We were made to feel very welcome and at home by Sarah. Also fantastic place to bring our little dog. N/A
- James (10/5): The perfect place to spend in a bubble for the weekend. - The property was very clean and decorated to a high standard. It had everything we needed for a short stay. Very comfortable bed with lovely fresh smelling sheets. Beautiful lighting, warming log fire, good temperature and pressure on the shower. The added food items, tea, coffee, sugar were a lovely touch. Lovely smelling shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. The eye mask were a lovely touch but we didnāt need them for the time of year.
Location was easy to find, small local flooded roads but easy to drive through.
Owners were very friendly and accommodating. The fact we had to leave.

- Teresa (9/5): Perfect place for a comfortable short stay . Scenic and quiet location in the countryside - Comfortable stay Big open space was lovely with mezzanine bedroom giving lots of light and views. Place was fitted out to a high standard with lovely log fire .Essential food pack on arriving was very welcome . Garden fully secure and accommodation was very pet friendly with biscuits , bowl and pet towel provided ,with the thoughful addition of guard across open plan stair-case to keep furry friends downstairs. Owners very friendly and and responsive to requests.
Lots of scenic walks on the levels close by
- Richard (9/5): Complimented our itinerary perfectly. - Itās uniqueness. Thoughtfully renovated. The heating relies on the log burner. So in colder weather than when we were there, it would be baltic first thing or when you come back in the evening. Needs some thought.
- Kathryn (8/5): Lovely break to rest and relax. - It was very clean and had all the essentials (e.g milk and sugar etc). The views were lovely and a lovely pub down the road which did a lovely brunch! Just the location was a bit far to most places and having no oven or air fryer.
- Frances (10/5): - The bed was so comfortable and the views were just perfect! A little Orchard full of pears and plums, just divine. We had an amazing time. Nothing at all.
- Sabine (10/5): AMAZING!!! - It was absolutely perfect! The house, the area, the people! Amazing holiday! Thank you Sarah! Nothing
- Sabrina (9/5): -
- David (10/5): Sarah the host was very helpful during my stay. nothing was too much trouble and I would stay there again. - The location was perfect very quiet which is what I was looking for. The facilities were excellent. I could not wish for anything more. very rare to get 100% positive. But I could find no faults whatsoever. There was nothing about the property whatsoever. it was first class.
- Karen (9/5): Would definitely return. Sarah was a lovely host and provided small hamper of essentials. - Location was perfect as my husband wanted rivers a canals nearby for fishing, and lots nearby. Lovely location, lots of wildlife to be seen. Own garden, lots of seating and it allowed our dog to run around
- Georgina (10/5): Beautiful, welcoming, dog friendly. Canāt wait to return! - An exceptionally gorgeous, property with a very luxurious bed.We absolutely loved the gardens, the property and the hosts. Very welcoming, really dog friendly (lovely, secure garden where our dog could play), very clean and comfortable. My husband is a keen birdwatcher and this location is great for accessing local bird reserves. We canāt wait to return for a longer stay. Nothing
- Priya (9/5): Brilliant stay, we look forward to returning - Beautiful property. Very spacious and was equipped with everything you could possibly need. The outdoor space was brilliant.
The hosts were usually a message away. We informed them we were vegan and they left some lovely vegan truffles for us - a really kind gesture.
The area was incredibly peaceful - just want we needed to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We will definitely be returning. Lots of insects, though this was to be expected given the hot/muggy weather. However, we did find one too many spiders than desirable.
The front door was quite stiff and perhaps needs looking at.
- Joanne (10/5): A great stay in a great location - I had a wonderful stay and Sarah couldn't have been more attentive as host. The property was lovely and really well-equipped with everything I could need, and the view was amazing. I would highly recommend.
- Simone (6/5): A lovely location but not the relaxing stay I hoped for - The property is lovely and has great facilities for a little getaway with the dog. The essential foods provided, including eggs from the farm, was a lovely touch. The garden was a great size for the dog to run around in. Nice rural location with local walks, and car charging facilities. I booked this stay for a relaxing holiday with the dog, but was disappointed with how many disturbances there were from the host throughout which made it much less relaxing. The large, enclosed garden was a reason for booking, because my dog is reactive to other dogs and unfortunately the host has a loose dog surrounding the property that kept jumping up at the fence to bark at my dog. The details around the electric car charging were also unclear, as there was a cost for this which wasn't disclosed before the stay and, the charger is not in the allocated parking spaces for the property so I had to move my car every time I charged it and there was no info on this ahead of booking/arriving, which meant I was unable to relax as much as I planned. Also, the lack of blinds/shading over the large window made the upstairs area VERY hot on sunny days, and difficult to sleep despite a sleep mask due to the light coming in.
