Guest Reviews
- Christoph (9/5): - Nett eingerichtete Wohnung mit guter Lage um die Gegend zu erkunden.
Die Wohnung war sauber und das kleine Ladencafe hat eine schöne Auswahl an Lebensmittel.
- ann (9/5): Great Location for Sithians Show - Location for the Sithians Show
Comfy Beds
nice size Bathroom
Very Hot rooms on a hot day
Kitchen facilities Main windows were all floor level , opening on to a roof
Not suitable for young children or dogs to let air in , maybe invest in some gates , as it was so warm in the living area , Dogs were kept in the kitchen, with the door open onto the court yard .
- Rachel (10/5): Superb. Count fault it, - Really lovely cottage and proximity to shop was total bonus. Some lovely walks nearby. Clean and had everything we needed. Nice garden with retractable clothes line. Nothing
- Sharnie (10/5): Perfect relaxing cottage - Very nicely decorated cosy cottage, easy to find. Everything is clean. Very happy to find milk in the fridge to make a tea as arrived quite late didn’t go to the shop.
- Christopher (8/5): It was a lovely cosy cottage with a village shop next door which was very convenient! - It was a lovely cosy cottage with a village shop next door which was very convenient! The shower didn’t work, nor did the bath plug so we were unable to wash.
- Christopher Joseph (10/5): Overall the stay was great. I came with my dad and he was really pleased as well. - It was very well located. Not far off from the train station and close to the university that I went to visit. A lot of shops nearby and a very lovely restaurant as well. The one little hiccup was how slanted the roof was in the bathroom. It had caution tape on it but sometimes when you wake up to go toilet, you don't really focus on that and bang your head. I'm 6 foot 6 and it was hard to not bang my head on it.
- Gardiner (9/5): -
- Beth (10/5): Excellent - Easy access, warm, clean and cosy plus good value for money
- Denis (10/5): A perfect start to our family reunion - Lovely warm welcome. Very comfy beds and location was ideal. Will definitely book again. Setting perfect, especially for the cocktails and curries!! Nothing
- Carl (9/5): -
- Irene (10/5): La tua casa in Cornovaglia - Cottage davvero bellissimo! Accogliente, pulito con tutto ciò di cui puoi aver bisogno. Burro e dolci per la colazione come sorpresa di benvenuto. Assolutamente niente
- Kristine (10/5): I came to say farewell to my daughter as I was taking her to Falmouth University. This is an ideal place to stay if you’ - Charming little cottage with its own shop attached, set amidst the stunning Cornish countryside. A cosy pub is just nearby, and the warm, welcoming atmosphere makes it the perfect place to feel right at home. N/a
- Nina (10/5): -
- Lianne (10/5): Fantastic! - Great location and easy parking. Secure garden for dog. Spacious feel. Nothing
- Giulia (8/5): -
- marta (9/5): -
- Christina (9/5): Lovely, cosy cottage, great location. - Delightful cottage. Spacious layout, perfect for our little Cornish getaway. Clean, cosy, comfortable. Very useful to have the shop next door! Lovely village, with beautiful nature reserve at the top of the hill. Great for a dog. Would be good to have a few more plates…
- Carl (9/5): Clean and comfortable cottage. Good location - Clean and comfortable cottage. Good location Nothing
- Kelz (10/5): Perfect little getaway - A quaint, perfect little cottage for a relaxing stay.
- Suet (8/5): A pleasant and comfortable stay with a few minor drawbacks. - It’s clean and comfortable, with fairly good facilities, although the tap was dripping. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The garden is quite small, and unfortunately, the nearby pub we wanted to try was closed, which was w bit of a disappointment. The location is decent— about 15-20 minutes drive to the town center.
- Curnow (9/5): Superb - No toilet roll or towels but was quickly rectified
- Darren (9/5): Cosy cottage ideal for visiting uni students - Great location, especially anyone visiting family at Penryn campus (Falmouth uni) a quiet little cottage with loads of room inside. Lovely welcome basket of cornish milk, butter and cake. Also tea and coffee so you can have a brew as soon as you get in! The attached shop does most thinks you need including hot food! A couple little issues nothing terrible
- Ann (9/5): Superb - Clean and cosy
- Chris (8/5): Overall it was a great stay and we would definitely stay there again. - Great location.
