• Sd (2/5): Do not trust the 9.4 rating or the pictures on Booking.com. The photos are completely misleading, and the property itsel - Nothing. The experience did not match the expectations set by the listing. I booked this property expecting an experience that matched its 9.4 rating on Booking.com, but I was severely disappointed. The reality is completely different from what is advertised. The photos online are highly deceptive, and the actual condition of the place is neither well-maintained nor clean. As a solo traveler, finding a reliable, comfortable place is a priority, and this property failed on all fronts. It is absolutely not worth the money being charged, and it is baffling how it maintains such a high rating on the platform. Save your money and look elsewhere.

• Nithin (8/5): Good stay, friendly and helpful property owners. - The double room was comfortable and the property was easily accessible. The owners were very friendly and good hosts, even though they were unable to be physically present. They ensured all amenities were available even during their absence. Property has only 1 parking slot, but perhaps more vehicles can be parked on the nearby roads and alleyways.

• Rajpal (9/5): Great place with great views from the terrace, comfortable rooms, and super friendly & helpful host! - Host (Anil) was very responsive and attentive, always making sure my stay was comfortable. He also gave me several recommendations on places to visit and eat it in the area. Would've been great if chai/coffee and simple breakfast was available since the hostel is a little isolated and there aren't any food options immediately outside the hostel.

Location is about 1.5 km from the bus stand, therefore, it is peaceful yet convenient. 1. Could be priced slightly better, although not significant.

• Van (9/5): Comfortable room at a nice location with super helpful host Anil! - Location and building were nice, it was in a quiet surrounding. The room was well equipped and comfortable, and Anil was a great host and was very helpful suggesting activities and helping to arrange tickets and transport. The mattress was a little hard, but it was perfectly fine for me.

It was excellently maintained and cleaned, all that within the budget. There were no options to eat in/around the place, one would have to walk about atleast 1kms to grab food, no Swiggy zomato or public transportation either.. you only get it from market centre after 1/1.5 kms walk

• Tina (10/5): Exceptional - I enjoyed my stay at Ikyam so much! First of all the room and the whole hostel was really clean and well maintained, situated in a quiet area. Furthermore Anil is a really caring and helpful person, just a good soul. He cared for me while having a cold and offered me a tour with him to some waterfalls and to a beautiful viewpoint because I was not able to find a group for the jeep tour in Madikeri as a solo traveller. I had really good talks with him and was even invited to breakfast at his and his wife's home. If you are in Madikeri, please stay here, it is a wonderful expierence! 😊

Helped me to organise better my stay in the zone and showed me amazing places. They helped me to see more than just the touristic part, for which I am very grateful. If you are looking to discover Madikeri region in a deeper level and meet amazing, warm people, IKyam is a must! • Elaine (10/5): Great stay at a relatively new hostel - Lovely place to stay with a very friendly and helpful couple who were full of great travel tips and recommendations. We spent a morning hiking together and I paid for an extra herbal spa treatment which was a luxury bonus. Great location right on the edge of town too. A local breakfast was provided each morning too which was very tasty. I'd thoroughly recommend.

They helped me organize trips around the area and even took me on a tour to a beautiful mountain. Initially I only wanted to stay one night but I kept extending my stay because the atmosphere was so nice! You should also try the aryuvedic treatments in Anusha's practice - you will feel amazing afterwards:)
• Rachel (10/5): Such a welcoming house - Anil and his wife were so welcoming and helpful. They would respond immediately and make sure we were comfortable. He helped us get a cab for our trip around and outside the city and gave us so much good food and coffee ! The room was simple but nice and very clean. The water was the hotter we got during our long stay in India. The house is located in a calm area, not too far from the center. You won’t regret staying with such nice people ! • Arun (10/5): Exceptional - The host, Anil is the one of the best I have ever come across. He is professional, polite and gives great suggestions to explore Coorg. Location is very near to Kings seat and many major attractions. Breakfast they offer is homemade and it's delicious. About the dorm, it met all my expectations and all basic amenities were available. The terrace just outside the dorm is really cool.
• Padmavathi (9/5): Soothing - The place is cozy nd it feels like home. It's extremely pretty 😍 They didn't let us do an early check in they could have given a dorm to refresh but they didn't think of it as the room was already occupied. It's fine what else can be done.

Highly recommended for staying in Madikeri town. Location is little difficult to find if you are new to Madikeri but owners will help to find out .

I wish I could have extended my stay over there. They have maintained a beautiful terrace with garden and a party room like setup. • Hemanth (10/5): A good stay for solo travellers. - Lovely place to stay. It's around 1.5km from the bus stand. The owner of this homestay is so kind and indulgent. The breakfast they provide is too good. Especially the ambience from the turf is wonderful. There are 2 rooms where one is dormitory having 6 beds and other room is for couples. The rooms are clean and washrooms are very tidy. You have to carry your own toiletries and towel with you.
