• Chris (7/5): Decent place, needs a little maintenance. - Thoughtfully decorated and kitchen well equipped. Some nice touches and a very good welcome pack left for us as well as a surprise bottle of Prosecco left in the fridge. Property is very clean which was appreciated (and expected.) Unfortunately one of the two showers was not working. This was promptly reported albeit during our first evening. Owners responded promptly the next morning. Unfortunately, we missed their second message which asked us to leave the key behind for the plumber, by which time we were out and it was too far / time consuming to return. This meant a second evening of shower sharing…not in itself mission critical, but a real pain when the consequence is a cold shower for “the last one in!” There is a small amount of mould near the bath (photo can be supplied) and what may be a small patch of damp on the wall of one, maybe two of the bedrooms- could do with looking at. We say this not to moan but to make the point that higher prices come hand in hand with higher expectations. We are sure that the owners are nice people and will take this constructive feedback on board. Overall to be fair, a good stay but to also be balanced could only score as 7/10.

Very thoughtful owners of this property as they had a travel cot for - The open space for the kids to play and very homely very spacious rooms and very clean We didn’t dislike anything about this property , everything was spot on and we’re planning to go here again for our next break away

• Malcolm (10/5): The property was good value for money and the host were very accommodating, if we return to Torquay we would seriously c - It was bright and comfortable It did have a musky smell, perhaps it could do with some diffusers to take it off Little damp on some walks ie bedroom with the en suite The bedroom with the en suite there was no mirror near a plug to so a hair dryer could be plugged in when drying hair Lovely that provisions were left thank you But as there we six of us 1 tin of baked beans, 1 jar of pasta sauce and 2 baguettes were not going to go far, not that to be honest was a big deal for us as we mainly eat out for breakfast and our meals

• Karen (10/5): Lovely little apartment/flat - The flat was clean and spacious. The beds were comfortable. The kitchen had all you would need for your stay including tea, coffee, hot chocolate, biscuits, butter etc. plenty of cutlery, plates, glasses and even a dishwasher. The hosts left us some milk and Prosecco in the fridge which was really appreciated. Towels were provided and of a good quality. The location is good for exploring the area. For those not familiar with Torquay, it is very hilly. Not a problem for us as we knew this. The living/ dining area of the property was quite dark. Not much the hosts can about this. Most of the door handles turn to the right to open, which can be a bit difficult as some of the handles are quite close to the doorframes.

It was located close (about 10 min. walk) to Torquay attractions, main street, beach, shops. The accommodation was perfect. there was not a thing we didn't like

But we contacted the owners and even woth it being late at night when we got there they went above and beyond to rectify the situation. We would definitely stay here again and have even been looking at future dates to book. Loved our stay and hosts were great

Beautiful accommodation. Thank you Parking is very tight and we were unable to park in our car park space as no-one else would have been able to manoeuvre. Visitors/Decorators! Maybe a blind could be fitted in the on-suite as my mum was in the shower when work-men were walking passed the window. This probably wouldn't be necessary in normal circumstances. It would have been nice to have been advised about the decorating happening on site though!

• Carmel (8/5): Brilliant few days away, beautiful apartment and great contact with the owners - Beautiful apartment, good sized, lovely and clean, bit hilly but only a 10 minute walk to the beach on one side of the hill and 10 minutes to the town on the other side. There was a washing machine but no where to air clothes.

• Nicky (10/5): Absolutely fantastic property and would highly recommend! - This property was stunning. Everything we needed and more. The place was spotlessly clean. Excellent communication by the hosts too. Nothing except it mentioned a tumble dryer and I couldn’t find one. Also it should be mentioned that there are steep steps to get to the flat and also the property is at the top of a steep hill too so if you have difficulties with walking and steps this may not be the place for you.

• Laura (9/5): A perfect place for families to stay with plenty of space and great hosts. - The property is in a great location and we loved the welcome pack provided by the hosts. The place was light and airy and perfect for a little family getaway. It's nice to be able to have some space to sit and enjoy a meal together too. The booklet with leaflets was great. Not a major thing, but the driveway is a tad tight to get into! It would be good to know about alternative parking for larger vehicles. We have a LWB VW transporter which is a bit of a chunky thing! I felt bad about taking up so much parking space on the drive even though it was tucked in as much as possible. This is in no part a reflection on the hosts as they weren't aware of our vehicle. Reversing in was best, breathing in as you skim past the gate posts doesn't make the van any smaller!
• Derek (8/5): Good spacious apartment - Spacious bedrooms, cleanliness, very convenient to the shop and the seafront, but it is a bit tiring walking back up. Door knobs that turn Inward rather than out and there is not enough space to turn so make it very difficult to open the doors, the dining chairs are wobbly my mum wouldn't sit on it .

