Guest Reviews
- Jakub (10/5): - Great location, great organization very comfortable
- Marit (8/5): Goed appartement en perfecte locatie - Goede locatie en alles was dicht bij. Het appartement was ruim en groot genoeg voor 6 mensen. Niks
- Silvia (10/5): appartamento molto pulito in una zona centralissima -
- Brendan (9/5): Great stay in a central location. 😀 - Great location in the centre of the old part of Palermo. Each bedroom had its own bathroom too. Nothing! 😀
- Andre (5/5): Great location, three bedrooms with three bathrooms. But inadequate dining and lounge space. - The location was excellent! It was great to have three separate bedrooms, each with their own bathroom. The rooms were comfortable. But note, one of the bedrooms is up rickety stairs. Not a problem for someone fit and able bodied. The management company tried to address our issues promptly but ignored some of our requests. The online check-in process and access instructions were unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming — it felt almost like preparing for an exam just to enter the apartment. The kitchen was poorly equipped, with only a small bench table and four bar stools for dining, and a tiny outdoor table with four chairs. For a property advertised to accommodate more than six guests, this setup was quite inadequate. There was no comfortable lounge area — just a very uncomfortable two-seater sofa. The kitchen lacked basic essentials: no tea towels for drying dishes, no cheese grater, no coffee capsules, and not even basic condiments like salt. The remotes for the three televisions didn’t work, and the smart TV system was outdated, allowing access only to local channels on one screen, while the others lacked antenna cables entirely. The shutters in the master bedroom were also broken and wouldn’t open to the balcony. A repairman was eventually sent almost 24 hours later. He was able to fix the balcony shutters and provide cables for the TVs, but there was little else he could do. Overall, not great service from the management company — disappointing, especially for such an expensive stay.

- stephane (7/5): Sympa pour l’emplacement - Top La terrasse
- Cosentino (6/5): Pleasant - Apartment was clean and comfortable Location was very difficult to find. Entry door was about 4 feet high. Had to duck under
- Chant (5/5): key problem - location huge difficulty of only one key
of someone popped out to get coffees ready of is plumbed onto darkness
- Dragos (10/5): Exceptional -
- Georx93 (9/5): Great gem in Palermo, capturing the essence of Sicily! - The person who came to give us the keys and info about the place was super friendly and helpful with such a positive attitude! The rooms were adorable with a beautiful decor and tiles, really Sicilian vibes and the indoor pstio was a delightful surprise which we didn't know!
- Ionut (9/5): Superb -
- Clodagh (8/5): Very good - It had 3 double bedrooms & 3 bathrooms.
There was a washing machine which we didn't know we had. The appt was very central to everything. One of the bathrooms had a blockage. The fridge in the kitchen was very small & some of the kitchen stools were broken.
- Noel (10/5): Great stay in Palermo - Beautiful rooms/home. Walking distance to everything. Everyone we came in contact with was friendly. Nothing
- Hanna (10/5): Exceptional - Quite spacious, good bathrooms. Clean and thoughtful. When we did not find a corkscrew and glasses, they were quickly provided for us. Quiet, although two steps away there is an excellent bazaar, where life is in full swing. Everything is nearby, good location. We liked. I missed the dishwasher. And I also wanted more natural light, but probably in the summer it’s good.
- Myle (7/5): Clean, great location, comfortable facilities! - The apt. is very nice and centrally located. It’s in the Ballero neighborhood which is a lively, multicultural neighborhood with lots of small bodegas and street food. The street looks a little rundown but it is very close to everything. We could pretty much walk to all the major sites of the city. And there was a wonderful live jazz bar just a block away.
The kitchen was good and provided basic amenities. It was missing a wine opener (the 2 they had were broken) but other than that it had the basic necessities. The fridge is a mini fridge so, you can’t store much but each bedroom has a mini-fridge. Overall, very clean and nice comfortable interior. It looks like the photos. Plenty of hot water for showers (there were 4 of us). There was also a nice enclosed terrace. All the bedrooms had their own locks. Two bottles of water were provided in each fridge.
Bedrooms are nice and large and 2 have en suite bathrooms; 1 bedroom has a separate bathroom. Plenty of electrical outlets in easy-to-reach locations which was great. Very nice apt. overall. Common space is nice for sitting and chatting after a long day walking around. A/C was a godsend for hot days - we were there at the beginning of October.
