Guest Reviews
- Margaret (8/5): it met our needs - Central to our location to the church for wedding g we attended and Burleigh. Easy walk i to Stamford We enjoyed sitting outside because it was good weather but felt outside area could be tidier and cleaner I
- Patrick Venning (8/5): - Overall a positive experience.
A very good location walking distance to the town centre. The number of beds was perfect for the amount of people staying, other locations would have had us sharing beds.
The kitchen area and downstairs twin room were bright and airy. The showers were quite weak. Some tired/dated interior decorating.
The biggest issue was with the heating, we were unable to figure out how to turn it off or down and this made it too hot at night.
- Katherine (8/5): Perfect place for a family - It was a very spacious house with plenty of room for the 7 of us in my family.
The beds were very comfortable and it had a very nice kitchen dinner.
Pretty garden. Nice quiet area close to the town centre. Teri of the showers weren’t very powerful but the one on the main bathroom was good.
- Sandra (8/5): Comfortable house in great location within walking distance of Stamford. - Great location in walking distance of Stamford. The house was very comfortable with plenty of space. Only minor things - more saucepans would be good and would be helpful to provide a couple of tea towels.
- Sean (10/5): -
- Cinta (8/5): A very comfortable house that is good value - A very comfortable stay and good value Large roomy house with an easy walk to centre of Stamford
- Karen (7/5): - Great location, short walk from town centre Had few small issues inside the house, but mentioned to owner, so hopefully all fixed
- Sharon (8/5): - Comfortable and spaceous accomodation. Very useful downstairs bedroom and bathroom for an elderly relative and very well appointed. We would love to come back and stay in the summertime. Struggled to keep the house warm given the cold weather. The heating was off when we arrived and we never really managed to build up enough heat and maintain it. Also the shower in main bedroom did not heat up.
- Sharon (9/5): Great location exceptionally clean and tidy would recommend - Central location close to town, very clean and tidy great facilities for 7 people
- Agnes (10/5): Annual Christmas weekend away with friends. Stamford has everything we need, lots of nice shops and restaurants. Good to - Lovely and spacious . Good location for the town
Comfortable beds Nothing
- carolyn (10/5): It was a fantastic property, exceeded our expectations and we would happily stay again -

- Maria (10/5): Beautiful home away from home 🏠 - It was beautiful 🫶 loved everything about it, really felt like a home away from home, great to be able to home family from abroad all together with the facilities for our 2 elderly grandmother to stay downstairs and be very comfortable. There was nothing
- Katherine (10/5): Perfect stay for families. - Downstairs definitely more updated than upstairs, pictures reflect the property really well. House was absolutely SPOTLESS. I have a crawling infant so cleanliness in every nook and cranny is more.important to me right now than most and this house is flawless. Ground floor was fairly open plan so brilliant for her crawling around too. House so close to facilities, including a lovely park that my eldest enjoyed playing in and a pub round the corner that my Dad enjoyed visiting. Absolutely perfect for what we needed. Upstairs carpets could perhaps do with updating but at least everything was clean and I was so grateful that my room had a ceiling fan as one day was quite hot!
- Elizabeth (6/5): Enjoyable if basic - Good location with parking
Plenty of space Basic equipment in the kitchen
Only one T towel & 2 dishwasher tablets
- Deanne (8/5): Very nice stay - Really spacious and clean. Amzing location and great value. Nothing
- AngelaM777 (8/5): Spacious property with a great kitchen and location - For what I wanted it was good - the size of the house was excellent for 6 adults. The kitchen had a lot of space to make food in and there was more than enough space to store the food. The fridge was excellent - very spacious. The house is at the end of the street and that limited a lot of the traffic noise. The house felt a bit run down. The garden at the back was littered with cigarette tips and was overgrown. It is such a lovely spot to chill and relax with friends so it was a pity the way it looked. The boiler / heating setup was very noisy especially upstairs and some of the group had trouble sleeping the first few days. The stairs and the floor upstairs creaked no matter where you walked so that was a bit of a shame as a few of the group would come in and out while some stayed and the creaking was quite loud there was no way to avoid making a noise. The mattresses in the ground floor bedroom were very thin and uncomfortable where one could actually feel the springs come through. Other than this the place provided us with what we needed and we all had a good time.
- Deborah (10/5): A spacious 4 bed house near Stamford - Great location- 15 min walk into Stamford. Property was very clean and spacious.
Lovely to have a garden to sit in.
Very quiet area - slept very well! Comfy beds and lovely pillows and duvets.
