• TEO (10/5): A place worth visiting again - This is a quiet and comfortable place. The staff are very friendly, the rooms are spacious and clean, and the Wi-Fi signal is excellent. The restaurant is highly recommended; the food is fantastic. Enjoying the blue sea and sky while having a delicious and satisfying breakfast, and especially the sweet and sour pork with pineapple for lunch, made my vacation perfect.

• Zaldy (2/5): WORST RESORT EVER!!! 😡 - The pool view is pretty. I and my friends regret staying at this resort. I was the one who booked the rooms and when we checked in, he asked of my ID. So I gave my US driver’s license. The owner was like I need your Philippine ID. Then I gave him my voter’s ID. He looked at it and was like. I don’t this. I need your national ID. I gave him my PRC license. He looked at it and told said, “You have all these IDs but no national ID?” I need your passport. I told him that I don’t have my passport with me and he told I need to verify if you are a Filipino and I cant check you in without a national ID. I was so pissed!!!! I explained that my voter’s ID and my PRC are both government issued IDs and are considered national IDs. He still did not believe me. He was Chinese and not that it matters, but I think he does not have any clue about my PRC license and voter’s ID. Long story short, he accepted my PRC license, but he told me that I need to sign the paper and check if my name is correct and my ID even if he does not know what kind of ID I presented (so rude), but that’s not the worst part. When we settled in our room, we immediately turned the AC on because it was super hot. The AC was already set to 16 degrees celsius but it was not working well. The room was still very hot even if we changed the sitting to turbo and full air. The worst thing was the key card was used as power for the room so when we took it out from the slot, and closed the door, all the lights and the AC turned off and of course we did not know about it. We went out to grab dinner and when we came back, the room was still freakin hot. I was sooooOOOO pissed! I get the conserve energy, but really the AC? The Philippines is so humid and the AC shuts off every time you go out. So annoying…plus the AC is not even working well like it was not helping at all. There were also a lot of bugs and ants in the room. The wifi sucks. There was no bath rug yet the tiles in the bathroom were slippery.

• Nir (9/5): - המלון מצויין, על חוף שקט ויפה. חדרים גדולים בריכה נקייה... סגרתי דרך בוקינג את המחון הגענו למלון בשעה 1300 הגענו בשעה 1700. לא נתנו לנו לעשות צ'ק אין כי מנהל המלון יצא לכיוון העיר. הפקידות לא היו מוכנות לעשות לנו צק אין, כי הן לא ראו את ההזמנה.(המנהל סגר מוקדם ולא ראה את ההזמנה שלנו.). הן לא היו מוכנות להתקשר אליו שיגיע ויעשה לנו צ'ק אין. חיכינו שעתיים וחצי עד שהמנהל הגיע ורק אז קיבלנו מפתחות.

Also the windows were very dirty so we didn’t see much from our ocean view. Also carpet on the floor with weird stains on it.

• Daniela (7/5): Ruhig, grandiose Sonnenuntergänge, absolut local und mit angeschlossener Tauchbasis - Absolut ruhige Lage und wahnsinnig liebenswürdiges Personal. Perfekt für Taucher, denn es gibt eine kleine feine Tauchbasis direkt am Hotel. Hausriff welches zum Schnorcheln und tauchen perfekt ist, allerdings benötigt man definitiv einen Roller, der aber innerhalb von 10 Minuten über das Personal organisiert ist. Essenstechnisch, außer das Frühstück sollte man lieber Richtung San juan fahren. Das Frühstück ist grandios, allerdings teuer. Und der Pool könnte tagsüber etwas mehr Schatten vertragen, sei es über aufgespannte Sonnenschirme oder ein Sonnensegel.

• AlexxxG (3/5): - Only the pool next to the beach we like, size of pool is nice big and with various depth But dirty as they don't clean it, many sands are in the bottoms of pool, lots of dead bugs floating and water greasy on the surface 1. Don't order any drinks from the bar/restaurant, cocktail is shit, taste of nothing and all taste like sparkling water, even watermelon shake taste like water 2. The bathroom in the room smells so bad of the sewer, shower is so weak and can't even have a proper shower 3. The bed is very small, hard and not comfortable at all, the pillow was shit like old cotton inside 4. Stingy with pool towel, w Took my towel from the pool side when I went back to collect some stuff from my room and claim they have no more clean towel, its only 11am in the morning. With all those many rooms and don't have enough pool towel.