- Jamie (10/5): Our stay - Lovely place
Clean and tidy Nothing everything was great for our stay
- Chris (10/5): Great property great host -
- Chris (10/5): Perfect -
- Louise (10/5): A beautiful Sumerset hidden gem - Our stay here was exceptional , the hayloft was beautiful , everything we needed was here Sarah and her family were so accommodating and made us feel so welcome ,watching the sunset and sunrise from the bedroom was just stunning ,beano our dog loved this holiday and made a good friend , this is a real hidden gem and we all can't wait to go back There is nothing I would change
- Topsy (10/5): Excellent place to stay, we will definitely be back again! - Excellent communication from the host who contacted us the day before our arrival. Great description on how to find the property. Keys were left in the door for us at time of arrival. Beautiful place to stay, provides everything you need for a short stay. The bed is excellent and everything is clean and finished to a high standard with eye for detail. The host kindly provided some milk and eggs upon arrival. Lovely little log burner with wood provided. Beautiful views and quiet location. Excellent for a short break away. Whilst thereās a lovely private garden to use as part of your stay at the Hayloft, during our stay there was some sort of buzzing noise coming from an electrical pump or other located within the garden, which was rather distracting from the peaceful nature of this idyllic place. As we were mostly away to explore the area, we only sat outside on the first evening and so we didnāt bother to ask the host about the noise or if something could be done about it (I suspect the host wasnāt aware). Just a minor thing really.
- Rachel (10/5): Beautiful Somerset Retreat - The property was stunning, located in beautiful surroundings. The bedroom was spacious and the super king sized bed was very comfortable and a real treat. The shower was lovely and there was plenty of hot water. The sofa was very comfortable and the TV had a great selection of channels. The garden was beautiful and perfectly safe for our dog. The milk, butter, croissants, jam and delicious coffee was a lovely touch. I'd highly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday.
- Antony (10/5): Not a single thing we would change! - Super friendly people. Beautiful building and area. The BEST bed. Honestly, a perfect little getaway! Nothing
- Kirstie (9/5): We loved it, owners were veryhelpful and accommodating - Very spacious and lovely views and loves the open plan
- Richard (8/5): Very good - Abouslute gem of a place! The perfect rural getaway, all the little touches made it a stress free few days and a great location for dog walks with great links to local towns and cities. Would definitely recommend.
- Alexandra (10/5): Iāll definitely be booking again. 5*ās. - This place is gorgeous! Beautifully renovated and a perfect quiet spot with walks from the front door. Nothing - all fabulous.
- Barry (10/5): Exceptional -
- Arsen (10/5): Perfect and lovely people - Everything was brilliant 10/10
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional property with lovely decor, views and privacy. - We had a fantastic two night break staying at The Hayloft. The property is freshly renovated with a lovely peaceful private outlook with a beautiful view of fields. The patio area and fenced garden were great as we were travelling with our dog.
The decor is modern and cosy - perfect for two. Sarah was great at communicating about finding the property and arrival arrangements. The little touches were most appreciated, such as butter, granola and dog biscuits. It was exceptional all round. We would like to stay again in the future. Thank you It was all excellent.
- Jacqueline (8/5): A lovely cosy stay to visit relatives. - Sarah was exceptionally helpful and kind. The property was clean well equipped, and very comfortable. A perfect location for us to visit family. Plenty of hot water to shower and nice touches like the food items and christmas tree. The view from the bedroom of the countryside was beautiful. The weather turned very cold with frost and snow. As the mezzanine bedroom relies on the underfloor heating and log burner on the ground floor we did find that we were cold in the bedroom in the mornings. Sarah very kindly lit the log burner and provided more logs while we were out during the day; but it would not stay in overnight.
- Melissa (10/5): Highly recommend this idyllic spot. - Beautiful location. The views amazing. Quiet. Wonderful enclosed garden for our dog. Already booked to go back again. Oh and the bed was huge and so comfortable. Nothing
- Linda (10/5): Such a very special place. - Beautiful location, beautiful property, just perfect!
Sarah was incredibly welcoming from the moment I made the booking and throughout our stay, and gave us lots of tips on where to eat, local pubs, and walks. If you're looking for peace and tranquillity, somewhere a little quirky and very stylish, then this is definitely the place for you. It's a gorgeous dwelling in the middle of the countryside and very easy to get to other nearby places like Ham Hill, Langport, and Glastonbury. A stunning property and perfect in every way. We can't wait to go back! Thank you!