Overall, very nice and we would stay here again! Things to know in advance: The apt. is on the first floor, there is no elevator/lift and the hallway lights were good. Low ceiling on part of the staircase so, watch your head if you’re tall. You will need to empty the trash yourselves (we walked our trash a couple of blocks to the local city dumpsters) and wash your dishes before you leave. Also, the city tax is collected in cash when the management company reps. bring you the keys on the first day so, be sure to have cash on hand. If you need a 2nd set of keys, be sure to ask in advance. Also, bathrooms don't have sufficient towel racks to hang towels to dry but we just used clothes hangers to hang our towels. Also, bring your own toiletries as shampoo, etc. is not provided.
- Symbat.nurbay (8/5): Very good - The property itself is clean, relatively new, and spacious. It has three bedrooms with twin beds, each with its private bathroom, which was ideal for our party of five. Additionally, there is a fully equipped kitchen with a stove, refrigerator, and all the kitchen utensils. There is a common area and a spacious terrace for having a nice coffee break. All the bathrooms were clean and well functioning. There was no problem with any of the electronic devices, and the wifi also worked well throughout the entire property. Despite that, we still faced some inconveniences during our stay. Namely,
1. The earliest check-in time is 3 pm, while the check-out time is 10 am. There is absolutely no flexibility regarding the timing despite the scorching heat outside. So I would advise planning your arrival and departure accordingly.
2. There is no designated parking area, and the property is located in a zone with restricted parking access. So, it is not ideal for people arriving with a car.
3. Despite the property charging us 90 euros on top of the rental bill for cleaning fees, we still had to wash the dishes and take out the trash ourselves, as stated in the renter’s manual. The cleaning fee was not advertised in advance during the original booking process, and there is no discussion about it either. However, given that we did half of the cleaning ourselves, we did not understand what exactly we are paying for.
4. The agency that runs the property (“Wonderful Italy”) also provides booking services for tourist attractions such as guided tours, wine tasting, and boat tours. We did book a boat tour with them and were informed that it starts at 9.30 am and we have to arrive 15-20 minutes in advance. However, upon arrival, we found out that the tour, in fact, starts at 9 am, and we were, in fact, late, which made us question the competency of the agency and the reliability of the information provided. Moreover, the tour itself, although lasting 4.5 hours, is not worth the 70 euros per person price tag. There were only two stops on the tour (Modello beach and a cave) with about 50 minutes at each spot, and although drinks and an aperitivo were advertised as part of the tour, the only drink available was wine, with basic necessities like water being charged extra. All in all, although the property itself was really nice, I would not trust this agency again.
- Giananthony (6/5): Pleasant - The place was new, nice and in a good location. The 3-bed, 3-bath was spacious for a family. The property didn’t have good cooking materials. There was only one knife. They didn’t have essentials for cooking either - you had to buy everything. Barely any toilet paper, no paper towels. The place looked clean but on closer inspection, the showers were dirty, a lot of dust under the beds and they only give you one towel for the entire stay.
- Alicja (10/5): Excellent - I highly recommend, I'm delighted! excellent location, close to all the most important places on foot. we rented the whole apartment, where each of the three bedrooms had its own bathroom - invaluable with four women! bathrooms well decorated with large shower cabins, with well-functioning shower heads and no water spilling outside. hair dryers and washing machine (I didn't use it, but there is) rooms nicely decorated with all you need for a stay. really worth it, I recommend it unfortunately, in the city center you can't avoid noise at night
- Andreea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kateryna (10/5): Exceptional - Great property and great support. in the centre- close to everything. nice bathrooms, fully equipped.
- Andrzej (10/5): Superb location, good room - The location is superb, in an old building right in the middle of town, close to all the sights and restaurants, and just some 10 minutes on foot from the train station. The room was well designed and maintained, and it had everything anybody could need. It was very good value for money. We never met the hosts in person, but there were no issues with communicating with them thru the Booking app. We are fit enough so we did not mind this at all, but there are some really steep and narrow steps leading up to the rooms, which would be a problem for somebody with mobility issues (and big bags).
