The host was very responsive.
I wish I had more positives. Aside from the general location, which was good for transport, the block is a council flat in the middle of an estate. I had no issues with that, but it's worth noting. Especially as the general block was pretty grimy.
The flat itself is a decent size, but everything is a bit grotty. The finish of the decoration is poor.
The biggest issue is the smell of damp/mildew/mold throughout. The windows had been left open, I guess to try and get fresh air in.
Dust and hair all over the bathroom and floors generally. It definitely had not been cleaned well for a while.
Bath mats look like they haven't EVER been vacuumed or cleaned.
Kitchen was well stocked with pots and crockery but one of the mugs was chipped, and another had sticky residue in it when I took it out of the cupboard.
Of the three chairs in the kitchen diner.. one had no back!!
No full length mirror. In fact the only mirror was the bathroom cabinet.
Bathroom window is broken
With the shower we had a choice between a fresh, cold trickle, like you would find running between rocks at the side of a countryside lake, or boiling hot water bursting out with the heat and velocity of an erupting volcano.
Parking is available, but you pay per calendar day, so for a one night stay, you'd have to pay for two days parking (if you plan to leave after 10am - check out is 11am).

- Lizz (5/5): Passable - Unfortunately, the key collection information was incorrectly provided and after a 28 hours of travel from Australia, this was rather distressing. Also, the unit was located in what I assume was social housing building, so we were rather concerned. The unit itself was fine, but as this was our first destination on our trip, it was a disappointing start.

- Director (1/5): We feared for our safety. - Location was about 10 minute walk from closest bus stop. In a council flat that was not well maintained. Quiet area. Small place. Markets and diversity in the community. The lock was broken. The owner of the place sent videos and video called me to tell me how to use the lock but it did not work. He then did not get it fixed by a locksmith because he said he couldn't, so we had to lock bedrooms until he could come lock the door (he lived 1.5 hours away). He then wanted to come at night to let us back into the apartment and show us how to lock the door. We were two women travelling together (one of which was from a women's rights programme and experiencing trauma). Having a man we did not know come to the apartment that late to open and lock it was NOT acceptable. It was frightening and a breech of our rights. When we said we could not stay there, due. to the safety issue of the locks, the owner refused to refund us. Same for booking.com.
There were pubic hairs in the shower and hair on the floor. The window was broken, the toilet roll holder bent and broken. Poor paint and maintenance of the building.
- Daniel (8/5): Very homely! Definitely would stay again - Very cosy. Beautifully kept. Very nice host who went above and beyond to ensure there were adequate toiletries and necessities available! Very quick to respond too! Very little besides the shower which although strong pressure it was an odd shape meaning you can’t stand and shower
- Aleksejs (8/5): Very good - Everything is well thought out for staying in an apartment. The apartment is well equipped. The beds are comfortable. The nearest metro station is a 20 minute walk. Not far from the city center. Sometimes the neighbors upstairs made noise. Somewhere under the window a pigeon was hooting :)
