Guest Reviews
- Anna (10/5): - Key safe could be higher on wall
- Karen (4/5): - The accommodation was clean and well equipped.
The bathroom was nice and all the extras were very welcome. The property wasn’t in very nice area, parking was not easy. The access to the property was very hazardous, with steep steps down to the property. It was dark when we arrived and the ginnel is poorly lit. If you have any mobility issues, this property is definitely not for you.
There is also a steep staircase leading to the bedrooms.

- Toni (10/5): Gorgeous cottage, would definitely stay again. - The whole cottage was so beautiful and very well organised. The products in the bathroom were a lovely touch, too. Bedroom doors overlooking the canal was stunning 😍 The steps down to the accommodation were quite steep and slippy, but everything else made up for that.
- Richard (10/5): Wonderful little 2 story building that is warm & cosy - Clean, modern, comfortable, warm & all the little Nick Nacks provided We had an 83 year old in the family group, the steps going down to the property in the dark was a little challenging, however don’t let that put you off, maybe bring a torch
- Vanessa (7/5): Good location and clean, well resourced property - Well resourced and good location Trees block my view and noise from upstairs - VERY LOUD until 4am which meant we didn’t sleep well at all 😔
- Peter (10/5): -
- Michelle (10/5): -
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (8/5): Very good -
- Michael (9/5): Superb - Clean and tidy and everything you would need . Lovely outside seating area Steps down to the property and very step stairs anyone with mobility issues this would not suit
- Helen (10/5): Gorgeous place! Super clean and great facilities. Would definitely book again. - Really clean, great facilities. Owner is really quick to reply to any questions.
- Dave (10/5): A well equiped cosy home with extras i have never had in any other holiday lets. Highly recommend - I liked the fact we were so close to the canal and had a lovely walk along it for a couple of hours. I'm a keen bird watcher and was pleasantly surprised to see a bull finch!! Also very close to supermarkets and lots of good eating places. There was nothing we didn't like about this property.
- Simon (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice, modern and clean apartment. Was perfect for our needs and in a really picturesque spot. Hosts are extremely helpful and accommodating
- Katie (10/5): Had a fantastic time in this cosy little house. Wish we were staying longer! - Had a fantastic time in this cosy little house. Wish we were staying longer but it was just a flying visit to see family who lived nearby. We will definitely be back as we would love to be able to use the outside area and have a walk down the canal.
The kitchen and bathroom were both well stocked with useful items. The shower was lovely (wish I had had time to try the bath!) and bedrooms had super comfy beds and big mirrors for getting ready in. Brilliant idea having the alarm clocks that charge phones wirelessly as we'd only taken one plug and cable.
- Peter (8/5): pleasant stay let down a touch by poor sleep. - nice sized accommodations in a good location for our needs. the property was clean & tidy with some nice touches that a property of this ilk should have. beds were comfortable, however particularly the bed in room 1, was very squeaky
lack of curtains in the bedroom meant that light entered the bedroom very early. pop a curtain rail up for a quick fix
- Andrew (9/5): Very good location with excellent facilities! - Clean, facilities good, extras in bathroom very helpful, good shower! Steep steps and passageway down to property!
- Philippa (9/5): Superb - Excellent location to the town.
Superb facilities and spotlessly clean 😄 Nothing
- Tracy (7/5): Had a lovely stay. Home from home - Beautiful house but the location of the entrance to the property was such a let down to approaching the property. Needs more lighting on approaching the property and the wooded beds needs looking into
- Duncan (10/5): Exceptional - Standard of the house and everything in it.
- Justine (8/5): Very good - We felt it was very comfortable with three of us staying there. The outside space was lovely to sit out on a sunny evening Because it was an underdwelling it had steep stone stairs going down to the front gate and door. I think an outside light would help for access down the stone stairs at night.
- Skyler (10/5): Lovely stay! - The place was lovely and clean. Very nice welcome basket with all kinds of treats in and great shower. Easy to find and good parking as well as having a fairly big patio area with a really nice view. We stayed her for a gig in the piece hall and it was only a 30 minute walk for us into the centre so also an ideal location for this. We will definitely stay again next time we are in the area!
- John (10/5): really nice, great communication from the owner. it even had a few spares of essentials - very quiet, nice back area for sitting location and decor
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional -
- Suzanne (7/5): Lovely property but no sleep due to problems stated - Property was very clean and lovely Location was very dirty, dog dirt going down steps and extremely loud music… beds creaky and lumpy & needs blackout blinds or curtains
- Sean (8/5): Well equipped, spotlessly clean cottage in a nice quiet location, with a private terrace. - The terrace was lovely on a sunny day, and the board games would have been great for a rainy one. The apartment is generally well-equipped and was perfect for a short stay.
- Natalie (9/5): Great location - We loved the location and how quiet it was.
The accommodation had everything we needed, although we didn't do any cooking.
Some information on how to get onto the canal would have been helpful. We could have had some tea towels and both beds were creaky.
Apart from that we had a great stay.
- Cullen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - Very well equipped cottage and very clean good for walkers Wouldn't have liked to try and find the cottage in the dark as it is down some very steep steps
- Chris (9/5): Superb -
- Clara (10/5): Perfect for a relaxing weekend - Modern, very comfortable accommodation full of thoughtful welcoming details. Lovely location, overlooking the canal and close to all ammenieties. Nothing.
- Lyndsey (10/5): Very good place to stay, will definitely use again. - Very modern and clean. Very comfortable accommodation. Really nice to have the extra touches such as shower creams etc. Nice view over canal and town. Access is down some steep steps, but they are well lit at night.
- Gareth (9/5): Superb - Clean, well appointed, quiet and comfortable. Lovely views and location. Everything you need with some nice touches and thoughtful additions. Steps down to the property could be a little tricky for some - especially with luggage. Not a problem for us though.
- Cullen (10/5): Exceptional - We know the area well our daughter lives there.as for the property it was excellent.owners great at the end of the phone to help anytime N/A
- John (8/5): Had an enjoyable weekend. - The location is a short walk from town with a nice outside space with views of the canal. One of the beds was very creaky and my friend managed to get water everywhere when having a shower.
- Vanessa (10/5): Perfect accomodation - Perfect accommodation for us whilst we visited local friends. Really spotless, slept well and all the extra little touches were much appreciated. Extra towels/ sewing kit/ first aid kit / Netflix's and helpful suggestions of where to visit and eat.
- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Carly (10/5): Thoroughly enjoyed so peaceful. Wished we could have stayed longer - AmazIng use of space and finished to a high standard. All little extras were a very nice touch everthing had been thought of. Gorgeous little courtyard area ti sit at so peaceful. We loved staying here perfect location for us near a fab town with all you need. Only criticism one bed is very creaky everytime you move also mattresses are not very comfy. Hubby had to sleep on sofa the second night.
Also a lock on the bathroom would be welcomed for teens who want privacy and not worrying someone will walk in.
But we would 100% stay here again!!
