Guest Reviews
- jørgensen (7/5): - Garden and House was very good
- David (9/5): Good bargain and comfortable home but the weather sucked. - Quiet neighborhood. Home was comfortable with well-positioned and bright lights. Backyard deck was cute. Wish weather had been better but all in all, this was a comfortable stay. The weather sucked bad. It rained all the time.
- Rebecca (10/5): -
- Adrian Welling (5/5): - Good location, off street parking Property seemed dated , the pictures on the site
were a better presentation than being there in real life
- Christine (10/5): Would confidently recommend this property. - Location great to shops.
Home exceeded expectations. Felt like home. Liked everything and have recommended it to friends.
- Bryce (7/5): Spring clean please - Clean enough for the most part of the apartment, bed was really comfortable, location good. Good shower strength however poorly ventilated bathroom thru very small opening in skylight, bathroom steamed up easily and no bathroom bench or table to sit one’s clothes on etc.
Furniture a little out dated appeared to be from a second hand shop, iron cord frayed, back yard untidy the natural look I think they call it.
Rooms upstairs stairs get very warm no aircon or fan, could open balcony door or window I guess but let the leaves in.
Actually not that bad of a place just needs updated a little and good spring clean and replace some of the older essentials.
- Wilkins (10/5): - Proximity to everything. Well equipped and private location. Very quiet
- Jones (8/5): Delightful home to stay in, great location and quiet. - Has a great vibe. Liked the bedroom balcony and the small garden outlook. Dishwasher would be handy, but not a big concern.
- Bronson (10/5): Definitely would stay again! - Clean and good location. Water pressure was amazing
- John (5/5): -
- Zachariah (10/5): -
- Marisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (7/5): Good - Just to let you know that the top LH element on the stove and a hot point in the bathroom are not working.
Only complaint is thar we could have used an extra blanket for the bed ..also as advised the TV is too small and the reception is rubbish .
- Alison (9/5): Superb -
- Jin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (7/5): Good -
- Murray (8/5): Very good and a pleasant place to stay. Quiet area. Lack of a normal TV was very disappointing. - Clean tidy, plenty of room, well appointed, handy location, would stay again. Disappointed that the TV wasn't connected to any normal services, only thing available was Netflix & Youtube, which you had to use your own login. Not very good if you don't have an account for either. Needs to be sorted. The beds were rather firm and not all that comfortable. (alright if you like a very firm bed)
- Lesley (8/5): A great little spot for a short break. - The location was great. Cozy, very quiet and private. Handy to the CBD and not far from main roads in and out.
The mid-century dining suite is lovely! We were travelling with my elderly mother in law. The stairs were without a handrail which made her a bit nervous.
Parking was a little tight and would have been easier without other residents' work vehicles parked in the shared area. It was manageable though.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional - Very well equiped. Quiet residential area. Just missing a dishwasher!
- Ronald (5/5): Passable -
- Mayang (10/5): A stay that felt like home, garage made it convenient to move in and out of property. - Everything was there, we need not buy more. The stay was comfortable. There were some insects (winged ants) on the bed of the bigger bedroom, and it stayed for the period of our stay there.
- Peter (9/5): A nice and comfortable unit for our short stay in Christchurch. - Parking situation was not as easy as we expected due to other unit owner vehicles within the limited space.
- Sue (9/5): We loved being so close to Hagley Patk and found the dessert restaurant on Bealey to have a fantastic dinner menu - The garden .. the bedroom & the spaciousness .. and the paintings Needs a new couch .. all the pillows help .. but really invest in a new couch
- Sharon (8/5): Comfortable beds, quiet location, off street parking, well-equipped 2 bed holiday home. - Beds were both super comfortable, well equipped home with off street parking, quiet location. Some attention to detail too, like info leaflets, some basic pantry staples, lots of cushions, summer and winter weight duvets. Mainly just the curtains (in cupboard) to go up in front of blinds in back bedroom, the front bedroom was done and housekeeping informed, so should be sorted by the time you book this!
