Guest Reviews
- Graham (3/5): Disappointing because of the poor cleanliness, and issues needing fixing - Location good with on-site parking Hello
Thank you for asking for a review of the property we stayed in, at Morpeth.
The standard of cleaning in the property was extremely low in all the downstairs bedrooms and bathrooms.
Room 1
Under the bed were used tissues and dirt.
The mattress was too big for the bed.
Room 2
The shower was filthy with so much hair in the plug hole the water could not get away. Clearly had not been cleaned for a while.
The shower door opened the wrong way leaving little room between it and the toilet.
The outside door to the terrace did not lock. It was open and not secure, so had to be wedged shut.
The wall, spot lights and bed lights were not working.
Air fresheners tried to mask the smell of cigarettes.
Room 3
The bathroom was very damp with the floor permanently wet. It had mould and smelt.
Used tissues under the beds.
Room 4
Very strong cigarette smell.
The duvet was very dirty and brown inside the cover.
Bedside lamp not working.
All drains smelt of sewage.
The conservatory’s outer door didn’t lock. There was a bolt at the bottom but anyone could gain entry by a push.
Sweets were found between the sofa cushions. Sticky and they were not wrapped.
The J cloths in a basket under the kitchen sink were filthy. Totally unusable. (We went out to buy dish clothes).
The toilet by the front door had no towels and needed a clean.
We have rented many properties over the years and have never had such a bad experience.
Last year we paid the same amount of money for a house in Whitby. It was spotless and everything we all needed was there.
Please forward this letter to the owners who are paying for cleaning work which is not happening.
You need to take it off your site until a great deal of work has been done. To be honest a refund of at least £250 would be only a slightly compensation.
Yours sincerely,
Mr & Mrs Graham and Jenny Leng.
- Marjorie (8/5): We had a lovely time - Living areas Some bedrooms needed a refurb
- Amy (8/5): A nice property in a good location- perfect for small family gatherings. - Lots of space for the family to spread out but also enough to come together. The living room was cosy and comfortable. Couldn’t adjust the heat of some of the radiators and at times we were melting but it was too cold to shut off completely.
- Jacqueline (5/5): The property condition reflects the price. Cheap fir a large house but in need of some maintenance to much to mention an - Large and close to town centre Problems with heating. No heating in conservatory so could not use the room. No heating in dining room and no portable heaters given on request. Not all bathrooms working properly. Not enough space in dining room for 10 people and upholstery on dining chairs very stained.