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great place,in the center, without noise ,a safe area and the host,Salvatore, very helpfull . Decorated with gusto, will definatelly stay there again! Thanks Salvo!
- Cameron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mitja (9/5): Superb -
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional -
- Felix (10/5): Best value in Sicily - Great host and location! Loved it. Nothing! One of the best booking.com places I’ve stayed at in terms of value.
- Katarina (7/5): Good - The location is excellent for sightseeing, only 2-3 minutes walking distance from Quattro Canti. The bathroom and kitchen facilities are modern and new. It is possible to get a receipt for the stay if you come for a business trip and I also appreciated that I could use the iron. The neighbourhood gets scary after 22:00, lots of drug addicts around, I don't recommend to single women. I also didn't like the fact that the bedroom doesn't have normal windows (actually there are 2 windows but they are both closed/blocked since they are at app. 3 meters height and open on somebody's elses terrace). This odd solution creates problems during night because you can hear these people talking on the terrace, above your head, also if they turn on the light on the terrace you see it in the room since there are no curtains and you can't turn it off, ecc. Also, the sound isolation is terrible, you hear neighours using toilet or taking bathroom each time.
- Shirley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benedikt86 (10/5): Exceptional - Location, staff, modern design, parking I front of the house, but you need a ZTL ticket for the parking zone No
- Nadia (9/5): Superb - Very central location, close to everything (sightseeing, shops, bars, etc), nice owner, clean room no complaints:)
- Otay (8/5): Very good - Very early and super easy check in.
It is walking distance to main attractions.
Room size was nice and enough. Palermo is a loud city in general, if you open your window it is so noisy 24 hours.
WIFI was poor.
- Yi (8/5): Overall still a satisfying experience - The facilities are very good - a full kitchen, even a washing machine and a drying rack. When we arrived, the self checkin was unsuccessful because the hosts mixed up the keys and we had to wait quite a long time to get the key. In addition, the bedroom was quite noisy because of the thin walls (we could hear neighbours talking) and boilers running throughout the night. And the high ceiling bedroom was a bit bright in the morning due to the sunlight coming into the high windows
- Jennifer (6/5): convenient but lacking in some features for us - The property was in a very rundown area of Palermo which came as a shock until we realised most of Palermo was in that condition! Convenient area for sightseeing by foot. Property was ok but access with suitcases difficult up a series of marble stairs; there was a "vestibule area"but only a coffee machine; no sink, no fridge, no kettle,( though this was readily provided when requested) no other facilities; bathroom was very small with poor shelving for toiletries; shower was good & water was hot. Second bedroom was up very steep "Dutch" wooden stairs, so not suitable for elderly people, no ventilation up there but had TV, comfortable bed, good lighting. Difficult access into apt for anyone other than youngsters; no communal area in apt for seating other than sofa bed.
- Gian (8/5): In summary: recommended. - Pros:
Excellent location in the heart of Palermo (Ballarò market area) a few steps from Via Macheda and i 4 Canti. 20-minute walk to get to the University campus. Very quiet. Nice toilet with walk-in shower and a bidet. The room was very clean. Complimentary coffee and tea brewing facilities on top of a small fridge and a TV in the upstair bedroom. Very good communication with Salvo, the manager. Cons:
In my room there were very steep stairs to get to the bedroom: definitely not for everyone.
Pillows could have been more confortable IMO.
The presence of an extra sofa bed means there is no space for a table or a chair.
- Joline (10/5): There is no better location to discover Palermo. Apartment is modern and stylish - Really central location to discover Palermo. Pretty much everything is in walkable distance and there is free parking on the street (Mind the ZTL).
We had the smallest room which was modern and nicely furnished - also with may thought-through details.
The host was very nice, gave good recommendations and even helped us to get a ZTL pass which you need if you want to enter the neighbourhood by car. Everything was perfect!
- Agnieszka (10/5): Exceptional - I trully recommend this apartment - quiet area, close to the city centre and restaurants. Clean and comfortable apartment.
- Nathalie (9/5): Superb - Very close to everything in the old downtown, room is comfortable and clean.
- Sára (8/5): lovely - great location, super comfortable room, nice little balcony, awesome coffee capsules :D my room didn’t have warm water, which wasn’t a big issue in 35+ Celsius
