• Tim (6/5): Stunning location & beautifully appointed house didn't make up for the neglect. Disappointing! - Stunning location Property seemed to be in a state of neglect. Scruffy surroundings. Debris lying around the property. Abandoned generator behind the building. Equipment littered the area around the tub Simple things were overlooked in thr house: No toilet roll in holder. No hand towel holder in bathroom. No serviettes in holder. Indoor plants withering. Huge disappointment with the outdoor tub. Never really managed any success after 3 bags of wood & hours of coaxing. Friendly maintenance guy, Ricardo, also did his best to help. Matters that need to be reported to owner/manager: Leaking roof around chimney; decking roof sheets damages by high winds & need to be secured
• Vanessa (9/5): We loved every minute of our stay. The cottage is well stocked and we had everything we needed. Mostly, the river was - The isolation and location next to the river is spectacular! The hot tub is rusty and has no seating inside.

• Kristelle (8/5): It was very relaxing and a wonderful way to unplug and reconnect with nature and loved ones. - What a beautiful location. The river was spectacular and the views amazing. We saw a lot of wildlife; lizards, spiders, buck, fish and even some wild cat (possibly Caracal) and baboon spoor. The property gets pretty hot during summer, so be prepared for some heat. The heat could be unbearable if the wind blows in the wrong direction and no amount of windows allows for the cottage to cool down. Would prefer a little more complete kitchen.

• Mandy (6/5): Bijzondere plek, maar aan de voorzieningen moet wat verbeterd worden - Locatie, uitzicht, hottub Stinkende kussens Geen airco. Maar ook geen ventilator!! Het was zoooo heet binnen. Alle 3 niet geslapen twee nachten. Veel ongedierte Ramen niet bekleed tegen de zon

• Ursula (4/5): Although the venue is lovely, we left early due to the extreme heat inside the unit at night. - The view from the deck of this property is lovely and the unit is well laid out. The river below is easily accessible. The natural surrounds are beautiful. As we saw a snake on arrival and spiders on the roof of the deck at night, we did not feel we could leave any windows or doors open while we slept. There are no ceiling fans, and it gets unbearably hot inside the unit. It feels like the owners have not slept in this unit during Summer otherwise they would know and inform travelers in advance. We had to travel very far to get cellphone reception. We drove to the place marked on the map as having some reception, but we could not get Vodacom reception. Even though I informed the owner via Booking.com that we left early, we only received feedback from them 5 days later on our email. Their only advice was that we should have opened a window or door to relieve the heat inside the unit. As explained, this is not possible.