• daniel (9/5): Really enjoyed our stay at Blue Joys, perfect relaxation mixed with some adventure, would definitely - Literally went off of the Booking.com recommendations, and the price, but was pleasantly surprised how nice it was there, had a very large room, well decorated, lovely big bed, although a little hard, lovely bathroom and lounge. Pool was great and clean, food and drink was limited, but was fine for our 4 days stay. Staff and owner were very lovely, and had a good chat with them. Location was fab, right on the beach and so peaceful, with a beautiful sunset view. It maybe a little remote for some who want a bit of night life, but we had a scooter and prefer the peacefulness The only thing for us, was the limited menu and drinks, but for a short break, it was fine. But I have to say, the fresh breakfast fruits were lovely

Staff was rather clueless one day they simply decided not to serve lunch without telling their guests so we had to go out for a late lunch. As a result we decided to have a later dinner. We arrived shortly before 8 and they told us they were closed. Their site says they serve till 8pm!

The infinity swimming pool was always kept clean The rooms were lovely and the beds were extremely comfortable The staff were extremely helpful and friendly The owner was fantastic and great to see him there helping out when needed the grounds and gardens were beautiful and kept very well To be honest there wasn’t much at all. Maybe the mat outside on on the deck could be replaced

We were warmly welcomed and were particularly impressed by Chen Chen, who juggled multiple responsibilities while always appearing cheerful and unphased. We particularly enjoyed our large deck even though we only had a peak-a-no view. The breakfast was beautifully presented. The resort is not located close to amenities so you need to rent a scooter to get around. This could be an issue if you don’t want to ride. We would have appreciated access to filtered water as the resort only provided two small bottles.

Leckeres liebevoll zubereitetes Frühstück, zum Empfang gab es einen tollen Obstteller und täglich frische Wasserflaschen. Alle Zimmer haben Blick aufs Meer. Parkplatz für Motorroller vor dem Hotel vorhanden. Tauchstation in der Hotelanlage integriert. Guter Ausgangspunkt zu Ausflügen über die Insel. Die Zufahrt zum Hotel ist sehr uneben und schlecht befahrbar. Am Pool gibt es keine Schattenplätze oder Schirme. Da das Hotel terrassenförmig angelegt ist, ist der Zugang zu einigen Zimmern nur über hohe Treppen erreichbar.

• Natale Mailey (10/5): Spectacular location, Top Class Resort with onsite Dive/Kite school and Home Reef - The location of this hotel is perfect for those who want a quiet relaxed holiday, within easy reach of busy bars and restaurants, if needed. We stayed 8 nights and it was bliss. The sunsets do not disappoint! It was a different masterpiece every evening..... The rooms are spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. We had a beach front room, and it was truly beautiful to wake up every morning and open the curtains to that vista The pool is exceptional and West facing, so the sunset is picture perfect from there. The sea is only a few steps from your room, the whole beach is a reef, we saw so many fish and turtles, while snorkling. It was honestly Amazing! There is a little sandy beach for kids, right in front of the pool and then 20 steps to the water at high tide The staff are wonderful, from the owner, security and waiting staff, to the chef and gardeners! All of them couldn't do enough to make your stay as special as possible There is an onsite dive/kite school and we booked a few dives and wind foil lessons. Staff at the dive school are French, with perfect english, and it is a very professional operation! A Tuk Tuk into San Juan for a night out costs 1,000 pesos return for 4 people, (£12.50) and takes about 15 mins each way. We also hired a self drive Tuk Tuk to tour the Island, during our stay There is very little not to like! There is a varied food and drinks menu at the hotel, if you eat meat and fish, but limited options for Vegans. With that being said, they were very accommodating to our Vegan companion during our stay and there are wonderful Vegan restaurants all around San Juan

• Allen (6/5): Worth a night or two for the sunsets alone - Great beachfront location and nice infinity pool. Magnificent sunsets and great variety of fish seen while snorkelling. Worth staying a night or two for this alone. Austere rooms lacking personality-very “motel” like. Food service availability was intermittent (bring instant tofu soup), but - to the credit of the establishment- complimentary food platter when food was available.

• REGINALD (1/5): - Nothing Owner was rude. Would not take drivers license as an ID only accepts passport . Checked us in took our 3000 pesos then said room not available not till 2 PM. We booked 2 rooms , only 1 is ready. Our friend had to wait for 30 more minutes. We got to our room. No towels in the bathroom and the floor is flooded because the AC was clogged. Maintenance had to fix it for 45 minutes. The pool is slimy that made the steps very slippery. 😬

Les chambres donnent sur la mer, elles sont spacieuses et confortables, le personnel est adorable. Un club de plongée est collé à l’hôtel avec une équipe extrêmement sympathique! Un peu éloigné de San Juan et de ses bars et restaurants mais avec un scooter ce n’est plus un problème.

