- Mark (7/5): A magical location in the midst of a quirky and offbeat artistic community. - Beautiful, magical location in Calcata Vecchia. Quirky and unique accommodation - basically a cave house built into the side of the cliff. Lots of unique (and rather eccentric) little shops and restaurants in the old town; plus lots of interesting places to visit (by car) not far away Spa facilities down in the bottom cave of the house - jacuzzi, nice shower, relaxation room Additional spa treatments, massages etc available if required (at extra cost) Christian the owner was extremely friendly, helpful and responsive - Description says "Breakfast is included in the final price." It is not. - Jacuzzi was only available at certain restricted times of the day and was a little temperamental - Christian, the owner, was very helpful in putting things right though - Some of the electrical wiring in the house is quite dodgy (e.g. plug sockets hanging off the wall by a wire) - it really needs repairing - Car park is a long walk up a steep hill from the old town. This is obviously not the fault of the property owner, but if you can't cope with a steep 15-minute hike up hill each morning to collect your car then Calcata is not for you.