- Mayank (1/5): Horrible property and property management that should not be worthy of listing to avoid getting duped based on pictures - Other than the only bathroom that was clean and acceptable, there is nothing to like about this property, property management or owner of property Very very tight Parking, unclean kitchen, garage, filthy couch, pee-smelling bedroom, lack of basic facilities (dishwasher), lack of customer focus and unethical property management who is yet to return the over charged credit card processing fees - despite having agreed with booking.com customer service. A lot more to not like about it, but a waste of my time to type it up.
- David (7/5): Good -
- Aafke (7/5): overall enjoyed stay as house has a relaxed feel and is well located. The lack of darkness in bedrooms to sleep was howe - the location, close to everything we wanted. Spacious open plan living lack of blockout blinds or curtains in bedrooms: Bedrooms have wooden Venetian blinds that don’t block out any daylight what so ever. There are curtain tracks still in rooms which we managed to peg some dark throws over in one of the rooms. So unless you go to bed late when it’s already dark, the rooms are day light still even with blinds shut. No good for infant/toddler naps or morning lie ins.
Fitting some block out roller blinds inside the frames would be a huge improvement to comfort of stay.
TV wasn’t allowing access like usual and needed some sort of updating and sorting out. Staff fixed it so we had normal viewing after that.
Tight Parking: parking space very tight up against house, garage to small to fit car and close door so no use.
- Sue (8/5): We had a lovely break staying here. - Great location close to town and Merivale Carpet was stained and in need of cleaning, garden area is in need of weeding.
- Chilton (10/5): Really convenient, quiet, clean and cosy place to stay. Minutes walk from cafes, the park and shops. -
- Danuta (9/5): Good location , comfortable accommodation - Good location Nothing to report , all was good
- Kathleen (10/5): Would definitely book this again if we go to Christchurch. - Lovely two bedroom property, very quiet, and great location that we could walk to town in 20 mins Nil
- Harry (3/5): Safety concerns would need to be fully addressed before others stay there. - Location was good. The house comfortable and big enough. Linens and towels etc. were great. The garage was a bonus. There was a deep culvert type drain running along the edge of the driveway. This was not fenced, covered, lit or notified as a hazard. My adult son fell in to the culvert. He fell across a support strut saving him from a worse outcome. He sustained some bruising and contusion injuries which affected his ability to work the next day. He was attempting to enter the car at the time. It was impossible to see in the dark and he could not see it at all. The outside lights attached to the dwelling were not working. This made the venue unsafe for adults and totally unsuitable for children. The issues were brought to the attention of the venue managers.
- Bronwyn (10/5): Exceptional - The house was very clean, tidy and warm. Had everything we needed. The communication and instructions were great.
- Rachel (9/5): Superb -
- Marene (10/5): Exceptional -
- Stu (10/5): Perfect - Everything. Very good location. Spacious inside. Lovely courtyard area. Was perfect for our stay Nothing
- Rebecca (7/5): Good - Bathroom was great. N0 air conditioning
- Joanne (8/5): Very good - Parking was an issue because of the way the neighbours parked
- Mai (8/5): Very good -
- Bernette (7/5): Except for the dustiness, the place was overall good and we would recommend it. - Location to Hagley Park and the Christchurch Botanic Gardens makes this property wonderful. We were able to walk in the park almost daily. Pretty close to downtown and most everything by car. Beds were comfortable, bathrooms were clean. The place was very dusty. Curtains, walls, sofa, carpet need a good cleaning. Felt like sneezing the entire month we were there.
- Trina (10/5): Great location and comfortable. Will definitely be back - Good spot. Great value The address wasn’t clear and the gps sent us to the wrong place. Also wasn’t cleaned when we got there later than we planned. That was sorted and the bottle of wine and the chocolates was fair compensation👍
