• Alexandra (1/5): Mould, dirt, humidity and poor communication - Location I left the property within approximately 30 minutes of arrival due to its condition. Upon entering, I found significant hygiene issues, including visible mould, dust, kitchen cooking dirt and a noticeable level of humidity in the air, which made the apartment feel damp and not suitable for use (travelled with my 70y old mom). The check-in process was also unnecessarily complicated. It required calling the property manager, however my calls were not answered. The call was only picked up when I used a different phone with a foreign number, at which point I was sent an automated access code. This added unnecessary stress upon arrival. The listing describes the property as “deluxe,” however aside from the central location, the property does not meet that standard in terms of condition or cleanliness. Due to these issues, I was unable to stay and had to arrange alternative accommodation. Despite raising these concerns immediately, no resolution was provided and my request for a refund was not accepted.

• Evan (9/5): Would Recommend - Everything is a 20 minute walk away, a never drying well of beautifully interesting things to do. The court yard and the apartment were beautiful, an amazing property. The shower was big and suited a bigger group well. Nikos communicated with us very timely and respectfully. Under the beds we found some old rubbish including a child's pacifier. The cleaners came 15 minutes before our checkout time, we were ready but still, we did pay for those minutes and we were rushed. The electricity went off one morning so we didn't get to shower or charge our phones, there was work happening in the building which I assume was preplanned and could have been mentioned to us before we arrived.
• Paul (9/5): Great location and comfortable apartment - Lots of space including kitchen and living room and courtyard. Very central location to explore the town and some very good bars and restaurants on the doorstep. Central location means lots of street noise.
• Μανώλης (1/5): Η χειρότερη εμπειρία!! - Η τοποθεσία! Η διαμονή μας σε αυτό το κατάλυμα ήταν από τις χειρότερες εμπειρίες που έχουμε ζήσει. Το διαμέρισμα παραδόθηκε σε απαράδεκτη κατάσταση καθαριότητας, με εμφανή βρωμιά και έλλειψη βασικής συντήρησης, κάτι που δεν συνάδει με φιλοξενία επί πληρωμή. Ιδιαίτερη ανησυχία προκαλεί το ζήτημα της ασφάλειας, καθώς υπήρχαν επικίνδυνες ηλεκτρικές εγκαταστάσεις που θα μπορούσαν να οδηγήσουν σε ηλεκτροπληξία. Το γεγονός αυτό καταγράφηκε σε φωτογραφίες και βίντεο. Η στάση του διαχειριστή ήταν εξίσου προβληματική. Αντί για επαγγελματισμό και διάθεση εξυπηρέτησης, αντιμετωπίσαμε ψέματα για διθεν συνεργείο καθαρισμού ότι ήρθε όταν λειπαμε από το σπίτι και πλήρη απροθυμία να επιλύσει τα ζητήματα που του επισημάνθηκαν. Συνολικά, πρόκειται για ένα κατάλυμα που δεν πληροί ούτε τις βασικές προδιαγραφές καθαριότητας, ασφάλειας και φιλοξενίας. Δεν πρόκειται απλώς για κακή εμπειρία, αλλά για μια διαμονή που δεν θα έπρεπε να προσφέρεται υπό αυτές τις συνθήκες. Δεν συνιστάται.

• Sabine (5/5): Décevant - L'emplacement 2 chambres sont juste au-dessus d'un bar, sans double vitrage et du bruit jusqu'à 3 h du matin. Donc difficile de dormir. Les 3 chambres sont climatisées mais pas le salon et la cuisine, comme il y fait plus de 30 ° il n'est pas possible d'y passer du temps. Enfin les wc sont dans l'unique salle d'eau, cela est problématique pour 7 personnes. C'est plutôt un appartement pour des jeunes qui veulent faire la fête mais pas pour découvrir Athènes.

• Hanson (10/5): Cosy place, great location, and the owner was fantastic. Definitely thinking about booking again. - Location was perfect. As soon as you walk out the property you are straight into a busy side street with bars and cafes/restaurants. 5 minute walk maximum from amenities and main road, and the courtyard was a perfect place to stop for a few hours and let time pass by.

