): stay was enjoyable but facilities were not what we expected, - Location. Size of unit and yard. Good for the dog Needs a lot of work and TLC. cleanliness not great. shower and taps need attention. no spare towels or toilet paper.unless asked for. house needs a lot of attention.
- Louise (6/5): Convenient and quiet location - The general cleanliness was not to flash unfortunately,
All pots and dishes where dirty in the cupboards I’m assuming this was the case as the dish cloths that where available for use where not fresh they had all been used prior to our stay and there was no scratch cloth, also mouse droppings on the microwave and a dirty pot on microwave which I assume was old coffee stuck in it. The beds were comfortable but extra blankets would have made our stay a lot more comfortable as it was freezing in the bedrooms.
Also the tap in bathroom would not turn off
- Jenny (9/5): Nice quiet area and great size backyard for our dog. Safe and secure. Aaron was really helpful with some questions. - Perfect for the two of us and our dog. Close to all facilities. Nice quiet area
- Trevor (8/5): Terrific stopover house. - Perfect for travelling with a dog.
Good kitchen, bathroom and laundry with neat backyard and private parking.
- John (5/5): Passable -
- Abayisenga (9/5): Superb -
- Marg (2/5): Cold, uncomfortable, tv reception very poor. I don’t recommend this property until renovated. - Only the location & secure parking Shower backed up water didn’t drain away. Taps not opening or closing properly. The place smelt! There wasn’t enough heating very cold. Not enough blankets, dirty smelly carpets, dirty windows, screens & floors. Security door would not lock. Curtain in second bedroom on stretch wire wouldn’t close or slide & dirty. Couch dirty. Shame they haven’t painted, tiled or done a Reno. Deceptive the way it was advertised rating = 1 star lumpy bed in spare room. Couldn’t turn off taps they needed replacing.
- Graeme (7/5): Great location, great property for people travelling with a dog - Location - walking distance to the river area and main cafe precinct, off street secure parking, quiet street, great yard for the dog. The house was very basic, some of the cupboards didn't close properly and the TV was badly pixelating. Exhaust fans needed to be cleaned in bathroom and kitchen.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (9/5): Fantastic value for money - Secure parking, great space of property, location excellent A fan in second bedroom.
- John (9/5): Good place to relax.Quick walk to shops and restaurants - Great place for us and our little dog.
- Duran (10/5): Exceptional -
- Paul (10/5): Short overnight stay Nothing to fault - Great location. Perfect for my dog. All facilities provided. Nothing missing. Secure parking was a bonus. No complaints at all.
- Christine (8/5): A good stay that met our needs - Well located secure garden with private parking. As advertised and met our needs Older property could do with a little upkeep.
- Dani (5/5): Passable - Old and smelly place.
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Palmer (1/5): Bad - This property is like a grotty old flat and should not be on any holiday let site It stunk of filth dogs and cigarettes We didn't stay
- Gabrielle (3/5): Like staying at your nana’s house who is loosing her sight inside things were neat and there were all the appliances et - Location
Lock up garage and good parking
Good aircon Not clean
Musty
Old
Unclean linen
Mousy

- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional - Great little place, close to everything and a quick walk to the Murray. Secure place to have our dog on our trip. Owner was very accommodating, easy check in.
- Belinda (9/5): Superb -
- Ron (9/5): Very good - Plenty of room and away from traffic noise. Had everything we needed.
- Vicki (8/5): Very good - Clean, easy. Need to get cleaner to empty the kitchen bin. Full, smelly, no bag. Outside bins also smelly and close to door. V
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional -
- G (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raynond (5/5): very fittings( laminatedr lifting off cupboard tops). Hot water tap in vanity couldn’t be turned off. Okay for - Catered for pets. Neither the sliding door or the security screen were able to be locked from inside or outside. Air conditioning unit ( humidifying type) took a few hours to cool the house to a comfortable temperature, Makes a noise like a truck coming through your bedroom.
- Cassie (10/5): Secure parking, great yard for the dog to run around in and quaint country feel to the home. - Relax at Ruby has a authentic country town feel too it and it was perfect to relax in after a long drive. The owner was very nice, quick to respond to messages and made the transition from the road easy. NA
- Dianne (8/5): Handy to shops and Murray River - Good location
- Sharron (10/5): Excellent definitely recommend - Excellent accommodation and helpful hostsexc
- Kelly (9/5): Superb - Aaron goes out of his way to make stay comfortable. Good location with secure parking available. Great place if travelling with a dog as we were. Thanks
- Jennifer (9/5): Casual comfort - Comfortable, convenient home with everything we needed. The yard was safe and secure for our two small dogs. Garage access at the back of the yard was also very convenient. Excellent value for money. We had a lovely stay.
- Rebecca (10/5): Exceptional - Relax at ruby was a nice place to stay with our pups for a night. It is an older home, but all amenities and things you need were there for us. Dogs had a safe and secure yard, which gave us nice peace of mind. Great value for money for an overnight stay.
- Shazzaray (6/5): Pleasant -
