- Susan (9/5): We had a great time staying in this lovely house. - Scoresby Quarters is clean, comfortable and has everything required for a comfortable stay.
- Shutt (4/5): Pretty disappointing - Very helpful and friendly owners, replying to any queries very quickly. Bad location, but close to town, scruffy on the outside and not very appealing to the eye, inside was the same, laminate flooring throughout was ready to be ripped out and replaced, sofa and rug not very clean, only one TV in the living room, none in bedrooms, very basic and not very homely, terrible parking front and rear, photos of property pretty misleading and outdated. One of the beds in the attic was damaged when we arrived, I made the owners aware and they offered to send someone to fix it straight away which was really good. Very friendly and helpful people just not for us.
- Jill Rachel (4/5): -

- Nicola (8/5): - Location, everything you needed was included. Parking
- Tracey (8/5): - v.clean. quiet. Comfortable. The steep hill to the town should be mentioned. A member of my group had to use taxi's .

- Mary (9/5): Friends weekend away - Beautiful decor and comfortable bedrooms. We had the whole house, which was only ten minutes walk into the town, where we had most of our meals. Fish and chips, breakfasts Sunday lunch and tea and cake in the afternoon. The Coop was conveniently placed on our way back from the town to call in for fresh produce for our evening meal that we prepared in the well equipped kitchen. There was plenty to do despite the rain all day on the Saturday we stayed in the town all day The stairs are very steep and narrow into the attic room. Be prepared to make a few trips up and down to carry bags etc one at a time as you need a free hand to hold onto the bannister
- James (5/5): -
- Linda (7/5): I thought two toilet rolls and perhaps tea/coffee would have been complimentary along with towels - Location was great Smell of damp in living room which did subside when heating was turned up however kitchen and bathroom were permanently freezing

- Baxter (9/5): Quick weekend in Whitby. We have been on the go for about Six weeks now from Australia. This house is well set up and ex - The accomodation was spotless and well set up for our stay. The kitchen has everything you need for your stay.
The lounge and bedrooms are well set up and everything works well.
Oh and great location with a short walk to shops and cafe or the centre of town. Nothing everything worked and we had a great time.
- Wendy (10/5): -
- Tracy (10/5): - It was a lovely home and comfy Very small garden
- Nadine (6/5): - The house was lovley and clean. Need more bins. And parking is first come so difficult at times. It's close to town but a really steep walk.
- Renata (8/5): - Great location
- Louise (7/5): - The location is great. It's a short walk into Whitby. The house is clean and well equipped. The house smelt very much of damp. The bed in the largest bedroom was a double and could really take a king.
- Melanie (8/5): Great place to stay đđ - Clean and well equipped. Nice decor! Good location! In walking distance from centre Parking wasnât always easy, had to park a few streets away but was ok
- Fran (5/5): - Location was great Cobwebs in living room, just needs better cleaning
- Joanne (7/5): Family - Lovely location, short walk to the town centre. We were disappointed by the strong smell of damp in the house, which made it feel less welcoming. The rug in the lounge had a strong dog odour. Parking was quite tricky, so we tried to avoid using the car during our stay.
- Lydia (8/5): A thoroughly enjoyable week with my family in a great location with plenty to do and see. - Great location walking distance from Whitby town and harbour.
Clean and comfortable It was a bit damp and musty on arrival but opening all the windows helped.
- Rob (9/5): - Property was clean and tidy.
Everything there to make it a great stay with family.. Noisy seagulls đ
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional - Clean and comfortable short walk into the harbour , good value for money
- Jayne (7/5): Nice accommodation but feel it could be better for a deep clean as although it is dog friendly I felt there was a defini - Good location, dog friendly, well equipped The crockery, cups and pans were not very clean, had to wash them before use. Also the table mats were grubby and the ones in the cupboard were mouldy
- Leanne (10/5): Excellent, family and dog friendly stay! - Lovely house, really clean and well equipped.
House is so spacious & was plenty big enough for our family.
Dog friendly and within walking distance from whitby centre.
Free parking is a big plus and plenty of parking was available during our stay.
Will definitely look to book again, thank you so much for a lovely stay!
