• Andreas Guertler (8/5): - I like the quiet room with garden view, the large bed and spacious room for this category of hotel. Nothing really, you just need to know that you don't see staff as they don't have a reception but a get your key card with a code system.

• Dean (5/5): - The property is very nice and old fashioned. If that’s something you are after this is perfect with a balcony aswell and large sized room. Unfortunately we did come into a few issues with our night here none of the plug sockets worked in the room or lights so we had to charge are phones in the bathroom all night. Light switches didn’t work either also had a plac on the wall stating due to how old the building is there is no lights! Wich I find abit frustrating. Pillow were extremely hard and struggle to sleep on. Location is far out 30-40 min walk from the grand palace so we had to get a taxi.

Het hotel was 25 minuten wandelen vanaf het centrum en er was voor 25 euro een prima parkeergarage bij. Er was wel wat achterstallig onderhoud aan het hotel. Bepaalde plekken (bijvoorbeeld op de spiegel in de kamer) lag heel veel stof. Ik heb €145 euro betaald voor één nacht en dat vind ik naar verhouding toch vrij prijzig.

• André Krouwel (8/5): Very interesting and beautiful place to stay and explore Brussels from! - Very beautiful old mansion (even palace but actually more a mansion......). Wonderful decorations in the hall/rooms, feels really special. Of course, it has the lay-out of a house so the entrance is just a small hallway. When I went down at night for a question, no one was there (logic for a small boutique hotel, but akward stare by a young guy instead of asking what I needed, perhaps a language barrier, my French is not optimal....). Overall all good though!
• Isabelle (6/5): - J’ai reçu un appel avant mon séjour de la part d’un membre du personnel pour confirmer que je comptais bien honorer ma réservation car il semblait qu’il y ait eu un malentendu. J’ai apprécié qu’on me contacte. De même j’ai demandé la facture par mail après coup et je l’ai reçue très vite. Donc j’ai apprécié la réactivité du personnel Il manquait les rideaux occultants à une des fenêtres de ma chambre.

• Attila Botond (10/5): Great place to stay in Brussels! - We found ourselves in a fabulous room at a wonderful hotel. The staff were very friendly, approachable, and helpful. The hotel itself is located in a quiet and beautiful neighborhood, close to everything.
• Barbara (3/5): Schöne Unterkunft, aber extrem hellhörig. Wem Schlaf wichtig ist, könnte ich diese Zimmer nicht empfehlen. - Wunderschön restaurierte Villa, sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Leider sehr, sehr hellhörig. Wir hatten das Pech, dass neben uns eine Gruppe war, welche die ganze Nacht Lärm gemacht hat. An Schlaf nicht zu denken.
• Ahmadzadeh (10/5): We had an amazing stay and I would definitely recommend the spa room. - It is a little oasis in the middle of row houses. The service was outstanding from ?Cais? (the gentleman who took care of our room) was very polite and professional. The spa facilities worked very well and the dimmer in that area is an added bonus. It was unfortunate that there were no slippers, dimmers in the room and one of the twels had a stain on it. It was washed, but the stain had not been removed, it happens and I didn't make too big of a deal out of it.

• Riny (9/5): Heerlijk ruim appartementgevoel - Geweldig mooie kamer, ruim, schoon. Fijne hoekbank. Een grote fijne badkamer, schoon, fijne douche, ruime wastafels. Genoeg ruimte om de spullen op te bergen. Parkeren was ook goed geregeld. Een paar minuten lopen. Iets meer licht en stopcontacten.

They let us leave our luggage in the hotel before check in - it wasnt locked though so we were also a bit nervous leaving it but in the end nothing happened to the luggage. The interior was beautiful, it has old school royal vibes. Everything was clean. The place was also close to metro, bus and tram. There was also the bus going to airport - very convienient. There was also a fridge, free 2x tea bags and 2x coffee and a kettle. It took a while for the water to be hot. There was no elevator. We could also easily hear the other rooms when we were in the corridor.