Plenty of room. Noise from the shop below.
Dripping kitchen tap.
No tea towel in the kitchen.
- Justin (9/5): An excellent dog-friendly location. I would have been happy to have stayed longer. - The accommodation was bigger than expected and had a very welcoming atmosphere
- Anna (10/5): Would love to come back again! - Nice and cosy little but spacious cottage located in a picturesque village. There's everything that you need for a short or long stay. Was lovely to find a welcome pack of bread, milk and cornish shortbread ect.on our arrival, thank you! Good communication with the host.
- Jodi (10/5): Great short stay - Very clean and had everything we needed. Host was very friendly and property was easy to access
- Matthew (9/5): Superb -
- Charlie (8/5): Very good -
- Will (8/5): very comfortable - Location and comfort
- Pete (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! The cottage was lovely the hosts were fantastic, friendly and really welcoming. Great food nearby. Great place for a walk too. It was all brilliant
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - It's a lovely, clean and well positioned cottage. Thanks for the milk and snacks too. I couldn't have a bath as the plug doesn't allow filling a bath which was disappointing.
- Wendy (10/5): Flying visit. Wish we could stay longer. - Homely, well equipped, perfect for the dogs with the enclosed patio and stair gates too. Great welcome pack much appreciated. Gorgeous shop next door. Ideal for our 1 night stay visiting daughter who is at Falmouth uni. Would stay again!
- Giles (10/5): Wonderful stay, near enough to Falmouth to be convenient, but far enough out there be peaceful. - Great location, village shop next door with loads of fresh food and Cornish treats. Everyone we met in Ponsanooth was really friendly and welcoming. I would definitely stay there again . Nothing, it was perfect for us
- Evans (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katy (8/5): Nice welcome package and handy location - I thought they left a very generous gift basket of cake/biscuits/coffee considering we were just there for one night. It was very good value in general.
- Abhirupa (10/5): A lovely home away from home - Extremely cosy and qaint little cottage in a beautiful village. Everything inside is spic and span, and we found whatever we needed for a 5-day long stay. Really appreciate the welcome basket (snacks and prosecco). There was some milk, cheese and butter provided in the fridge. The pantry was well stocked with tea, coffee, salt, pepper, cooking oil and some condiments too. I couldn't find the hairdryer, so I messaged the host about it pretty late in the evening and they had one sent over in 5 minutes - really appreciated the prompt response :) We were a group of 4 (average height) adults, so two of us were on the bunk beds which were quite comfy tbh. We had a lovely stay. Nothing that we didn't like...we just couldn't find the barbecue that's listed as an amenity. However, it was no bother coz we just bought a disposable one and had a fun barbecue sesh outside in the private patio :)
- Harvey (9/5): Really enjoyed it, would stay again. - Lovely friendly hosts, well equipped comfortable cottage. Completely dog friendly. A little noisy.
- Hannan (10/5): Simply The BEST, Better Than REST ! - Simply The BEST, Better Than REST, No Need To TEST Anywhere Else !
Super Comfy Beds, It Say’s Exactly What it Says in The Description ‘Cosy’
Location Was Brilliant, Post Office & Newsagent Just Below Us Less Than 1 Minute Walk, McDonalds, Aldi, Sainsbury’s, Texaco & Esso Fuel Station Nearby, Our Best Ever 2 Nights We Spent in Cornwall, Absolutely Phenomenal Brilliant Place To Stay, No Doubt, No Problems, No Issues, I’m Definitely Coming Here Again if The Room is Available When I Come To Cornwall. Overall Experience is 9.5/10. Just Need to Put Bathroom Door Locks. Everything is Just Perfect.
Free Parking, Free WiFi, Beautiful Holiday Home Willow Cottage, Friendly Area & People, Amazing Location, Peaceful and Quiet, Everything is Local, The Best Stays We’ve Ever Had.