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - The property had everything we needed and was very clean, It was close to all amenities.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional - Facilities, tv and kettle great and up to date, wifi provided, bedding and beds very nice and crisp looking, very boudour, great decor, no issues parkin at any time Garden little small and doesnt get the sun, but was still nice to be able to sit out and listen to the seagulls,
- Thomas (8/5): Great location, very clean and comfortable. - The location is excellent for a stay in Whitby. Itâs literally a two minute walk into the town centre. Itâs a very comfortable property to stay in and was a good base for our trip. The hosts were very accommodating and replied very promptly with any questions. The property was also very clean. The property itself inside requires updating. Itâs only cosmetic but it is tired in places.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Hsd a grest time - Everything was great and suited us 6 lads perfectly Bog brush didnt easily come out of the pot leaving it difficult to clean the toilet after everyones morning constitutionals
- Elisha (9/5): Lovely house in a great location!! - The property was in a great area with a 10 min walk to the centre! Free parking on the street, we stayed Easter weekend and it was very busy but we managed to park 3 cars :) The house was clean and the bedrooms are a good size! Check in and out was easy :) The only thing is there was no hand soap in the bathroom or by the kitchen sink.
- Lauren (8/5): Ideal for a short break by the seaside - Lovely little house with everything you need for a few days in Whitby with the family. Very close to the centre and on the street parking was very easy to find. While the house is lovely, there were little things that let it down for us during our stay. The letter box was broken when we arrived, hanging off on one side. I understand the odd thing broken but it made the house look very unkempt. The back gate leading out to the bins is extremely difficult to open/close, you have to lift the whole gate off the floor and force it past the guttering which is directly in its path. I really struggled and had to get my partner to do it for me. The main dislike for me was the wooden flooring downstairs, it is very poorly done with large gaps in some places. Thereâs one particular area going into the dining room which my little boy caught his toe in. Anyone staying here with young children should make sure the little ones wear socks/slippers downstairs to avoid any potential injury.
- Selina (10/5): Fabulous for families - Kitchen had everything you need such as cooking utensils, microwave, decent new kettle, fridge, oven, all in good shape. New tea towel, sponge, cloth and bin bags provided which was good. Bathroom in good shape - just be careful with kids as the shower temperature needs to be sorted by an adult before they get in as it is a two tap shower. Lovely bedrooms and living room. TV great, very comfortable to sit in the evening and watch. We really liked the place. We managed to park in the street, fairly tight street but with care you can manoeuvre.
- Urwin (10/5): Exceptional - Scorseby quarters was perfect, clean, spacious, lovely outside seating area , beds were so comfortable, a short walk into Whitby centre we will definitely stay again .
Perfect for couples or a family...
Definitely excided our expectations
- Barry (10/5): Very comfortable - Very comfortable good location for walking down to the town
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Lyndsey (7/5): Great location and a big house! - Excellent location, and a lovely big house for the price. In need of maintenance, evidence of damp in most rooms and duvets were wafer thin, bath looked old and unclean also slugs in the hall, although it is an old house.
- Jane (7/5): Good - The house was warm Didn't like no privacy when in the bathroom as you can see through the glass. Also bath seen better days and wasn't clean. I know it's a old house but we had a slug in the hall way one morning.
- Richard (9/5): Superb - Location, family friendly house
- Jenny (8/5): Great stay, served a purpose x - Property was nice, clean and nicely decorated. No towels! We missed that on the booking
- Sandra (10/5): Very nice highly recommend would go back - Very clean
Everything you need is provided ie iron, pots and pans, kettle 3 clocks none of the didnât work just need new batteries

- Guy (7/5): Good - All whitby Food
- Roger (8/5): Very good -
- Dave (10/5): Exceptional -
- Will (9/5): Perfect location for a wonderful family holiday! - Excellent location, within walking distance of everything Whitby has to offer. Well appointed, and comfortable this holiday cottage made the perfect base for a lovely family holiday!
- Jans (9/5): Superb -
- Steven (7/5): Decent value despite one or two negatives - Good location and decent value for an adequate holiday property In desperate need of some maintenance. Some of the internal joinery was of really poor standards to the point where there were skirting boards actually hanging off the wall. Absence of provided towels was a minor inconvenience and the on street parking was difficult due to demand being so high.
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Lovely accommodation, home from home. Hill was a little too much, with a small child in tow.
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Pauline (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, comfortable, nicely decorated, easy access, private and safe rear patio.safe for our 2 little dogs. Kim is very helpful and freindly. We all enjoyed our stay, and hope to stay here again next year.Loved it.