• Maria Gabriela (10/5): super recommended if you want to feel like somebody from the royalty :)... Thanks hotel Maitre! - we loved the room!....it was a trip to the past!....so nice decorated. We felt like in a castle :). The room has very spacious and super comfortable bathroom with all what you need. Having the pleasure to have a coffee and tea and our room was lovely. We also appreciated that we were allowed to check-in at 1pm. We left our things and start exploring the city. I would strongly recommend the biggest room for a family of 3 (like us). The common areas are also great (a living room and dining room when you can rest and prepare another tea, and also a well equiped kitchen with a refrigerator (we did not used it but for longer stays will be very valuable) Thanks hotel Maitre for the wonderful stay! everything was great!

• Laurence (7/5): Bon hôtel proche du botanique - Personnel très sympathique. Le salon est sublime. La chambre confortable. Malheureusement un petit couac de chauffage ce jour là, mais le personnel est arrangeant et nous a amener un chauffage d’appoint très rapidement.

• Emir (1/5): - I would never recommend staying at this hotel based on the photos and reviews. First of all, the hotel's location is terrible. It doesn't give a safe and clean impression. There are hygiene issues in the rooms. I wanted to cancel without staying in the room, but they wouldn't allow it. Even though I paid for it, I didn't stay there and stayed somewhere else nearby instead. I would never recommend it.

• doko (8/5): Bonne expérience d'une ancienne demeure - le style est préservé d'une maison bourgeoise, les 3 salons alignés sont bien décorés et agréables (j'imagine surtout lorsqu'un feu est allumé), une cuisine bien équipée, c'est pourquoi cela peut être sympa d'être à plusieurs, cuisiner et rester ensemble autour d'une grande table. La chambre coté jardin est très calme. J'ai bien aimé la salle de bain. Le frigo est rempli de boissons (payantes), à notre disposition bouilloire et machine à café. La localisation n'est pas très appréciable la nuit, il n'y pas de commerce, ni restaurant, il faut pas mal marcher. La maison elle-même sent un peu le vieux temps (vraiment), c'est quand même une ancienne construction et aussi le bois travaille (marche d'escalier). Il semblerait qu'on entend parler les personnes au rez-de-chaussée, par chance personnellement j'ai bien dormi.

The room and bathroom are comfortable, clean and modern. The living room and garden are beautiful. The kitchen well equipped and accomodating. Please note: There’s no staff manning the property or reception after 5pm. No staff was in the property when I left at 8.30am. When I arrived there were young male guests loitering around the building, leaving the front door and the back door to the garden opened (in winter) with lots of empty bottles strewn around the living room. They were also in shorts and flip flops, with cigarettes in their hands. The whole staircase stank of cigarettes. The guests also came in and out throughout the night with loud shutting of the doors between 1am and 3am.

• Daniel (6/5): - The hotel is conveniently located and the room is quite spacious. This is not really a hotel - I have not seen a single a staff member during my whole stay. During the evenings/nights there was a lot of noise and smoke in the corridors, which effectively prevented me from sleeping. One of my worst experiences in Brussels so far.

• Amber (9/5): - Alles in het verblijf was goed in orde. We kregen zelf een upgrade waardoor we een kamer hadden met terras. Het inchecken verliep zeer vlot en we mochten al eerder in de kamer. Het personeel die rondliep in het verblijf was zeer vriendelijk. Ook de communicatie via Booking verliep zeer goed, we kregen altijd snel antwoord.De locatie was super en we komen zeker terug! We hadden de wellness geboekt voor twee uur, maar door een probleem met de sauna konden we enkel de jacuzzi gebruiken. We kregen snel antwoord over het probleem, maar hij werkte jammer genoeg niet. Daarnaast was alles super in orde!

Lounge is the old Grand Room Where state dinners were held. You can even book a room with your OWN spa. And the garden…AMAZING!

• Philip (8/5): Plesant stay, helpful staff and a lovely room - The room was very grand and bathroom attached was modern and well kept. We only saw staff on the day we arrived and not again after that. But the person who greeted us was nice and welcoming and even sorted our room out 2.5 hours before check in. Not easy to find at first apart for some plants outside. Also greeted with a cracked window which makes you question the area. Walls seem to be quite thin. We could hear a lot of footsteps and talking from above. The hotel was more like a grand B&B without the breakfast and unfortunately there’s not much around the near vicinity.