• Lopez (10/5): A great resort - A great resort with large and clean rooms and they provide everything they need, quiet refrigerator and air conditioning which is rare in the Philippines. The garden is very beautiful, and I fully feel the beauty of nature. I especially like the sunsets here, which is amazing. The resort owner is a very good person and gives me a lot of travel advice on the island. The staff are warm and friendly. I like it very much and will be back.

• Katharina Josephine (1/5): - Nothing. It was an emergency option as everything else was booked up. I'd like to highlight that the local staff at the hotel were very nice. However, they are treated badly by the owner. The beds are hard and the room has basically no furniture, it's bare minimum. They gave us one tiny shower gel for 2 people for 2 nights and said it's out when we asked for more. There's a kettle but no tea, coffee or even water provided. The hotel is at the end of a road with a restaurant that's only providing Chinese food, which was awful and not even that sometimes, do you need to take a car to get to somewhere else. Every little thing costs extra. It's advertised as a sports /marine place, but you have to pay triple for snorkeling gear (it's free in all the other hotels) I can't recommend

• Helmut Ludwig (10/5): - Hervorragende Lage mit guten Tauchspots direkt vor dem Hotel. Schon beim Schnorcheln kann man viele Schildkröten sehen. Die Zimmer sind geräumig und sauber. Super Frühstück mit großer Auswahl. Nettes Personal. Im Restaurant gibt es leider nur chinesische Küche. Ist zwar gut, aber nicht für jeden Tag.

Wir hatten das Deluxe Zimmer mit Meeeblick, es gab einen Kühlschrank und Wasserkocher und Klimaanlage. Alles war sehr sauber. Haben uns über das Hotel einen Roller gemietet. Keine Sonnenschirme am Pool.

• Julian (8/5): - Rooms and pool are very nice. Sunset is beautiful. However around San Juan there are better beaches. You need a scooter since the location is kind of farer away. But you can rent them for a good price at the hotel. Menu for dinner or lunch is only offering Chinese food. Breakfast is very good, but for the price of the room included in the hotel price.

Wine prices were ridiculous. Staff needed basic training ie one did not know what a latte was. Just a general lack of personality and soul throughout the resort.

• Tommy Hamilton (10/5): Beautiful, Peaceful - Unreal stay💜. Amazing staff💜, insane views from the room and even better from the pool. Hands down the best sunsets on the island. The food was spot on and everything felt top quality from start to finish. Would 100% stay again. A bigger menu would be nice but the food was so good.

• Theis (5/5): Elendig internet, men fantastisk udsigt... - Smuk udsigt med solnedgang! God morgenmad! Der er IKKE internet på alle værelser, og det er langsomt. Ejeren af stedet tog ikke problemerne seriøst og grinte bare os og af andres gæsters problemer. Noget af personalet var helt nye. Det tager ca. 30 min at komme ind til San Juan på scooter.
• Gemma (9/5): - Lovely hotel in a peaceful area. Rooms were bright and spacious. We were able to rent scooters from the hotel for a couple of days. We enjoyed the large swimming pool and free use of kayaks/paddleboards. WiFi was a bit patchy in the room and the tv had no streaming services.
• Jason (10/5): Incredible value for a hidden miniature Intramuro - Views of the ocean and pool are beautiful. The architecture looks like the colonial Spaniard style Filipinos built. It took so long to check in, but I still enjoyed my stay.

• hui (10/5): Beautiful beach, Great resort - Great, during my stay, a typhoon hit island, causing power, water, and internet outages in many places, but everything at the resort remained normal. Being able to enjoy delicious food and drinks without leaving the resort. There is a perfect haven.
• Ann-Katrin (6/5): - Die Lage ist sehr gut, ruhig und dennoch alles fussläufig erreichbar Die Anlage ist sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Zimmer müssten dringend renoviert werden. Zum duschen musste man den Duschkopf in der Hand halten, da die Halterung gebrochen war. Dies war definitiv auch schon länger der Fall. Preis Leistung sehe ich hier sehr kritisch. Die Liebe zum Detail fehlt in dieser Unterkunft.

• CHAUVIN (10/5): Un endroit magnifique - C'est un endroit très agréable, avec un personnel accueillant et un service impeccable. La piscine est immense et propre, et les chambres sont spacieuses et impeccables, avec tout le confort nécessaire. Le petit-déjeuner est frais et délicieux, et les plats principaux sont authentiques et méritent vraiment d'être goûtés. C'est sans doute le meilleur restaurant où j'ai mangé pendant toutes mes vacances, et je vous le recommande vivement.
• MILLER (10/5): A quiet and beautiful place - The view is stunning, and the pool is huge. You can easily enjoy the beautiful sunset over Apo Island. The food at the restaurant is delicious. Be sure to try their breakfast and pineapple fish; you won't regret it. It's fantastic. Highly recommended!