- Andy (8/5): Very good -
- Mcgregor (9/5): Superb - home was comfortable clean, had all amenities, was very close to town centre. Would definately try and book again if going to whitby. not anything if honest
- Douglas (7/5): Good location, but don't expect too much. - Good location & adequate for our needs. Needs refurbishing urgently, shower temperamental. Was informed there was coffee at the property, only good if you like it in lumps.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional - The house was an uphill walk from town centre
- Joanna (9/5): Lovely stay, we had no problems with parking at all!!! Can definitely recommend - The property was very clean and fresh looking, the sofas were clean and comfortable with plenty of coffee tables and throws should you need them. The kitchen was well equipped, there was nothing we needed that wasnât supplied.
The property was very comfortable to stay in, just like being at home. There was nothing that we could say that we didnt like ,
The only comment I will make is the outside space wasnât really suited to our dogs as they are not used to Astro turf, they wouldnât use it if you know what I mean but in a way that was a good thing as it made us get up extra early to take them out đ
Oh yesâŚâŚ the hill back up from town is a killer!! đŤŁ
- Ann (10/5): Exceptional - Spotlessly clean, warm and very comfortable, owner was great when I spoke to them about a mistake I made, highly recommend. Location great
- Sarah (7/5): Enjoyed a lovely long weekend with family. Everything we needed and very comfortable - Very comfortable and clean A few damp patches
- Lee (7/5): Good -
- Annette (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elaine (10/5): Lovely stay - Close to town
Home from home Only having to come home
- Mechelle (8/5): Pleasant stay. Property in need of some TLC however no complaints. - Location excellent to Whitby. It is on a hill so difficult to walk back from Town, however cabs only cost ÂŁ5. Easy access to local train station and co-op NA
- James (8/5): Highly recommend ! Enjoyed our short break , also not far from town centre, thereâs a fabulous chip shop around the corn - It was really lovely and well presented, decorated and furnishings were of a high standard, bed extremely comfortable, we will be back ! Nothing not to like , it was home from home
- June (8/5): Excellent short break - Great location
Clean home
Well equipped facilities The beds were small doubles unfortunately
- Donna (10/5): Exceptional - Loved location of this place and having on street parking was bonus ...it's so cozy and had everything we needed ..it's a nice walk into town ..five, ten minutes ...we had two girls with us and they ended up in the attic room together for first two nights even though we had three rooms as it was so cool ...my daughter left her charger in the room and Kim posted it back up to Scotland for us â¤ď¸. Would 100 percent recommend xx
- Watson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Holmes (8/5): Very good -
- Andy (9/5): Excellent value for money and a great location - Location Parking
- Jeanette (4/5): Memorable, lots of great places to visit in Whitby and the surrounding area. - Location, 10 min into Whitby centre although up hill on the way back. Parking was difficult after days out. Property was damp particularly hall way on entrance and dining area. The 2 double beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable.
- Philip (10/5): It was a week of complete idyllic bliss. - It was close to centre of Whitby.I was able to park close by. Also had wifi, overall it was the best place i have stayed in Whitby. There was nothing i didn't like about it.
- Mark (6/5): Good location, good sized bedrooms and the property was clean. - It was only a 5 minute walk to the centre. We couldnât open the lock box to get the keys out, took us 10 mins also struggled to open it to put them back in when we were leaving. There were no towels provided as we were promised.
- Kel (6/5): Perfect location and comfortable, but needs an upgrade and some maintenance. - The location is fantastic! Walking distance from the Main Street and east to get to.
It was nice to have tea and coffee provided and was equipped for a stay with a baby (high chair and cot). The owner was lovely and very attentive to our request for help with the bed. Sadly, there was a horrible smell through out the property which I think could have come from the water damage (rising damp mould) all through the house. Additionally we had to wash nearly everything we used from the kitchen as it wasnât clean; even the sugar provided for tea and coffee was mucky with bits from previous occupants. It was also frustrating that towels werenât provided. We came from Australia, so it was challenging to find towels given they werenât provided.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Aneta (9/5): excellent - nice property n/a
- Kathleen (8/5): A great base but be ready for the hill! - parking was good
nicely decorated bed base broke in front bedroom
no storage in kitchen for food
no room for us all to sit in lounge
- Ross (8/5): Very good -
- Rhiannon (10/5): Exceptional - Gorgeous holiday home, around a 10 minute walk into the centre of Whitby. Very clean and well decorated. On street parking on a very tight street, but always managed to park either out the front or round the back of the house. Would definitely stay again. Nothing.
- Glynis (8/5): would definitely recommend this property for location, and hope to re-visit one day - very clean and amenable for the whole family, quiet and easy to park. the only issue (which was a small one for us) one of the double beds (in the smaller room) has a large dint in the bed base causing the feeling of rolling out.
we moved upstair and had very good nights sleeps.