• Ron (8/5): Very good - The location was really nice We had a mixed but overall decent experience. First and foremost, Nikos, the host, was very nice, welcoming, and attentive when we arrived. He made a genuine effort to address the issues we raised, which we really appreciated. The apartment itself has three bedrooms and can accommodate quite a few people, but it's important to note that there is only one bathroom (shower and toilet in the same room), which can be a bit of a challenge for larger groups. The building is older, and while maintenance is generally okay, it doesn't go much beyond that. Some features—like the doors to the rooms and bathroom—are quite dated and squeaky, which can make it difficult for everyone to sleep if someone is up late or early. A major consideration is the location: the apartment is situated directly above a very popular bar. While this means you're in a lively area, it also means that on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights, it can be quite noisy until 1 or 2 a.m. This may not be ideal for light sleepers or families with young children. Lastly, we did notice some mold in the bathroom, which made that space feel a bit unpleasant. Overall, this place could work well for groups who plan to enjoy the nightlife and aren’t too sensitive to noise. Nikos is a lovely and responsive host, and with a bit more attention to maintenance, the apartment has potential to be much more comfortable.
• Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful location close to the acropolis and many shops and restaurants. Extremely comfortable bed and linens! Great kitchen with all amenities and living space with comfortable furniture ! Overall a perfect stay. Nikos was a welcoming host and we felt very at home in his booking. He made sure to meet us on the first day and explain all the details for access and amenities. The bathroom is a wet bathroom so after showering the whole area was wet. Sharing one access key between two people was sometimes inconvenient.
• Heath (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay, the convenience was amazing. - The property is in a fantastic location to experience restaurants, bars and shopping. Close to the metro It can get extremely noisy as you are above a bar. It usually ends about 1am. I will say it was a holiday week when we arrived, it was late the bar fed us even though the kitchen was closing, This is not the place for rest it is a place to enjoy Athens! If you aren't using all the rooms try staying in the back room it is a bit quieter.

• Hans (6/5): Great location but extremely vivid and loud area. - Extremely central. Spacious. Friendly host. Extremely loud. Single glas windows. Above bar (disco on friday) in a very very lively neighborhood. Impossible to sleep without noise cancelling headphone and on the street side. If you want a quiet stay and go to bed relatively early, look elsewhere. If you enjoy nightlife: this is a fantastic spot.

• Hanna (10/5): Nikos the host was beyond helpful, perfect location, central to everything you need and would want to go and see. - The location is beyond perfect, rooms were really spacious. Beautiful courtyard area, all amenities in the house worked fine eg: washing machine. We had 5 of us stay with so much room, plenty of space for more guests. Nikos was Easily the best host we’ve had on our 6 weeks of travel x Absolutely nothing, we would stay every time I go to Athens!
• Maria (9/5): Fabulous location in the heart of Monastiraki/Psirri!!! - The location of this property is top notch, I don't think we could've asked for a better place! We were minutes away from the nearest Metro and all the eateries, cafes, & bars were walking distance. It was convenient to access the lock key once we were in contact with the owner. Everything we needed except trash bags were provided! Do note though we were 9 of us sharing 1 bathroom, but we knew that and made it work! It was a small price to pay for the location. I feel like communication for check in and check out could have been better. Not all foreigners will be able to make calls in Greece (some of us only opted for data plans and not calling) so it would have been good to have alternative ways of communicating with the owner, like WhatsApp which every other service/hotel in Greece was available on. Also, there were not any garbage bags provided, but luckily we brought our own so we were able to take our trash out. It was also not clear where to dispose of the trash once we took it out of the apartment, I had to call the owner to ask. Lastly, check out email stated we should leave the keys inside the apartment on the table but the owner texted us after we had left to remember to place keys in lock box. It would have been nice to have written instructions provided upon arrival (perhaps update the WiFi connection card---that was super helpful so thank you!!). Otherwise, the lodging and experience were great!
