• Laurentiu (10/5): Lovely stay at Villa Del Mar - Very impressee by the huge room, very clean and bed and pillows very confortable. Nice view from the balcony and you can get to the grace bay beach in less than 5minutes. Staff was friendly. Happy that light breakfast was included, which isn’t in the majority of places on TCI. Nothing wrong with the resort

• Kamiel (10/5): Absolutely love Villa Del Mar will definitely return. - Villa Del Mar located within walking distance of the beach, shopping and restaurants. Property is well maintained and on the newer side. The breakfast options were very limited. pastries or tea and coffee daily.
• Michael (8/5): Non acceptable breakfast! - Good location as such, beach access over a street but chairs/umbrellas free at beach. Breakfast was very bad, not acceptable. White Bread, small croissants, some corn flakes, butter, jam in plastic, fresh cheese - that was it. All on plastic plates, fork, spoons. The room prices are high and than that breakfast… Outside Chairs/table very outdated.

• Catrihel (8/5): Beautiful hotel, well located, good value for money - The bedrooms were superb - it was great to have all that space and comfort. The whole place was quiet and peaceful, and I could barely hear other guests while in my room. I also really liked the breakfast: it was simple but super nice (delicious, fresh pastries, bagels, juice, cereals, etc). The staff at reception and at the beach were friendly, polite and helpful. The hotel isn't on the beach but close enough (3-5' walk) - it was a big plus to have so many sunbeds available right next to the sea. The rooms, gardens and pool area were well kept, comfortable, clean and relaxing. After checking out, the staff kindly accepted to look after my luggage and I was allowed to wait by the pool before checking in at my next place. The water from the bath tub came out green every time (I suspect this is excessive copper from the pipes but I can't be sure). After every bath I had, I got rashes on my arms and legs - once I realised it were the baths, I stopped having them. This was my main issue as it's clearly a health hazard. The customer service is limited to breakfast, room maintenance, security and pool side drinks (but they do these very well). No other service is offered to guests. No drinks by the beach or hotel restaurant or food service whatsoever. The hotel staff kindly helped me get taxis but when I asked then how much I should expect to be charged, the taxis always charged me twice as much. I mentioned this but it was shrugged off. I guess it's difficult to avoid in the island. The path to the beach is super short but confusing. It's not obvious which path is public access and is easy to end up going through another resort's private property (accidentally) then be told off by their security staff. It should be made clearer to guests to avoid uncomfortable situations.

Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating with excellent customer service. Nice patio/ deck and it was not a huge resort with tons of kids or noise. Common areas were very clean too. Airconditioning was great! Room itself was a bit outdated and could use some updating for the price. Bathroom smelled a little musty but likely from Sulphur and no fault of the staff. Would be nice if the resort sold snacks or sodas.

• Makayla (10/5): I enjoyed my stay at Villa Del Mar. The rooms where clean and spacious. - I never got a chance to try the breakfast but looking over from my balcony it looked pretty decent. I think the resort could offer food. The tiki bar is fine but you have to leave the resort to eat.

• Anonymous (9/5): Nice Stay - Great property and a very short walk to the beach. The road you cross is very small and it almost feels like you are staying at the beachfront resort. The room was large and clean and the balcony was spacious. The pool area was clean but the hot tub wasn’t heated enough some days and even when it was it seemed to serve as the kiddie pool. Breakfast was fine if you would like a cup of coffee and a decent small croissant. I wouldn’t plan on it being your full breakfast every morning as many reviews have previously stated. I knew that so I wasn’t disappointed. Overall, the stay was great and easily walked to town a few times although we had a rental car. The only issue we really had was noise from above (or next door?). There was what sounded like incessant stomping from 0600 am on despite it not seeming like there was a crowd upstairs or anything. I’m not really sure where the noise was coming from, but it lasted the whole stay. We stayed on the second floor. Otherwise, would recommend!

• Rebecca (8/5): Great value - Go to Tribe for breakfast! - VDM is good value and close to the beach although not on the beach. you cannot see the sea but it only take a few minutes to walk. The breakfast wasn’t good but we found a fantastic bakery/cafe around the corner called Tribe which has the best Croissants I’ve ever tasted. Tribe also do brunch including smashed avocado with eggs and balsamic vinegar. Well worth it each day. you can buy sandwiches for the beach or even organise them to bring a picnic! yummy. The staff weren’t great. Twice we found a member of cleaning staff sleeping in a tiny cupboard outside our room which wasn’t great! Reception staff also weren’t attentive.

The washer/dryer also was very useful to help dry our clothes, as it's so humid it takes awhile to dry naturally. It's also walking distance from a few resorts which have restaurants and a quick drive to all the shops. The beach is absolutely beautiful! The breakfast could use a little more variety - I don't think I'll be able to look at bagels for quite a while!

Our first night in the room it very hard to sleep due to the mold in the room when the AC is on. Spoke with the staff in regards to the mold issue and they have no idea on what I was try to explain too them.

The continental breakfast could have been better, they didn't restock the food as much as I would have hoped
