• RL (9/5): Amazing retreat by Kawaguchiko! - Honestly, everything about this place is amazing. The moment you walk in, it's just calm - the design and furnishings are all so thoughtful. Highlights would have to be the bath, main bedroom overlooking the lake, beer on tap included, and deer just behind the accommodation. Everything you need to enjoy and relax is there. The welcome tour and the support from the host during the stay was wonderful. I really can't think of anything negative to say about it. Accessibility-wise, the stairs. Each step is tall with a small foot-print, so even for our group with relatively good mobility and fitness we found them a bit difficult to navigate.

Every feature shown through the tour amazed us more as we went and using them was very exciting and fun. Especially the hot tub, but every small detail was honestly perfect. Nothing.

Everything—from condiments and beverages to furniture and bedsheets—was thoughtfully curated and perfectly executed. The staff were warm, friendly, and exceptionally accommodating. Their concierge service was top-notch, handling everything from booking chef-prepared meals to assisting with our laundry after long travels. We absolutely loved our stay. The shower temperature was slightly cooler than we prefer due to the hot spring water system, but the staff went above and beyond to address it during our visit.