• Hayleyv88 (9/5): Superb - Beautifully presented and stunningly clean apartment. It's also very spacious, the photos don't do it justice. Having 2 bathrooms for a large group was a bonus. It's a short walk to the beach/ town and beds are mostly comfortable. While the location is handy it is up a few very steep hills which may be difficult for some people. I found the bed in the room with ensuite was too soft but that's just personal preference! We had a few days of good weather before a few days of wind and rain but every evening and morning were very chilly. Its cold for this time of year, My parents are older and complained of being cold all night, turns out the heating was set to half 7 in the morning and half 5 in the evening for just an hour each time which didn't do much so we had to re set it to be more comfortable. I booked for 5 adults and 2 children, we're all siblings with our own kids and our parents. Stated 5 beds but there were 2 doubles and 2 singles so assumed a sofa bed but none of the sofas turn into a bed and no extra bedding so my 6 ft 4 brother had to sleep on the sofa as it was all week. The bigger sofa is facing away from the TV, would make more sense to swap. The neighbours upstairs are noisy, watch TV until after midnight loudly then again from half 4 in the morning. When upstairs have a bath/ shower the water pours down to outside the front of this apartment and runs along the steps so perhaps plumbing problems. Not the hosts fault but something that could effect this property.

It was lovely and quiet but still very close to everything we needed to have an awesome stay. Having free on-site car parking was amazing too and i really appreciate not having to climb any stairs in order to access the spaces!

• Daisy (10/5): A little gem... - This is a little gem of a find. It is absolutely immaculate. Bed was so comfy, soft pillows, soft towels. The shower was better than one we have at home. Kitchen equipped with everything you need even though we ate out. Really enjoyed our stay. In fact we're going back in 4 weeks!! Nothing, all perfect..

Easy to find & access. a bracing walk to Seafront & Harbour. ample parking along seafront for evening return visit to Eat & Drink. Swift direct access to drive along to Paignton & also Brixham. Accommodation far better than advert implies & extremely spacious. All facilities adequate & functional. Fast WiFi & good lighting, esp as this being a Basement apartment. Delightful Garden area to take in the Air & if so inclined to have a smoke & Drink. Not an issue with the accommodation but Entrance to property could be a tight squeeze for any bad driver. but was manageable (just) for my Large Saloon Car, which grounded out on the dip from drive to road when carrying 4 occupants. This being in no way a complaint but an observation, on the Victorian buildings original construction & in no way owners fault. I advise drive either "very" slowly or have passengers get out before driving out/in.
• Bailey (10/5): Wonderful and would have no hesitation in booking again - I booked the property last minute, as the hotel that my brother and in-laws were booked into was horrid. Myself and my wife were in a different hotel as we had all booked at different times to come down to Torquay. I was very glad that i could get my family away from that other hotel and into this property. It was very affordable for the quality of accommodation, their apartment is beautiful and very spacious. Very big for a two bed apartment. It was very easy to book into, thanks to their communication and welcome pack, it honestly made our holiday pleasant again. I'm so grateful to the owners for getting us in so quickly (same day!) Lovely comfy lounge, complete with dvd's, books and games. A nice dining area where we could sit and eat together and my family loved their bedrooms and bathrooms. (2 bathrooms!) All in all, i would definitely check if this property was available in the future! I'm not going to criticize a thing. It was stunning.

• Takhar (9/5): Spacious and well appointed accommodation - We had a wonderful stay at the flat over August bank holiday weekend. It was much larger than expected. Emma and Robert were very helpful, promptly answering any queries I had prior to our arrival. They also left us milk and a welcome basket which was much appreciated. Highly recommend this place to anyone thinking of visiting Torquay. Parking was a bit tight when others didn't park with consideration. Not owner's fault and appreciate free parking.

They had clearly ensured they were well equipped for everyone (including a fab arrival pack and our little one had a cot, high chair and feeding equipment). The apartment is huge and the bed was really comfy. On the listing it said no WiFi, it definitely has WiFi!! Thanks for having us! Read reviews about the parking being awkward but it was fine. The apartment is at the top of a steep hill but again, this was good exercise.

Needed airing and a deep clean carpets needed proper fitting and damp had clearly been an issue. Parking was difficult if you had a large car, but in fairness neighbour's were accommodating