The owners were quick to reply to any questions I had. Nothing to dislike- suggested more dishwasher tablets to be left and more tea towels.
Would definitely return!
- Jude (8/5): - This was perfect for our purposes. We were visiting a friend nearby and it meant we could all be close. The beds could be more comfortable.
- Simon (8/5): Very good -
- Sue (9/5): A quiet, pleasent retreat in comfortable setting. - In a quiet street, good parking. Spacious, clean, well equipped house. Comfortable beds, one downstairs with en-suite and shower. This was perfect for one of my guests. Large kitchen diner and comfortable lounge. Close to town center. The hosts were very amenable, were helpful with local information and easy to contact. The only thing was that the front key was a little difficult to operate.
- Joanna (9/5): Superb -
- Davis (10/5): Weekend trip for a local birthday celebration - Lovely house with lots of space and brilliant facilities, everything you need for a short stay or long stay. Great location, a few minutes walk into town and the garden on a sunny day was beautiful.
- Andrew (6/5): Pleasant - Great location
- Fiona (6/5): Very good and convenient location for group of friends. - Location, number of bedrooms, social space.
It was perfect for a 3 night break of 5 friends. We really enjoyed ourselves, eating breakfast and dinner in the house and having lunch out. To be fair these are the niggles, but part of our choice was to be able to cook and eat together. The oven was greasy and dirty, so was some of the crockery and cutlery. There were no dishwasher tablets provided, so we washed by hand, it would've been good if more teatowels were available. We couldn't find the hairdryer anywhere. A v small amount of teabags (5) were provided. There was no salt or pepper in the mills. Very small things I just wish I'd known in advance.
- Cheryl (9/5): We had a great stay. - Accommodated a family grouping of 7 comfortably. Parking. 3 showers. Lots of home from home extras provided which was a bonus. Great location in a quiet neighbourhood just a short walk away from the delightful centre of Stamford.
- Edmund (8/5): very good -
- Samantha (9/5): Superb -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - A very spacious and comfortable house very well suited for our family Christmas gathering.
- Sarah (8/5): Spacious and convenient for town - This was a great house for our trip. It was clean, spacious and well equipped. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need including tea, coffee, sugar and cleaning products. The dishwasher (tablets included) was a real bonus.
The bedroom configuration worked really well for our group. There was off street parking for two vehicles and the location was great for walking into town. The only niggle was that some of the crockery and glasses hadn't been washed up properly but there was plenty to use so not really a problem
- Marcus (8/5): Very good - A lovely property with large, comfortable living spaces. Clean. The downstairs bedroom and wet room offers great accessibility. The location felt central. We had a wonderful stay; a great house for our family get-together.
- Graeme (7/5): Good - Perfect for our fishing trip to rutland water..
Cheers. One smallish bad point is the lighting in the living room area.
no ceiling lighting with 2 wall lights and unfortunately one not working which made the living room area very dark at night..
Pretty much everything else was perfect for ourselves
Cheers
- Heather (10/5): Spacious modern home - Well appointed, modern house, with great facilities. Perfect for our needs. Nothing!!
- Craig (9/5): Fantastic hosts, beautiful property. - The house was beautiful, well thought out design with stunning kitchen & fantastic facilities if you’re travelling with someone elderly, disabled or young kids that just love running around. Not a lot except there were no alternatives to the feather down pillows so if you have allergies it would cause issues, the curtains weren’t black out so don’t expect a lay in but that’s just being nit picky.
- Jenna (9/5): Lovely family home in beautiful Stamford - Beautiful house and garden situated close to the town. Lovely bedrooms and extremely comfortable. Very grateful for an earlier check in especially with a little one. The front door was quite difficult to open and the oven was missing a knob however these were only minor issues and did not affect our stay.
- Stephen (7/5): Great value for money. - Quiet location near Stamford centre & plenty of space in the house. Well stocked for all crockery & cutlery etc. Well presented apart from a couple of niggles.
Landord was very helpful & communicative for any problems.
Keys were easy to access. The toilet seat in upstairs bathroom had come off & so difficult to use. The damage was caused by the previous occupant. The landlord was aware but could not fix it in time.
Shower cubical doors also in the upstairs bathroom were off the runners & could not be closed.
- Harriet (9/5): Great value property for 7 people staying within walking distance of Stamford centre. - The house was spacious, very clean, exactly what we wanted.
Nice bed linen, towels etc.
Very good value for money. Wobbly loo seat upstairs loo.
- Petersen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sean (8/5): Very good -