The Host Was Very Helpful, Brilliant, Excellent Communication Throughout. Just The Bathroom Door Lock Wasn’t There
- Jenny (7/5): Despite highlighting the problems above, except for the thin walls nothing else was significant enough to spoil our visi - Good location, parking and plenty of space, although this is on one of the neighbours property. We just spoke to him and he didn’t seem to have a problem,. The kitchen foil etc in the kitchen was a lovely surprise and really helped prevent a lot of extra washing up as there is no dishwasher, and I had forgotten ours. There was a gift of Prosecco, biscuits, butter and cakes when we arrived which was a lovely touch. We never had an issue with hot water and Netflicks is available in the lounge. The walls between the property and the shop it is attached to are very thin. Sometimes people may as well have been in the room with you. A TV needs to be put downstairs in the kitchen/dinning area to make it a more sociable area, I found myself often cooking downstairs while everybody else was upstairs. The kitchen drawers, skirting and underneath cabinets needs to be cleaned more regularly, they were very dusty and objects left behind. The grass outside needs to be cut, our dog is fairly small and refused to go on it as it was higher than she was. The same area is where the patio furniture is located and is very small space that is not flat, it would be a bit dangerous to have two young children and sit outside to eat. There also isn’t enough seating in the lounge for more than two people. WiFi can be hit and miss at certain spots around the cottage, I had to do some work and I found that the evenings when the shop is closed caused me fewer problems.
- Renata (10/5): Large, quite and well equipped house. - Kind welcome pack (cookies, milk, butter), large, quite and well equipped house with parking. Everything is in the kitchen to cook a meal. Pleasant smell in the house :) Ideal for 4 for long stay too. Nice tiny garden :) The beds are very comfortables. Ideal location to visit Cornwall.
- Andy (9/5): Fantastic cottage with everything we needed - Very friendly owners, who made us feel very welcome and the "test" homemade wood fired stonebaked pizza on the Friday night was amazing! The cottage had everything we needed and was beautifully clean. The location was perfect as the place we were attending a family wedding was only 20 minutes away. It was also great to be able to take a morning walk up the lane from the cottage to the Kennall Valley Nature Reserve which is a really interesting place and well worth a visit, The mini plastic ironing board did make re-ironing the wedding clothes a little challenging, but apart from that everything else was perfect😀!
- Anna (10/5): Cozy and comfortable. - Willow Cottage is a well-equipped, cozy and comfortable property ideally situated for exploring Cornwall.
While we encountered a few minor issues at the beginning of our stay, the property owners were incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to resolve them promptly. Their kindness and efficiency made a significant difference to our overall experience.
The cottage is ideally located for exploring Cornwall's stunning coastline and countryside. We would definitely recommend Willow Cottage to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Cornwall.
- Andy (7/5): Good - Great location. Nicely decorated. Friendly owner. Lacks basic equipment and facilities.
- Rosemary (8/5): Everything you require provided in a property in good location - The 'Welcome Pack' left for us. The kitchen equipment. The jigsaw. The table and chairs in the garden, The decor. The toilet seat! It was in a village but close to Falmouth. Within walking distance of a pub.
- Charlotte (10/5): Great base for a trip to Cornwall - Lovely property with everything we needed for our stay. Really handy being attached to the (exceptionally well-stocked) general store, and a very warm welcome from the property owners. Finding things to dislike at this property would be nitpicking, we had a lovely time.
- Veronika (9/5): Superb -
- Skatia91 (9/5): Superb stay - A lovely and cosy cottage - spacious, well-equipped, clean, and comfortable. Check-in instructions were clear. We also appreciated the thoughtful touch with the local specialties left for us. Not much, really. The only downside was the noise from next door, possibly due to some work being done - even though it was Saturday morning.
- Wen (10/5): LOVELY ENJOYED - the breakfast was super yum, and the place was beautiful! NO IT WAS GREAT.
- Lee (8/5): Very nice accommodation ideal for what we needed. - All of property clean and well equipped Nothing to report here. All good.
- Anne (10/5): Exceptional - The cottage was cosy and supplied with everything you could possibly need for a short stay. The welcome pack was very generous and a lovely surprise when we arrived late at night and could make a cup of tea and enjoy the goodies.
- Avrilb (10/5): Great Holiday. - Very comfortable & warm accommodation. Lovely welcome pack.
Very convenient that accommodation is attached to wonderful village stores.
- John (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanna (10/5): Willow Cottage is a lovely place to stay! - Willow Cottage was a lovely place to stay. It is extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean, with everything you could want to make your stay enjoyable. I particularly liked how lovely and bright every room was and that the garden is fully enclosed so we could relax when our dogs were outside.
