Would highly recommend - Location was perfect and the shopping bags, umbrella in case of rain, pool towels, plenty of toiletries etc were a nice little touch. Communication with the host was easy and replies always prompt. Directions given were very clear to follow. Nice BBQ and pool area on the roof. Very clean! Pillows on the bed were too firm and the profile of them a bit high - perhaps out of the four pillows provided, two can be firm and two a little softer/lower profile. It was also a little bit noisy from neighbouring properties. It would also have been nice to have a sink in the kitchen area, rather than have to use the bathroom sink to wash dishes.

The apartment had everything we required and was very clean. The location was perfect close to all shops, restaurants and a short walk to the Marina. Nothing it was perfect

• Carmel (10/5): Exceptional - This was essentially a home away from home. Perfect location within walkable distance to everything needed. Parking was a great bonus as many in Cairns do not have parking available.

I didn’t accept the keys of the apartment because it was too small, it doesn’t like the website shows (it wasn't nice bed, etc), with the lady was no easy to talk (she said you already paid you have to take it). Also the reservation appears City Quays Accommodation instead of Park Regis City, why other name?. At the reception I tried to find another room but it wasn’t possible. I didn’t accept the keys of the apartment because it was too small, it doesn’t like the website shows (it wasn't nice bed, etc), with the lady was no easy to talk (she said you already paid you have to take it). • Frederic (10/5): lovely stay in beautifully equipped apartment - lovely lady organised a meeting time and met us downstairs, explaining how everything works (keys , car par doors..) . the apartment is lovely , good view big balcony , nicely decorated. plus it has all the necessary items to cook and clean and it has a laundry/washing machine/dryer which is really useful . great location too, near the marina. perfect if you have an early start to go on the reef. pool upstairs is nice too. —

• Helen (8/5): In general it was comfortable and had an excellent location. - The mattress was very comfortable. It was clean. It was enough room for a person on their own or a couple. It was located in a good position. Not far to walk to the esplanade. The Tv was huge for a small room. Some might like that. I didn't like having to wash my cups etc in the bathroom sink. However. I did like that there was detergent and sponge to do so. Also when I booked it showed me an apartment with separate a room to the bedroom. The image shouldn't be there if it is the attached room next door with a kitchenette all in the same room.. It is a bit decieving.
• Joshua (6/5): Great mattress and central location, but no kitchen as shown in the pictures. - I found the new mattress incredibly comfortable. It was an excellent combination of a plush top cushion with a supportive medium-firm sublayer. I suspect it used latex or memory foam as a material. It was nice to not feel movement transfer when your partner tosses and turns in the bed. The room was very clean. The location was a few blocks from the central commercial street in downtown and an easy 10 minute walk to the pier where ferries leave for day tours. The parking spot included with the room was wonderful, as all street parking requires payment and has time restrictions. The pictures posted for this "studio room" show a kitchen and several other images that do not pertain to this rental, but rather the one-bedroom apartment next door that is also by the same owner. The studio only provides a mini fridge and toaster. The posting should clearly call this out as a "studio with kitchenette." It is misleading to have pictures that do not pertain to the studio unit specifically. The featured thumbnail picture that appears on Booking.com for this unit is the kitchen. I would have NOT booked this room for the price without the kitchen. I encourage the property owner to make sure the photos for the room listings are accurately separated and not duplicated between the City Quays 1 and City Quays 2 listings on Bookings.com. Also, please note that the wifi service signal is so weak in the studio that it is virtually unusable. I suspect the router is housed in the neighboring 1-bedroom (Quays 1) unit and the signal doesn't pass through the walls enough to function. Please invest in a better router or range extender to adequately served the studio with functioning internet so that guests can make good use of the wonderful desk in the room.

• Louise (9/5): Superb - What a surprise, such a lovely apartment. The host was lovely. Great views and so close to dining and esplanade. And yet so quite. Big tv and the little things made a difference such as sunscreen etc. you cant go wrong.
• Shannon (10/5): Everything you need for a comfortable stay. - The room had everything I needed for the night. A/c and fans, multiple towels, iron and board, comfy bed and ample pillows. There was also cold water in the fridge for arrival, which, in this heat, was very welcomed. I did feel a little bad waiting in the hotel foyer when I wasn’t staying with the hotel and I don’t think reception were too pleased with it either. I would recommend finding a different solution to this.

The next day we also went to green Island so again location was perfect. It was close to shops and beautiful restaurants. Carolyn was very easy to communicate with and she was very supportive of any questions we threw her way. The apartment was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed, the pool on the rooftop was beautiful for a night time swim upon arrival and for day time dips That we had to come home
