Jeremy (8/5): Hard to beat the location if you want access to this area of Hawaii. - Good location for access to Captain Cook area and specifically Kealakekua Bay. It was nice to have the air conditioner as it was hot and humid at the end of August especially with the tropical storm passing by. It was nice that there were separate rooms so my kids got a break from each other after sharing a hotel room for several days. It was also nice to have laundry access and a well-equipped kitchen for cooking her meals. Certainly isn't the fault of the house, but the mosquitoes were relentless outside. It had been raining because of the tropical storm but we didn't really get to fully utilize the nice yard and patio area because we would be devoured. I'm assuming a different time of year or just less rain would make it more tolerable and probably even peaceful.