The information pack was very useful, and the welcome basket was a lovely surprise!
It is comforting to know the hosts (Michelle and Vaughan) are there if you need them, but also that they are respectful of how your holiday or time away is precious and give you complete privacy!

- Geoff (9/5): A very pleasant stay - the best on our travel thus far - Everything including the yummy treats Our friends sleeping on the bunk beds should be for kids and not adults as they knocked their head on the top bunk
- Dan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Natalie (10/5): Lovely accommodation, great location. - Well furnished, very clean, well equipped, well located. Nothing actually
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - A fantastic property in a beautiful location. The scones, jam and clotted cream were delicious and the garden was fantastic for our dog.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional - The pictures don't do this cottage justice (taken at night I think) as it is so bright and cosy. A welcome pack was left which was so generous including a whole carrot cake and Easter treats as well as eggs, milk, bread and butter - much appreciated! So well equipped especially for those with young children (toys, books, high chair) and there was a lovely play park a minute walk away. It was a great location to visit St Ives and surrounding area. . The village shop next door was handy, seemed to have everything you might need, and there's a pub that serves food in the village but we didn't get the chance to go. Parking was convenient in the road outside of the cottage. There was a good range of games and we really enjoyed playing jenga each night. The beds are so comfy, had the best nights sleep. We had a wonderful stay and wouldn't hesitate to book again. The low beams, bumped our heads once each!
- Fran (10/5): Exceptional - Willow Cottage was perfect for our stay. We spent a few days in the local area ahead of my daughter starting at Falmouth University (Penryn campus) in September. The Cottage was exceptionally clean, the beds incredibly comfy, the location very convenient and beautiful. The Cottage was very well equipped and everything had been thought of, a washer and dryer are available if needed, a well kept private garden with BBQ and parking was easy. The cottage is next door to a very reasonably priced village store to buy any essentials however these had all been supplied. Washing up liquid, tea and coffee, hand-wash milk, butter, eggs etc were all included as was a thoughtful welcome basket with fresh bread, hot cross buns and local jam! I have no doubt I will be back several times in the next 3 years. Would recommend to anyone.
- Shirley (9/5): Superb -

WE CAN CONFIDENTLY SAY NOTHING
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hayley (10/5): Wonderful, pet friendly, quaint, Cornish cottage with superb owners. - We have just arrived home after a 2 night break staying at Willow cottage with our 3 border terriers. We will most definitely be back. The hosts are amazing, attention to detail is second to none. There has been so much thought put into making this cottage as comfortable as possible by the owners. Everything has been thought of, the facilities are wonderful, spotless accommodation, lovely location, with a village store only a few steps away from the property, ran by the cottage owners. Nothing was too much trouble. We were only there for 2 nights and the owners had even put a real Christmas tree up in the lounge, what a wonderful surprise on opening the cosy lounge door. Not to forget the most appreciated welcome pack, containing fresh sour dough bread, jam, sweet treats, fudge, milk, butter and eggs in the fridge. Thank-you for such a lovely stay. Mr & Mrs Chiles, Smudge, Teddy & Otis xx Absolutely nothing to dislike!
- Jade (10/5): Perfect home from home - A true home from home with everything you could possibly need and more! There was nothing about my stay that wasn't exceptional other than it was over too quickly!
- Ellen (10/5): Absolutely perfect! - We absolutely loved our stay, everything had been thought of & there was a lovely tray of goodies when we arrived.
Really easy to collect the keys and the hosts were lovely when contacted.
Exceptionally clean, a home away from home.
We will be back next year! Nothing! Honestly can’t think of a thing.
- Nadine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (10/5): Wonderful! Cosy, fully-resourced hidden gem - The location was excellent. The property was extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean with every need anticipated. Couldn't fault any aspect of it. The welcome pack and bottle of milk was much appreciated after such a long drive. Although we stayed for only 2 nights it felt as though the hosts had put alot of thought and effort into making it a 'special' stay. It was our best short stay, combination of quality and value for money to date! We would probably return to the area for the accommodation alone! This is being really picky (we liked everything) but despite the warning tape on the eaves in the bathroom I still managed to bang my head on more than one occasion.
