• Santina (10/5): - The cabin was clean and cozy. The food was great! We really appreciated not having to drive around for food options. Breakfast was delicious, filling and a great mix of fruit, traditional breakfast and a vegetarian option. All the staff were so nice and attentive.
• Maike (9/5): Tolle Unterbringung in einer eigenen Hütte mitten im Wald - Die Lodge liegt mitten im Wald weitab vom eigentlichen Ort. Die einzelnen Häuschen stehen verteilt im Wald, sodass jeder Gast seinen eigenen Bereich hat und die Möglichkeit, vor der Hütte auf einer kleinen Terasse zu sitzen und z. B. die Sterne zu sehen. Jede Hütte hat ein eigenes Bad, das sehr gut ausgestattet ist und die Hütte hat 2 Räume inklusive Kühlschrank. Das Haupthaus ist von keiner der Hütte weit entfernt, dort wird ein sehr gutes Frühstück serviert und am Abend dient der Raum als Restaurant, sodass man nicht unbedingt anderswo Essen muss. Alles in allem hatten wir bei dieser Unterkunft nichts auszusetzen.

• TAKAAKI (8/5): 可愛いロッジ - 朝7時に宿を出発すると言ったら持ち帰り用の朝ご飯を準備してもらえた！朝食はフルーツもついていてすごく美味しかった！スタッフがフレンドリー。外に焚き火があるので他の宿泊者とコミュニケーションが取れる。部屋の中も可愛い！ 寝返りをうつとベッドが揺れる。部屋にドライヤーが置いてなかった。
• Estelle (6/5): Well situated and comfortable - Red Bay Lodge is very well located - only 10 mns walk to the beach. We stayed there for a week and found the staff amazing and overall the atmosphere is very pleasant. There’s a fire every night and some live music sometimes - but it ends early enough to get a good night of sleep. Breakfast is very tasty with lots of fresh fruits, eggs, and whatever you could want, all homemade. The cabins are very comfortable, and I loved that we had our own patio. I also appreciated that we could park our car right behind the cabin for easy access. I did find that the cabins were not very clean. I know it’s meant to be rustic, but the floor had definitely not been cleaned before we got in, and the sheets had some sand/dirt in it as well as soon as we arrived. The bathroom was okay, but I am overall not too sure about the quality of the cleaning before hand. We did love our stay but I wanted to point it out because I think it’s something that could be easily remedied with a better and more thorough cleaning crew.

• Robert (10/5): - Stayed in a cozy cabin that was fresh and clean. The bathroom was surprisingly good for a cabin. Staff were very friendly and helpful. There was an excellent buffet breakfast. We ate at the lodge restaurant for dinner and were very impressed. Superb burgers and fish and chips. Highly recommend staying here.

• Andrew (10/5): - We enjoyed our stay and especially enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. Breakfast was amazing and the facility was very clean and the food was hot always. I wish maybe the lounge was open a little later maybe until 10, but I understand that there are children staying there, and I believe the lodges respecting the families who like to go to bed early. All in all we loved our stay and can’t say enough. Maybe if there was an air conditioner in our cabin, that would be the only thing that would make it 10+ out of 10.

The only problem was the air conditioner because it’s so hotduring th - The staffs were so accommodating and great especially when checking in and during breakfast. The room doesn’t have an aircon especially this time that the weather is hot, it should have an air conditioner not electric fan which was so noisy. During early morning was okay because it’s a little bit cooler already. But aside from that, everything is commendable!
• Jennifer (10/5): - Red Bay Lodge has comfy clean little cabins complete with updated efficient bathrooms. It was very quiet while we slept and the buffet style breakfast had a variety of delicious items. The staff were extremely hospitable and kind. I recommend Reb Bay Lodge for a getaway in cottage country by Lake Huron. It was perfect for us for one night when travelling back from Manitoulin Island. The communication from the lodge was also excellent to make sure they were at the office when we therearrived later at night.

Things that might matter to some: as already mentioned in other reviews - no AC, but there were 2 fans; water pressure was on the low side, but not dramatically. so I thought it was strange that there wasn't even a single hook somewhere on the door to hang up clothes. Also, would've been nice to have a night light as the only option was the bright overhead light or none at all. Everything else is beautiful, staff lovely and friendly. Wish I could upload a video.

• Tim (10/5): - Overall very serene cabin in the woods atmosphere. Night view of the sky is amazing. Had a fire pit right in front of our cabin for a nice bonfire. Parking was right by the cabin, very convenient. The grounds also had a volleyball court and a play area for kids. Staff were friendly and helpful. Included breakfast very good. Overall condition of the cabin was good. Clean. Shower stall was a bit creaky and felt flimsy, but works overall. Would be nice to have a few clothing hooks installed in the cabin so we can hang our clothes. Definitely would visit again.

• Michael (10/5): - We enjoyed our cozy cabin and a wonderful dinner on the patio at the main lodge, both of which were dog friendly. If you are going for the nearby beaches, best to drive down towards Sauble.
• Todd (10/5): - My wife and I stayed 4 nights. The staff and owners are very friendly. The Cabins are small and cozy but the owner updated them recently making the bathrooms larger and more modern. The cabins have a small refrigerator (larger than most hotels) and there is microwave in the common area of the hotel they allowed us to use to warm things. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The complimentary breakfast was very good and they open the restaurant for dinner every night and for lunch on the weekends. They are pet friendly and there is a nice 15 minute walk to a beach with a pier that my wife and I watched the sunset from on a couple of occasions. They have live music on all or most evenings evenings as well and comedy acts. I was pleasantly surprised and would definitely go back if traveling in the area again.

• Graham (10/5): - Loved the ambience and the proximity to the lake for viewing stars at night. Only note is that there is no air conditioning in the cabin rooms, and it can be warm in the summer
• Sonia (10/5): Fun weekend away with friends and our dogs - Breakfast was great - choice of shakshuka or traditional Canadian breakfast: eggs, bacon, sausage, toast, pancakes, etc. Room was extremely clean. I believe they said it has all been renovated in the past few years. The bathroom looked new, eveyrthing worked (hot water, fridge, fans), no window leaks (air or bugs). Location was close to Lion Head hiking and about 1 hour away from Tobermory / Bruce Peninsula. There is also a short walk to a public beach access across the street. Staff was friendly and welcoming for check in and at the restaurant. Firepit was great at night with friends and to meet others staying on property. There was also live music until 11pm on Saturday. Wifi was pretty strong and could get through some work emails or watch a video. Also, it is one of the few dog friendly properties, which is a major reason we chose to stay here. There were about 5+ dogs that overlapped our stay but everyone was respectful and gave space. Nothing comes to mind. We had a great time.

• Annice (8/5): A great spot for families - Beautiful setting, lovely cabins, a welcoming atmosphere, and staff who made every effort to overcome small glitches that arose. Bedside reading lights would add to comfort. Clear labels on the cabins would help when multiples are rented.
