Guest Reviews
- Tee (7/5): I'd go back, just with some expectations. - There's a lot of personal touches and art you wouldn't expect in a lot of places.
Very comfortable enclosed outdoor area (though it is cold!).
Quite well equipped kitchen - great sized fridge if you're staying with a few people.
Nice showers, modern bathrooms.
Quiet street, short walk from the beach.
Comfortable beds and pillows in main bedrooms. No WiFi access (one of the reasons we booked).
Wandered around trying to find a way into the property because there weren't great instructions. Then the door code didn't work, but resolved relatively quickly - still annoying that it's the first impression.
The enclosed outdoor dining area is cold, even with the heaters. The shower / bathroom in that area is also cold.
The bunk-bed bedroom is very small, there's no room for any luggage here (especially if you want adults to be sleeping on the bunks). Blockout blinds in the bunk-bed bedroom don't really work that well.
Needs more teaspoons!
- Maddie (10/5): - I absolutely loved this property!!! It’s stunning and so cute and I would definitely stay again. Felt right at home. Nothing.
- Sam (10/5): Exceptional - The indoor / outdoor area at the back was great
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Antonia (9/5): Excellent getaway in a beautiful part of the coast - Great location, very clean and neat. Excellent facilities and amenities. Would have liked the screen door & back area to lock.
- Elizabeth (7/5): A relaxed lovely family holiday. - Overall we had an enjoyable stay; and now knowing what the place really is like (as opposed to it’s false advertising), we may choose to stay again. Unfortunately this property is very misleading in its advertising. It doesn’t have an ensuite as advertised; and the large living room is not a fully enclosed room from the elements, thus would get very hot during the summer days. Hand soaps were empty on arrival, bedroom lamps didn’t work; and for the first time ever in a rental, there wasn’t even salt and pepper. I think when properties have washing machines, laundry detergent should be supplied, as buying a whole bottle/box for a week, is excessive. These are small things, which don’t cost much to the owners, but make a difference to the customer. I was told there were beach towels supplied, but they were very small towels, good for small children but not adults. Also I asked if there were board games etc; and was told there were none, so I visited opshops before hand and borrowed from relations, only to find there was a whole cupboard of games. The people managing these properties need to get to know their facilities better!
- Krupa (8/5): Amazing for families so many things you wouldn’t think of was really well thought out. Very much recommend. -
- Mandy (10/5): Exceptional - ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Our stay at the beachfront holiday house was nothing short of incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning location and the impeccable facilities provided.
The house itself was spacious, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we could possibly need for a relaxing beach getaway. The kitchen was fully stocked with high-quality appliances, making meal preparation a breeze. We particularly enjoyed gathering around the large dining table for family dinners with panoramic views of the ocean.
The bedrooms were cozy and comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep after long days spent exploring the beach. Waking up to the sound of waves crashing against the shore was truly magical.
One of the highlights of our stay was the private beach access, just steps away from the house. We spent countless hours swimming, sunbathing, and building sandcastles with the kids. It was the perfect way to unwind and connect with nature.
We also appreciated the attention to detail provided by our host. From the seamless check-in process to the helpful recommendations for local attractions, they went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable. Their prompt communication and willingness to accommodate our needs made us feel right at home.
Overall, our experience at the beachfront holiday house exceeded all expectations. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and rejuvenating beach retreat. We can't wait to return for another memorable stay!
- Emily (10/5): Great place ina great location. Comfortable for 4 adults - It's a great location with a lovely garden and a big, light sun room. Very comfortable overall, with a small lounge in the original building. 2 good bathrooms and lots of indoor/outdoor space. We had a great time. The bunk room is cramped and the beds aren't the most comfortable.

- Ee (9/5): All in all Sea Gypsy is a very nice accomodation to live in and my family was quite happy. - Bruce, the property manager, was a super host, very clear in giving instructions on how to get into the property and the necessary info on amenities, very prompt in servicing our request for a portable heater and rubber mats for the shower area. Thank you. It wasnt clear in booking.com that there’s only one toilet inside the living area and the other was actually outside with the laudry machines. And there were no heating lights like the toilet inside so on the first night, we couldn’t use the shower in the toilet outside as it was so cold. Bruce was very kind to quickly provide us with a portable heater the following morning which allowed us then to use the shower area in the 2nd toilet.
Also, unlike everything else in the kitchen which was very clean, the oven was not in a state that i could use comfortably.
