• Clara (10/5): Give it a go! - Sama Wadi Rum was pretty cool! We'd never been to Wadi Rum so we had no idea what to expect...we were not disappointed. Before we arrived, we contacted Sama for information on tour options because we were interested in a jeep tour. Our contact sent us info on different jeep tours (length of time), stargazing, and camel rides. We opted for the 6-hour long jeep tour. The camp was tucked up against a cliff, with a great view of the desert and mountains laid out in front of us, to include a mountain featured in 2 Star Wars movies. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner options were not expensive, at all. Bottled water and sodas for sale, on site. The jeep tour was amazing and fun! You get ample time at sites, and many sites have vendors selling drinks, food, and souvenirs. You'll get the chance to climb dunes, hike along rocky structures, see pictographs, and be amazed at the stunning landscapes! Plus, our guide, Hosam, while young, was very knowledgeable, confident, and fun, and more than happy to help take photos for guests. All in all, a great place to stay, with a great tour of Wadi Rum. ☺️

• Anna (3/5): This camp is a lie and super shady. Do not book! - I booked the luxury triple room which boasted a fireplace and bathtub. This room does not exist. When I demanded what I paid for, they took me to a different camp, claiming the first place they took us to was the wrong one. The next place was worse. At least the first camp had an actual double bed instead of two singles pushed together like they did at the second camp. I honestly don’t even know which was “Sama Camp”. They are apparently all owned by the same person. When I asked about the fireplace, their first response was “the air conditioner is also a heater”. 😧 Is this a joke? There is no luxury experience available here. Do not expect it. The “tours” of the desert are incredibly overpriced and basically included being driven around to take pictures with very little information. The lunch is also incredibly overpriced and you have very little choice but to eat there since you’re in the middle of nowhere. We also witnessed another guest going through this same discussion with the staff about the wrong room, and they took her phone and deleted her booking on the Booking.com app so she couldn’t do anything about it. Worst of all, the housekeeper stole from us. He was caught, admitted it, and they didn’t dismiss him. We had to insist he come nowhere near our room, and they still tried to send him to clean our room. It was such a bad experience in every way. Mr. Eid tried to help but seemed to have very little power over the situation.

Mahmoud took us from the park to the beautiful camp, then we went to see the rooms, they were amazing, and after that we booked a car tour for 6 hours Inside the desert includes sunset and then we returned to the camp and had dinner and went on a stargazing tour. The activities were amazing in every sense of the word. I highly recommend it and I will definitely come back for anyone who wants a good stay. It was one of the most wonderful accommodations that I have ever experienced. Everything is beautiful and organized. Literally everything is beautiful. The leader took us to the camp from the parking lot and took us to the camp upon arrival. We went. To see the rooms and I was shocked there. The rooms were the most amazing, very wonderful. The view was absolutely stunning and other things. They have a delicious dinner. It is a really luxurious hotel. In the afternoon we went in the car in the desert for 6 hours and it was beautiful. We went to amazing heritage areas with our beautiful leader and watched the sunset and then came back. To the hotel, it was history, and after dinner we also went to the middle of the desert to watch the mesmerizing stars and drink tea on a natural fire. This is an incredible thing for anyone who wants to live a beautiful experience. I recommend Sama, Wadi Rum is truly incredible. Thank you for everything. My regards to you.

• Ana (9/5): Superb - It is a small cosy camp, better than the ones with many tents. Mahmoud and everyone was very nice. He was on time and we did not have to wait for him to pick us up or for food to be ready. Dinner and breakfast were delicious. The traditional style tent is clean, seems new, beautiful inside and out and I got to see the sunrise through the big window. The shower was hot and then I felt sorry I wasted their water :) The desert safari was also beautiful, with a lot of sights and a sunset spot. It is in an area with a lot of camps, a lot of power lines and luminous pollution, so you cannot see the stars at night and have that desert feeling that you are all alone. Unfortunately we saw a lot of plastic in the sand during the safari. Mahmoud and everyone there should take better care of their desert. In the morning I felt a bit sick probably because of the dry/powdered milk I put in my tea, but other than this the food was excellent.

• Engy (10/5): Exceptional - It was a wonderful and very beautiful stay. Commander Mahmoud received us and took us to the camp to see the camp. The surprise was here when we saw the rooms. They were beautiful, bubbly, warm and clean. Then we went to dinner. It was very delicious. Other than that, we also took a four-hour car ride into Wadi Rum. To see the beautiful landmarks such as the tower, the inscriptions, the high sands, and to see the sunset. After we returned to the camp, we took a tour to see the stars, then we returned to the camp, and the next morning we took the camels to see the sunrise. I cannot describe the stay in words because it is the most beautiful stay I have ever lived in Wadi Rum. I highly recommend it and offer my thanks. To our wonderful leader
