• John (1/5): Complete and total rubbish - I did not like anything this disgusting place had to offer. They're service is horrible. Firstly they have overbooked their rooms without informing their clients who have had an existing booking, no professionality whatsoever. There's a lady by the name of Daisy who is rude, incompetent and is totally ignorant to the fact that they have charged me for a room and when i reach their place i then get told that all the rooms have been booked out for a party. Nothing was said before this and this left me in a position where i did not have a place to stay for the night leaving me stranded at 11pm. This was on Saturday the 27th September. I was then told that I will be refunded but Daisy the incompetent host refuses to do my refund giving me excuses about their networks being down. Its been 5 whole days later and she decides to ignore my messages and proceed to switch her phone off

• jabulane (1/5): The place lack basic things like soap holder in the shower, we didn't know where to place the soap. - Nothing I didn’t like the fact that you advertise the as having all facilities, but none eg TV, curtains were not properly closing, a person outside could watch.

• Madolo (6/5): Great stay! - The space was really nice and clean. Friendly staff too! We also liked that there was free Wi-Fi. Each room should have their own remote for the gate so that you don't have to bother the host with coming and going. Also, since there are no restaurants nearby it would be nice to have access to the kitchen so that guests can make their own food.

• Loraine (4/5): Staff was friendly and helpful. Expected the bathroom and pool to be in a better condition. - The staff was friendly and helpful. The main bedroom's ensuite bathroom shower did not work. The second bathroom was a communal one shared between the other guests in the other two rooms. This bathroom door was broken and could not lock. We had to request a free standing fan as the main bedroom had no aircon or ceiling fan and it was extremely hot. We did not feel comfortable to use the swimming pool as there was a small function held in the room next to the swimming pool.
• Lynne (1/5): Terrible, sleepless night as we feared for our safety, left after one night even though we paid for - Lots of potential, a lovely property but not ready to be used as a guest house. No locks on any doors, shocking. Other people’s clothes in the wardrobes and other people’s toiletries in the bathroom. Breakfast offered on ad, did not happen . False advertising, no tvs in rooms as advertised, no kettles in rooms as advertised… the list goes on ..

• Hyman (1/5): Refund needed poor adverting and unhygenic - Nothing false advertising The advert gave the idea entire family will be in one space. This was not as advertised. But we did not stay at all. A we booked for between 14:00 tp 15;00 and one room was not ready and we were told there is a ill lady in the room she could not leave early. She was still in the room coughing at after 15:00 and we were supposed to wait for this room. But my son could not go stay there? We were told that there is a mosquito and fly pest breakout that is on the news and that we must please understand? Nowhere have we seen or heard of this and our daughter also lives in Benoni. Our daughters did not feel safe to sleep and go to the toilets at night by themselves. There were dogs on the premises that were underfed and disturbing. Main gate was left open so anyone can come in. We had to pay and look for a place until late at night were we could feel safe and rest. Advertised a TV but it is a old box TV... Many disappointing factors.

• Agnieszka (1/5): Disaster, nightmare and nothing like in the offer - Nic Disaster! The worst nightmare. Nothing like the offer. 1- there was no one to open the gate. When we arrived I had to call the hotel which turned out not to be a hotel but just a dilapidated wedding venue. I called the phone number and finally the gardener opened the gate. 2- the door to the room didn't close, the locks were broken. 3- there was no light in the room! 4- the room had a door leading to another room and no door latch. 5- it was also very dirty in the bathroom and around (pool, lawns, etc.). I called the owner (at least I think it was her) several times and she finally sent a housekeeper to my daughter and her partner who stayed at Sun and Stars, when I left. The woman didn't care to come and instead, she just sent her underage child to talk to them. 6- there was no internet and no one informed us about it. The housekeeper knew about it for a week but didn't care. It’s supposed to be hotel close to the Tambo airport. When you have to check a flight, you need internet. 7- my daughter asked the child to take her to her mother. The woman was very rude and my daughter had to beg her for a phone so she could call me. She was passive aggressive and showed her disdain. Maybe she didn’t like white people. 8- I had to come and get my daughter back because of all the mistreatment. When my daughter and her partner told the housekeeper that I was at the gate, she refused to open it and threw them out into the street through some back door. They had to carry their luggage to the car on a dark evening which is dangerous in South Africa. I have never been treated this way. When we were leaving, a white woman came and told us she knew the owner and could pass the information. We told her the whole story and ask for money refund. The owner did not call us or wrote to us and did not give the money back. The place is dangerous and nothing like it’s promised.

• Harold (10/5): Amazing stay, nothing to regret for the money spent - The room was very much spacious, Pool View, happy staff and considerate. Safe parking and quiet area to have a peaceful night and morning. Good we still had access to our vehicle in the after hours and understanding why we never got a gate key probably for security reasons but they always respond to calls anytime if we needed to use the gate. We enjoyed our stay and no disturbances at all and great privacy too. Most of all, the place is neat and gives what the pictures show. Its not much of a big deal but it is something that can always be adjusted. 1. No small trash can if you would need to throw small junk. 2. use of cutlery (you may need to bring your own and/or bowls/standard sized plates)

Room was spacious , clean .Nice neighborhood for long walks, Lovely staff , great company and nice lounging around pool .in winter sun . Cozy atmosphere in a safe neighborhood, Great for rest and relaxation. Thanks for use of self catering facilities.
• Felicia (1/5): It was just a mess,, didn't find what I saw on the photos. - Nothing at all Nothing at all, the don't even provide toilet paper, The place is a family house, you stay on the same house with them, it was just a mess, for you to out is a mission, They lock all the doors, so whenever going out, you must notify them,, Honestly not going back to this place, nometer what, we had to live the same day,, cz it WAs just a mess
• Lucy (2/5): Service very poor and utterly unprofessional - Nothing. We got there 14/06/2024 at 10pm. When we arrived the gate was closed and the intercom was not working. Called the contact number listed under the business contact and the lady said they are fully booked, when I told her that I paid and got a booking confirmation she said she will check with the house keeper and get back to me as there might be a double booking. Like really? We waited for 10 minutes waiting for her to come. Imagine two ladies waiting outside the gate in the dark on a cold winter night in South Africa. She didn't even care about our safety. I don't even understand how their booking system double books didn't make sense to me. Then when she finally arrived we had to wait an extra 20 minutes for them to prepare our room. Totally unprofessional. When we got to our room she didn't even have the decency to show us around or tell us if there was wifi or give us the password. Didn't show us the bathroom, there was supposed to be tea, coffee, sugar and water but there was none just a kettle. She didn't even tell us what time will breakfast will be served or where should we check out since it seemed like they don't even have a reception area. They were even busy making noise all night also in the early hours of the morning. I don't know how did they expect us to sleep. When we made the booking it clearly said there was breakfast included but the next morning everyone who worked there seemed confused when we asked them about our breakfast and told us to call the owner who was nowhere to be found and didn't answer any of our calls after 4 attempts of calling we ended up just leaving. Do not recommend at all. 🚮
